Folder tree reporting based on user permission
Cannot run a folder tree report out of the admin console due to size constraints. We wants to see folders, “where user is the owner or co-owner.”

Ability to be able to check if uploading was successful or not by managed users themselves.
Users can know the result of upload with pop-up on WebApp, but they have no way to confirm it if they leave for a while. Because the pop-up disappears in a few seconds.

Add Optional Security Notifications for Admins, Reports for Public Links, and Customize the Insights Dashboard
We'd like to be able to receive notifications when a user creates a shared like that is "public" or available to anyone externally. With recent security concerns, we're not able to easily see how many public links are being created. The reports time out and we have to reach out to Box Support every time we want that data. In addition to better abilities to report and customize reports as many people have mentioned, it would be nice to customize the Insights dashboard to see the pertinent data to our organization.

Bulk API support
It would be great if we have a bulk API option. I would like to pass in the list of entity ids(could be files, folders users etc) and get back the results. This will reduce the number of api calls we do to get all the information.
We try to manage client's storage accounts and the main problem is with rate limiting for a large clients.

25 votesThank you for the suggestion. This is an interesting idea but not one we currently have on the roadmap. In the mean time, you can apply techniques such as caching (i.e. fetch what you need once for a session and keep it in local storage) to reduce round-trips, and the use the ?fields query string parameter to request only the minimal set of fields you need, which can reduce API response times.

Opening PDF files using native PDF viewer
Clicking on a PDF should open the PDF in the default PDFviewer (e.g. Bluebeam) instead of previewing the file.

Custom Branding not displaying on mobile
Please include the same custom branding when viewing the mobile site that is displayed in the app and desktop browser. This would bring custom branding to be consistent throughout the BOX UI and lacking on the mobile version.

Preview in my locale, not US (date formatting)
When using the Excel preview and a date format that should respect my locale, Box uses US as default. US date format is the world's littlest used format, used only by the USA.
It should respect my chosen region from my preferences. But doesn't.3 votes -
automatic periodically delete
Current feature only delete on specific date/time. please add regular/recurring delete/trash feature. e.g: every 1 week delete certain folder. Every 1 month delete specific folder. Thanks.

Redtail
Redtail is one of the most prolific CRM systems for financial advisors. (Roughly 25% market share)
However there doesn't seem to be an integration with Box.

Amteck has some documents that should only be accessed through online so that users can co-author. They would like to prevent certain files from being opened through the desktop.

Training - User Essentials Class 3.1
Your self-paced 'User Essentials Class 3.1' does not set itself to 'Complete' when the class is finished. It never shows up as a completed class in one's transcript. At the end, there is a 'Next' button that, when clicked, does nothing. It does not advance anywhere, so the class never 'completes'. Please fix this.

tracking file activity by user
Is there a way to schedule the user activity report (so we didn't have to wait for it to run)? It took our IT team 30+ minutes to run this for a report from just two weeks.
Alternatively, are you able to improve your Microsoft Flow connector, so that we could be notified in Microsoft Teams whenever a file is previewed or downloaded; right now the connector that Box wrote for Microsoft Flow only supports the following triggers:
- When a file is created

Need Box for Android link on downloads page
Please add a link to "Box Android" (https://lmu.app.box.com/services/box_for_android) to the Box downloads page (https://www.box.com/resources/downloads).
That's a great resources page that I use to share all the main Box apps that my user community should be using, but it is missing a link to Box for Android.

"Start Collaborating" modal is too obtrusive for viewers
When I share Box Notes with clients, they see the "Start Collaborating" modal appear, then come back to me asking why should they need to register just to view documents. It's not obvious this modal can be closed out to continue viewing the doc. Instead of a modal, perhaps this can be a small topbar box. Otherwise, this issue comes up enough to make me consider going back to Google Docs for client communications.

Ability to review all external users permission levels
We would like the ability to review all external users permission levels. I was thinking of an interactive way to filter and search. For example: On the Users and Groups section open the list of External Users. It would be nice to see their assigned permissions here. Then be able to filter to show those who have editor rights, or search those who have email domain = sample.com. Then you could interactively edit.

We need the ability to restrict external users to a specific permission level or below. I’m proposing an enterprise setting like “Maximum access rights for external users.”

"You removed all applications from your Login Activity List" Email and no Box Documentation
After changing passwords users receive an email stating that "You removed all applications from your Login Activity List, The following [yyy] applications were removed from your Login Activity List:"
It would be very helpful if Box had a KB or documentation that we could share with Users around this email. The email is confusing to users and we receive many service desk requests asking for clarification from this email. Box, can you please create a KB please.
