Metadata: enable cascading Metadata for custom Metadata
I enabled Cascading Metadata, but can only use existing Metadata Templates. When I try to use custom Metadata that is not an existing template, I get error: "Cascade policy cannot be applied to custom metadata at this time."

Today, I can transfer ownership of a single workflow or re-assign a single task from one person to another, but if someone goes on vacation, is sick, or leaves the company and they own multiple workflows or have multiple tasks assigned to them, then today we cannot group these together and transfer them all at once. Instead, we have to transfer workflow ownership and re-assign tasks one-by-one-by-one-by-one-by-one......

Box Drive Security - Utilize MFA/ Enforce connection to specific network
For several reasons having our staff use Box Drive to access their files is the most helpful for our office. However it would be great if some additional security features could be added to Drive such as requiring the user be connected to specific network or utilize an MFA process. We currently have a vpn requirement setup to access the Box web app through our Okta service but this doesnt work as well with Drive since it caches the user credentials.

Compatibility with MadCap Flare PDF Output (Fix copy/paste in preview mode)
In Box.com preview mode of a PDF that was built via MadCap Flare, when you copy text and paste it somewhere, it removes all of the spaces in the text and makes it one big string (see example below). The copy/paste feature works fine from PDFs built out of InDesign and in all downloaded PDFs. This has been a common issue for our Support reps who want to simply copy/paste text from a previewed product documentation PDF into a Support case without having to download it each time.

Quicker way to export legal hold info at scale
For enterprises that leverages Legal Holds at a very large scale (hundred of them or more) some would like a quicker snapshot to see which users are custodians under legal holds in their environment, and how much content is being affected (in GBs, without listing every individual piece) without running hundreds of legal holds reports individually to gather this data. A quick check like this would then allow them to decide which legal holds they need to run more granular reports on, saving time and resources

Allow Adobe Bridge to Show BOX Drive Folders/Files (Worked in Previous BOX Version)
With the update to BOX Drive Version 2.24.208, Adobe Bridge no longer shows BOX folders and Files when opening files in the application. In pervious BOX Drive version, Adobe Bridge showed folders/files, just like any other files – either local or in other cloud applications. HUGE inconvenience to workflow. Please reinstate this functionality.

Import shield classification pattern values from a xls or doc
Ability to import custom terms from a xls - the ability to import any shield value (ex email domains) from a xls or doc is important because that is how they manage such lists with other applications

Add "Like" button to comments
I would like to "like" comments on the preview so that is is easier to show that I have checked the comment without typing a new comment to say I have checked it.
We are now getting more use to using reactions from Slack/Teams that it would be nice to react with a "like" or a thumbs up reaction.124 votesWe are planning on adding the ability to resolve comments in the future, but do not have the ability to like comments as part of the roadmap.

Editors ability to create open shared links
Request to have collaborator “Editor” permissions not able to create “Create shared link”.
Or, have the ability to configure or option to have “Editor” be able to create links or not create shared links.
Or, create another classification similar to editor, that would be able to edit content but, not create shared links.

Allow Relay notifications to include manually entered email addresses instead of limiting the list to existing collaborators
Currently the Relay system will only allow notifications to be sent to existing collaborators or users. There should be a way to allow any manually entered email address to be a notification destination. This would allow for group or shared email accounts to be a notification destination. Group email addresses or shared email accounts may not exist as specific collaborators but still could be useful for notifications.

Improved messaging for "Share" dialog box and handling of Links
I have been using Box for a couple of years and still find the Share function and creation of Links very confusing and non-intuitive. For example, what are "Invited People?" and how are they different than 'People with the Link?" Why have 2 different places to copy the link? One is on the first dialog box and it appears that one takes the viewer to Box.com and they can view or download the file, but then if you click on "Link Settings" adifferent dialog box opens and there is another link you can copy. Search file contents for non-standard file types (e.g. py, R)
It would be a wonderful if Box could be adjusted to index and search the file contents for files beyond Microsoft Office and text files. For example, much of what I would like to search is in python or R scripts, so being able to index and search those files as well would be very helpful.
(it would also be very useful to search specific metadata field such as "name" or "type", like windows explorer enables)

Expose Box's "Notification Email" field to SAML provisioning and syncing
The "Notification Email" functionality in Box is very helpful for @mentions, file sharing invites and other user notificaitons that need to go to an email address other than the email address used to sign into Box. This can be the necessary when a company has subsidiaries on a common directory infrastructure, but one or more subsidiaries is still maintain the old email identities for day to day work. There are likely other reasons to use this field.

Removal of restrictions on the number of contents displayed in the Trash Box
The limit on the number of contents that can be displayed in the Recycle Bin without using a marker base will be removed. Contents of 150 pages or more will be displayed in the Recycle Bin without limitation.

Add file count to Folder Properties
Folder properties on browser based app should display the number of files in the folder. We use Box for photoshoot asset sharing while still in production (before moving to our DAM) and it's really a pain to verify file count.

Box Sign - Ability to send templates from All Files
The "Sign - Templates" section in Box used to send templates has a lack of folders and filtering which leads to no ability for us to organize or filter our templates. However the "All Files - (Saved templates folder)" already has the ability to create folders, organize templates and see templates (the blue icon). We would love to be able to send templates with the fields in the document (like in the sign - templates section) from the "All files" folder.

Ability to link the task function of MS Teams to the task function of Box
Request a function that can link the task function of Box and the task function of Teams of M365.
