  1. Do not send notifications to group members when inviting a group to Hubs, as is the case when inviting a group to a folder.

Currently, when you invite a group to Box Hubs, all group members receive a notification.
However, if there are many group members, if all group members receive the email, it may violate some rules of Exchange Online.
Therefore, I would like to see an improvement so that notifications are not sent to group members when inviting a group to Hubs, as is the case when inviting a group to a folder.

  2. Mirror/Duplicate Folder Settings When Making a New Folder

When I'm making a new folder, it would be great to have the option to automatically mirror or duplicate the settings and permissions from another folder.

  3. Generate list of user AI queries in Box Hubs

I'd like Box Hubs Owners to be able to view the list of AI queries that users make. This would allow them to curate the content to ensure it meets the needs of the users

  4. Export of / access to preview image file

I like to create image content descriptions (long text, captions, tags) using computer vision AI models and store the descriptions in Box metadata. Therefore i need to provide the image to an external service. The problem is, that the AI services available through e.g. Box Skills or most other 3rd party tools have a size limit of 20 MB per image. Most images i'm dealing with are much bigger. One option would be to convert these images prior to providing them to an external tool, but Box already has a smaller image which could be used for computer vision purposes…

  5. Symlinks in Box to Solve Core Content Organizational Problems.

Box needs symlink support to solve this fairly standard problem that likely happens in every company.

Let's say you manage a team, and you have a team folder and a team structure for how you like to organize and store your files. Inside of that folder are meeting notes, projects, architecture documents, demo recordings, Hiring/Interview Documents and more.

    The problem is, eventually the...

    • HR team grows and wants to standardize on everyone's interview documents, hiring panels, and more, so they tell you where to put these sorts of files.
    • Architecture team grows, and they now want all architecture-related files and…

  6. Box does not work on Microsoft Edge when Norton AntiTrack is enabled. Would be great to have a workaround for this.

Box does currently not function on Microsoft Edge when the Norton AntiTrack plugin/extension is enabled. Have to disable the plugin to be able to use Box. Would be great to have a workaround for this i.e. not have to disable Norton to have Box function on Edge.

  7. When setting up a BoxRelay workflow, I want to extract only users who have not approved and create approval tasks

    About BoxRelay workflow creation.
When set up with the following conditions
    Action: Assign task
Type of task to assign: Approval Task
Task Details (Person in Charge): Check “This task will be considered complete if one of the persons in charge executes the task.

We want to be able to extract only the users who did not approve the above settings and set them as the person in charge of approving the next approval task.

  8. Request Signature outcome should have Form Submitter variable

When creating a workflow like the one in the following article, the Request Signature outcome cannot use the form submitter as a signer

    https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/38351786879123-Generating-Documents-with-Box-Doc-Gen-and-Box-Relay

Some of our workflows start with a form, use Box Doc Gen to generate a document, which then needs to be signed by the original form submitter. While the Request Signature step can access form variables, it notably does not have access to the Form Submitter.

It would be great if this was exposed as a variable so that the sign request could have the submitter as a signer.

Our current workaround is to add a…

  10. User dropdown for Box Forms

In Box Forms it would be very convenient to have a User dropdown field.

Many of our workflows have a user fill out a form, which is then rendered into a document and sent for approval - and often, approvers are not static (e.g. their manager).

It would be very convenient if they could select another Box user with a similar experience to the collaboration dialog, or when you're adding to a Box Sign - a few characters from their name or email will show matching users. This field would then expose both the user's name and their email as…

  11. For the love of all that is holy. Please add the ability to pause and cancel specific offline items from syncing in the transfer window.

On a slower wifi connection users need a way to control syncing. The ability to pause, or even cancel offline file from syncing is essential. Dropbox has this functionality. Please catch up.

  12. Display more information in Upload Error message in Box Drive

It would be helpful to have more information shared in the Upload Error notification that’s displayed for admins when a user tries to upload content to a folder that has run out of storage. It would be helpful for the error message to display information such as account name, email, or login of the user. Currently, if an organization imposes storage quotas for their users, admins will receive this message anytime a user tries to upload content to a full folder. Having more information up front within the error message would save admins time in looking to find who the…

  13. Box Drive folders should automatically refresh when you open them.

When you open a folder in Box Drive, it should automatically refresh that folder. There's no scenario where you're opening a folder and you WANT an older version of it. If you're opening it, you intend to interact with it somehow, and in order to do so effectively you must have the most up to date version of its contents. Manually refreshing is tedious.

  15. Unify Time Zone Handling for Expiration Dates of File Requests and Shared Links

Currently, Box handles expiration dates differently depending on the feature: Shared Links use PST/PDT as the standard, while File Requests rely on the local time zone of the device used to create the link. As a result, even when the same expiration date is set, the actual expiration timing can differ between the two types of links.

Having different time zone behaviors across Box features lacks consistency in implementation and is not intuitive for users. We kindly request that the time zone handling be unified across features.

    【In Japanese】
    <タイトル>
    ファイルリクエストと共有リンクの有効期限におけるタイムゾーン仕様の統一を希望

    <本文>
    現在、Boxでは「共有リンク」はPST/PDT基準で有効期限が処理される一方、「ファイルリクエスト」はリンク作成時の端末のタイムゾーンに依存して処理されるため、同じ日付を設定してもリンクが無効になるタイミングが異なります。

    Box の機能間でタイムゾーンの動作が異なると、実装に一貫性がなくなり、ユーザーに混乱を原因となりますので、機能間でタイムゾーンの扱いを統一していただくようお願いいたします。

  16. I would like to request the implementation of a folder lock feature in the UI to prevent folder movement via drag-and-drop.

In BOX, when performing file and folder operations with an administrator account, unintended moves may occur due to drag-and-drop actions.

As a solution to this issue, I would like to request the implementation of a feature in the UI that allows folders to be locked at will, either through the folder's options or from the admin console.

For example, the folder's options could include the ability to lock/unlock individual folders, while the admin console could allow for bulk locking/unlocking of all folders or specific hierarchies.

It has been confirmed that folder locking functionality can be achieved with vendor-provided tools, so…

  17. Ability review the most recently uploaded documents in temporal order

Aside from that, my real feedback is that your data room doesn't have a feature to review the most recently uploaded documents in temporal order. This is a crucical feature to M&A lawyers, and a lot of your clients use Box for M&A deals. I would suggest that you look at DataSite and incorporate some of their features, because there are a lot of M&A lawyers who are forced to use your service (becuase you're who the bankers decided to use) and the experience is way worse than DataSite. Not trying to be overly critical but just trying to help…

  19. Request for Additional Output Items in the User Details Report

Could we enable the User Details report to include the user's registration date on Box? Specifically, we would like to propose adding a column titled "User Registration Date."

This information is necessary for user management.
Currently, we have to request this information from Box regularly.
If we could verify it directly in the report, it would eliminate the need for inquiries to you.

  20. Set admin thresholds for mass deletes or mass moves

We would like the ability for admins to set some limits on mass deletes or moves, possibly 2 levels, one that needs a two stage confirmation by the user when it is between X and Y and then sends an alert to the admins informing them of the action.

Then a second limit between Y and Z that informs the user that admin needs to approve and sends an approval request to the admins.

The alerts was something Dropbox did, but the approvals adds a new dimension to improve our ability to avoid unnecessary recovery.
