Couldn't see full group name
When collaborating, if the group name is long,
the part that doesn't fit in the UI gets truncated.
Is it possible to improve the UI so that the entire group name is displayed?
This happens both when collaborating and when viewing the collaboration list.ーーーーーーーーーーー

Remove Filter option for Box Apps View
We have a use case where we want to restrict a view so that users can only see verified items in a view from a Box App. No matter how the App is shared, users are always able to change the underlying filters and see items that are not verified. It would be great if there was a setting in the view that turns off the ability for viewers to change the filters and only restrict to the visible filters. Image shows the filters we want them to be able to edit, the "All filters" is no required.

Box Extract needs to be limited to run against x number of pages, not all pages.
Box Extract needs to be limited to run against x number of pages, not all pages. Customers often want to just use box extract to load documents and skip the indexing. These documents can be large, 100 pages, 500 pages, etc, but the indexing information may be only on the first 3 pages that is required. This request is to incorporate a way to limit how many pages box extract runs against per folder, or per metadata set, per Extract Agent. The key is when I upload a 1000 page document, I don't want that to eat up 1000 AI…

Display by name, Alphabetical as a Default. Necessary for our business!
It is 100% Necessary for our file Storage and Sharing needs for files to show up alphabetically BY DEFAULT. We just transferred over from Dropbox, and this is really annoying and a waste of time to have to set viewing each time we log in, and when we share files to have to explain to customers how to set their display. Display by name alphabetical should not only be an option, but a Default. Please make this available immediately. Our business model and client sharing workflow success depends on this. Thank you for implementing right away

Collaborator Permission Levels: Editable, No Downloadable
From a security standpoint, I would like the ability to edit in the desktop app but not download.
Now, if you can edit it, you can also download it.

Share multiple files at once
Currently, you can only share one folder/file at a time. Not a smooth process.

Changing default columns view in File Explorer with Box Drive - Move or hide sync status
The recent 2.48.250 release has forced a new Sync column in File Explorer. This new column is fixed in position and can't be hidden. I, for one, don't care to have this column take us space in the Explorer as I have a smaller laptop screen.
When you select the column and hide in Explorer, it shows up at the next refresh back in the same position.
The integration with File Explorer should follow Windows 11 preferences and be adjustable just as OneDrive is.

Ability to Select the AI Processing Region
We would like to request the ability to select the region where AI processing is performed.
Some customers in Japan — especially in regulated industries — require that AI processing be executed within the Japan region as a prerequisite for using AI features.To drive broader AI adoption among financial institutions and other highly regulated customers, this capability is essential.

Request for Dynamic Session Timeout Control Based on SAML SessionNotOnOrAfter
We would like Box to reference the SessionNotOnOrAfter value in the SAML response and allow the session timeout to be set shorter than the tenant’s default value (and, if possible, longer as well).
Our intention is to have the IdP determine the security level based on factors such as device type and user type, and then shorten the session only when the risk is high, while allowing longer sessions when the risk is low, thereby enabling risk-based session management.

AI-Powered Confirmation Before Adding Collaborators/Sending Links
I’d like Box to add an AI-powered confirmation step when users invite collaborators to a file or folder or send shared links to other users. The AI would quickly scan the content, detect PII or sensitive information, understand the context, and check whether the invited collaborator seems appropriate (e.g., external domain, personal email, unrelated teammate). If something looks unusual, Box would display a confirmation prompt asking the user to verify the invitation. This would help prevent accidental oversharing and reduce security risks caused by human error, while still keeping the collaboration workflow smooth.

Add preset date ranges such as “Previous Month” when scheduling report generation
When scheduling report generation, it would be very helpful to have an option to select “Previous Month” (from the 1st to the last day of the previous month) as a preset date range.
It would also be useful to have additional preset options such as “Previous Year,” “Specific Month,” or “Specific Year” to easily configure commonly used reporting periods.2 votes -
Forced termination of suspicious outbound collaboration
We request implementation of a method for administrators to forcibly cancel invitations received by users under their management.
While outbound collaboration in Box is free and convenient, it is also highly dangerous.
It can be exploited by attackers seeking to misplace files or spread malicious files by sending invitations, or by employees planning to leave who receive invitations from their personal accounts to extract information.While inbound collaboration allows logging, outbound collaboration does not even permit this, leaving administrators virtually powerless.
Currently, administrators can only take the following two actions against these highly dangerous behaviors:

I would like the number of managed users to be displayed in real time.
Regarding counting managed users in Admin Console > Users & Groups, the current design has a delay of one or few hours before accurate number is reflected.
While we can use reports to see the exact number of users, it would be better to be able to see the number immediately after adding or removing users more intuitively.7 votes -

I am tagging all my documents for easy filing and searching. It would be great if
1) i could save tag searches for future use
2) be able to see a list of the tags i have created so I can edit, add, delete whatever tag(s) i want.1 vote -
ability to format number field in metadata display to show fixed number of decimal places and commas
Number fields uploaded as float with 2 decimal places do not display decimals if the digit is 0. Is there a way to format numbers to display as currency format #,###.##? Please add this feature especially useful for using in Box Apps.

Allow search feature on shared link folders
Allow search feature on shared link folders. Search feature should be everywhere whether they are collaborated folders or guest shared link folders.
Currently they are not available on shared link folders which makes it difficult for users to search for a specific file within a folder. (E.g. 500 image files in a folder and user has to download whole folder to search for a specific image file)

Box AI support for all spreadsheet tabs
Currently, Box AI only reads the first sheet of an Excel file. We would appreciate it if this could be expanded to cover the entire workbook (all tabs).

Bulk Metadata View for File Request Files
We’re using a File Request form with a metadata template that collects applicant and writer info. That metadata is used for renaming applications and triggering other Relay steps.
What’s missing is a way to see all that metadata at once. Something like a folder-level view or export that shows a list of the metadata values ie(ApplicantName, ApplicantEmail, WriterName, WriterEmail). Right now the only option is opening the metadata tab on each file one by one, which doesn’t scale when there are a lot of submissions.
A simple list or export of all metadata in a folder would make managing these…
