Request "yml" for preview
"yml" is not supported as text preview while "yaml" is available. It is major extension as YAML file and supporting it will help BOX usability. Hoping quiet soon implementation.

Bulk Move Items that are not Updated for a Certain Period of Time
We would like to request for a function that automatically moves items which the last updated date is earlier than a certain period.
For example, if there are items that includes personal data, and those items are not updated for a long time, Box automatically moves those items to a different folder, where access is limited to admins only.

Export input metadata from file upload forms
It would be nice to be able to export a CSV of input metadata during a file upload request.
For example, if I create a metadata template and add those attributes as fields to my file upload form and the uploader inputs their name, email, and other requested details into those fields, I'd like to be able to export the data to a CSV for the folder they uploaded their files to and see columns for each field on the form (including attributes from the metadata template). Enhanced Box notifications in Microsoft Teams
A new feature has been released for receiving Box notifications in Microsoft Teams, but it is limited to a few notifications such as Mentioned Comments.
It would be very useful to extend this feature to receive notifications in Microsoft Teams when uploads or downloads are made in folders you are collaborating on, or when tasks are assigned in Box Relay.

Please implement the function to restore the contents in the trash to a folder other than the original folder location.
Please implement the function to restore the contents in the trash to a folder other than the original folder location.
Currently, when restoring files/folders from the trash, it will be restored to the same folder as before the deletion.
If we accidentally delete a large number of items that we plan to move, it will take a considerable amount of time to restore and then move, and the items in the move process (delete / move / copy) will be temporarily locked, which will hinder our business.

"Your Download is In Progress" pop-up confuses clients
When a client of ours who is not a Box user downloads a file, a pop-up which says "Your Download is In Progress" appears. The issue is that the pop-up looks like there are only three courses of action, “sign up”, “log in”, or “x” out. Many of our clients have not realized that there is a fourth option, which is just wait for the download. This has caused confusion time and time again across different clients at different times. When using "Collections", I want to change the order of them. It would be nice if the user could freely sort the collections. This makes the box easier to use.

Ability to set Default Collaboration Role to Viewer-Uploader
Please allow the ability to set Default Collaboration Role in admin console to Viewer-Uploader.
Currently the only options are Editor or Viewer. Editor is too much access as a default and Viewer is too limited. Please provide Viewer-Uploader as a third option or to replacement Editor role. Viewer-Uploader is a safer option as a default as it allows everything Editor role does except delete. Users are not being mindful when they share content and our support team spends time doing search and rescue. If Viewer-Uploader were the default, safer environment and Box will have better appeal.

Limit the use of specific metadata templates to specific folders and specific user-owned content.
When using metadata, it is important to gain the benefits of adding and managing metadata templates, but at present, anyone with authority can use any metadata template.

Support time based triggers in Relay. For example, 180 days after an item has been uploaded to a folder either delete the file or move it to another location.

File Request Timestamp
File request duplicate timestamps:
When we upload files with same file name via the file request link, time stamp will be automatically added to end of the file name in UTC+0000.
We would like a way to select the timezone used to add the timestamp (maybe the timezone abbreviation can be specified at the end of the file name timestamp for when other collaborators view it)

Update "Not Part of Company" Text to Look Like a Button
When you share a folder or document with a client who is not a part of your organization they receive an email, they then create a login, they are then sent to a page that says "Company uses your network username and password to login to Box. Continue to login to Box through your network." There is then a Continue button and then text that read "Not part of Company" All 66 of my clients have clicked on the button and not on the text because the text does not look click-able. Box Updates Daily Report
The idea is, instead of getting a flood of emails or notifications throughout the day to rather get a summary of everything that was changed in the day or "A Daily Report." This could also be a weekly report for users who do not want updates throughout the week flooding the email.
This makes it so all the notifications can still be received by each individual without causing issues of too many emails.

Need to be able to view group members before adding to a folder
Would be great to be able to see members of a group prior to adding them to a folder. At the moment, even those groups which are listed as being viewable by anyone in the company can't be viewed until AFTER they are added to a folder, unless someone is a group admin. It means that either someone has to contact an admin to be sure they have the right group, or they have to add the group and then check right away to make sure they added the right one.

Allow External Collaborators to Search Shared Content for Metadata
If an enterprise shares a folder to outside collaborators, and the content of this folder includes thousands of documents with assigned metadata templates, the external collaborator does not have the ability to filter search that shared content based on the metadata applied.

Box Drive path for InDesign linked files
Background:
We’ve moved the location of Box Drive to be outside the username location for our users. This allows for multiple users to work with InDesign , collaborate, and reference the correct asset links without issue. Reference – community.box.com/t5/Deploying-Managing-Box..Issue:
However, if a user hasn’t previously viewed the file in BOX Drive (e.g. ‘downloaded it to force a local sync’) then the linking of the file still breaks.
