Turn off notifications
Turn off notifications for the owner of the account on specific tasks not pertaining to this individual. The account owner is receiving notifications for everyone else's tasks and assignments.

Ability to send e-mails from Box Web UI when "Restrict collaboration to within <Enterprise name>" in folder setting are activated

In this state, shared link are used to share files with external users.But with the update above, we can no longer send shared links by email from Box Web UI.
Copying the shared link and sending a separate email is a workaround, but it doesn't get users to understand.

Data files that are textual are not identified as text for preview
I'd LOVE for the ability at the enterprise level to be able to say that ANY file with a given extension should be previewed as if it were this other extension. This would both add extensions as WELL as override the Box.com default content type logic.
examples:
myCustomersOrderData.edi should be previewed as is it were a text file, so .edi as .txt
.json as .txt
.funky as .mdI say at the enterprise level so this works for manually uploaded files. However, if an appropriate attribute could be sent in the file upload|modify|version APIs, that would be better than nothing.

Ability to switch english to french in Box for PDF's and other documents
Have a toggle for French or Spanish users, to be able to switch the content to french or Spanish.
Which will alter the pdf documents, Word , Excel and others within box?Thanks

Add the ability for previewer/uploader, viewer, and previewer to preview video files that contain watermarks.
Currently, due to the specifications in the following article, previewer/uploader, viewer, and previewer cannot preview watermark enabled video files from Box.
Box Notes, video, audio, flash, .msi, .exe, .zip, and 3D files do not support watermarking. Enabling this feature prevents previewer uploaders, viewers and previewers from viewing these file types.

For company operations, when sharing video files with users outside the company, it is a rule to collaborate and share with users outside the company with previewer.

Have a personalized name for a shared file or folder
It would be great if we could apply a tag, or rename a file or folder to something private to the user rather than what the original owner named the file.
Today we can move those items into Collections to manage them with our own naming, but that doesn't resolve the issue of individual files or folders with ambiguous names.For example: I need to track certain files that a bunch of different teams are working on as part of "Company Project 1". Collaboration Allowlist - Ability to Download and Sort
On Admin Console enterprise settings > collaboration allowlist the domains are not in order and there’s no good way to search it. When you have more than 20 domains it becomes unusable for anything but adding. Need ability to sort/filter as well as export allowlist details.

Add 'type' in column sidebar features.
Currently the features at the column sidebar only can sort by 'Name', 'Updated' and 'Size' only.
It would be nice if the column sidebar from box layout features can be add another item on it, Which is I'm looking for 'Type' of folder/file to be add.
This will make the layout neater and more organized because the colors of files and folders in the waeb app makes them cluttered which makes the layout seem not regulated efficiently, and it will also make it easier to search for files and folders especially in large quantities of files in one folder. Would like the ability to set the Data Residency Zone via REST API and SDK
It would be very beneficial for my organization if we could get a handle to the Data Residency Zone via REST API and Java SDK. We are currently incorporating all the "Freemium" accounts that were created before we set the domains that weren't allowed to create as a free user. It would be nice to be able to set their data zone programmatically based on information we gather from our Active Directory as we incorporate them.

allow user to set view-only mode
Allow me to read a box document or folder in read-only mode. If I accidentally touch or slip with the mouse - I modify the folder/document. "UNDO" will only do a little bit - but in this case I KNOW I am only browsing a folder that I will be contributing to. It's a bit of a downer to see a document marked as modified today (last modification was a year ago by the document creator) because I missed the CTRL button and typed a "c" into the text. file preview, upload and download api
Right now we are missing information about the number of times a file has been downloaded or previewed using the API endpoint 'get file information' https://developer.box.com/reference/get-files-id/
We can only access this info through the admin console reports. It would be useful to access this info directly using the API1 vote -
Notification to BOX Folder Co-Owner(s) when Owner has been removed/deleted
The current behavior in BOX when a Folder owner is removed / deleted from the system is the Folder is no longer available.
The process, in my experience, to recover the folder is not obvious, quick nor easy.
I propose the BOX system notify all Folder Co-owners of a pending Folder removal / deletion and allow 2 weeks for the co-owner(s) to determine whether the Folder should be removed from BOX and if the decision is to keep the Folder active to determine the new Owner as well.1 vote
