Enhance File/folder restoration process
File/folder restoration on Box is a slow and clumsy process. When my end users move/delete large folders by accident and try to restore them, it takes HOURS for it to restore and to my end users, it looks like nothing is happening until the process is complete. This large window of time where nothing seems to be happening further frustrates my end users and they make more changes during the restoration process further making a mess and I have to end up opening a ticket with support to clean up the mess. Making Box Notes specific to Folders
I use Box Notes as a running shared agenda with clients, however, it's difficult to switch between client's notes since they only allow for one default location to save notes. I try to save them directly in the folder the client is working out of.
Could there be multiple save locations for notes for a specific folder? Or a way to assign it once created?

How to preserve folder date created & timestamps
Please please please preserve the date created for a folder. When I sync a folder across another laptop, the date created changes as the time of upload. Me, including a hundred other people do not want that. Files seem to have their date created, date modified date & timestamps preserved.
Basically, can you please create a system where the folder properties ARE preserved and as a facet of BOX make other properties separate from windows folder properties so that it's easier for us as local users and business users to sort their data how they want to.

Please make the login form as one step
Now the login form have two steps - at first step I need to fill login, then press "Next" button (for what?), fill my password, press "Log in".
This type of login form brings problems with auto-filling credentials by most of browser plugins.
Please remove the surplus useless step with pressing "Next" in login form, to allow fill login and password in one page, using "Tab" button (or auto-fill plugin), like in most of other websites.

Boolean search should generate results as part of type ahead query
Boolean search should generate results as part of type ahead query. Today, we can search for "text AND text2", but it will not generate results until the user submits the full query. This would improve usability.

It would be great if we can view all notifications in one webpage the same as you can do with tasks instead of just a drop down window.

Extension of the "Auto-Delete" Period
The BOX "auto delete" function for folders must accept a period of 100 years. It is currently limited to 85 years and I need to keep some HR files for a period of 100 years by definition of control and security. I request the extension of the term from 85 years to 100 years.

Allow multi-file downloads greater than 20GB by streaming as gzipped tar
Downloading multiple files via the Box web interface is currently limited to a total file size of 20GB. I assume this is due to needing server-size storage to create a temporary zip file for the download. If, instead, there were an option to download the selected files in gzipped tar format, there would be no-need for additional server-side storage (because both tar and gzip are streaming formats) and there would be no need to cap the download size.

Report or visibility into folders set up to receive emails and upload files to Box
It would be super helpful to know as an Admin any folders that are set up to accept emails and upload files to box folders. There is no report or visibility in this. As cyber attacks increase, we need to verify and make sure we know all of our external facing components - not knowing what folders has this component is a concern we have.

Ability to adjust document autosave sensitivity (if not, it makes version history obsolete )
Recently noticed our company document autosaves are soaking up all of our version histories. Box Drive is reading every time a document is edited and autosaved as a new version. Even if you are actively editing the document it still is reading all autosaves the document itself is doing. For Mac Office, this occurs about every minute and there's no way to adjust it. I remember Box Drive being able to know if the document was edited or not upon close or save. This allowed for our version history to go back several months instead of several hours. Very bad…

Disable instructional popups via Admin Console
Finding in the new UI that there are a lot more instructional popup messages going over the basic features of Box web app.
We provide our own training internally and there are certain popup messages that conflict with how our users would utilize our Box instance (e.g. we use our own in-house tool for managing Box collaborations via Box API ... and the File Request / Shared Link popup message contradicts our process).

For the purpose of strictly protecting confidential information, we want to make it impossible to change from strict to loose permissions, even for users who have the authority to change classification labels. However, with the current Shield function, it is not possible to set the priority of changeability.

Turn off notifications for the owner of the account on specific tasks not pertaining to this individual. The account owner is receiving notifications for everyone else's tasks and assignments.

Add the ability for previewer/uploader, viewer, and previewer to preview video files that contain watermarks.
Currently, due to the specifications in the following article, previewer/uploader, viewer, and previewer cannot preview watermark enabled video files from Box.
Box Notes, video, audio, flash, .msi, .exe, .zip, and 3D files do not support watermarking. Enabling this feature prevents previewer uploaders, viewers and previewers from viewing these file types.

allow user to set view-only mode
Allow me to read a box document or folder in read-only mode. If I accidentally touch or slip with the mouse - I modify the folder/document. "UNDO" will only do a little bit - but in this case I KNOW I am only browsing a folder that I will be contributing to. It's a bit of a downer to see a document marked as modified today (last modification was a year ago by the document creator) because I missed the CTRL button and typed a "c" into the text. Inserting metadata tags for subject line and message fields within Relay
Within Relay, being able to dynamically populate the metadata fields within the email notifications.
An example use case is for lease renewal. We have a metadata template for the leases. One of the metadata fields is property name. One of the steps in the workflow would be to assign a task to execute the lease renewal for a specific property which is triggered by lease renewal date. Please allow me to use Box Drive to backup files to the cloud (not sync them). Allow me to designate folders where I add files that are (a) added to the cloud and (b) removed from local storage. Allow me to choose when the removal happens (e.g. every night at midnight).

Setting up Box Edit to open in multiple applications
Currently, when editing a file in Box Edit, there is only one application based on the extension that can be opened on the desktop.
If you want to change the program selected by Box Edit, you need to change the registry value (HKEYCLASSESROOT\SystemFileAssociations).
