Allow Pin Feature to files
Allow a Pin Feature to allow the user to fully customize filing. Make it possible to pin a file(s) in a folder so it will not move in a numerical or alphabetical order but in the order that works for your company or organization.

Add a Box eSign workflow as the final step of a Relay contract review workflow
On Box Relay, can Box Sign directly integrate with a contract review Relay workflow? The idea here is that they want to create a workflow that reminds legal that they have things needed to be reviewed? (I.E. legal is getting a ton of requests, some things are being forgotten)

allow opening of Recent Files in Microsoft app, not just the browser
In "Recent Files" clicking on the three horizontal dots/ellipsis/meatball menu allows you to open Microsoft files in the browser, but not in the app. It'd be nice if you could just open in the app from the Recent Files section. Thanks.

Automatically enable the Dev Console in a new Developer Sandbox
When creating a new Developer Sandbox at https://app.box.com/master/sandboxes, it would be helpful to see the "Dev Console" button at the bottom left of the Box dashboard when logging in as the Primary Admin of the sandbox. You can access the Dev Console by navigating directly to https://app.box.com/developers/console, or by clicking a button in the invitation email, but if that button is overlooked, it can be confusing to figure out how to navigate there.

Relay: Trigger from External shared folder
Would like the ability to create Box Relay workflows where the trigger is in an External folder. My specific use case is our bookkeeping partner provides us dozens of files per day across several processes, and they use Box on their end to manage that process. We'd like to have for the folders that they share with us the ability to create a Relay flow that would trigger when they add files to those folders (e.g. When a new file is added to External ABC, create a copy in Internal ABC and notify some users).
This would allow us to eliminate a work step on our partner's end of constantly sharing files with us, and remove a work step on our end of downloading those files from their portal.
Understanding there are some nuances here, especially since in this example my organization would not be an editor on the external folder, but for actions that don't require edit privileges (copy, notify, etc.) would think this is feasible.

Have a better way to show 'Full File Paths' for 'subfolders' in the web-app
Since people can be invited to folders that have the 'same name' it can be hard to identify in your 'All Files' view which folder is in which account.
Since you don't want to accidentally drop files in a folder that is shared with people outside your organization or vice-versa, it would be helpful to have a better way to identify which folder is from which account / directory structure.
For now the recommended guidance is to have the full file path of you directory structure in the sub folders so personnel can see which sub folders are from which higher level folder. Example is
Folder 1 at the top level is call "Folder A"
The Folder 2 below Folder 1 is named "Folder A - Folder B"This goes on all the way down so if you invite people to lower level folders they know what top level folder that was from. So if you have a Folder B in 2 accounts you have been invited to you know which account each folder is tied to.

Allow Users to 'Remove' all files from their BOX Drive as a right-click command
It would be nice, instead of logging out of BOX Drive on my personal computer to 'remove' all files on my personal device (so anything that was cached or downloaded). Instead of having to 'log out' of the BOX drive app.

Allow file locking when MS Office Coauthoring is enabled.
Prior to MS Office Coauthoring, I could lock a file in Box, with would allow me to edit it normally, but it would be read only for anyone else.
Since coauthoring, I can not open and edit files that I have locked. Support has let me know that this is just a limitation of coauthoring.
The workaround is to move the file to a folder where only I have editing access, but that would require moving the file around to different locations.
Would love the ability to temporarily lock files again. And if this isn't going to be (or can't be) fixed, shouldn't Box eliminate the "lock/unlock" option from Box Drive for users who have coauthoring enabled?

When I upload Excel to BoxSign, I want it to become PDF as per the print settings of Excel.
When I upload Excel to BoxSign, I want it to become PDF as per the print settings of Excel.
For Example, a file created in Excel with the print settings set to A4 becomes 2page PDF files when uploaded to BoxSign.
This can be avoided by converting the files to PDF before uploading them to BoxSign, but if all the files are converted and then uploaded, the man-hours and number of files increases, which raises concerns about operational efficiency and data management, so we would like to see improvements.
38 votes -
Alert notifications for large data set downloads and possibility of stopping large data sets being downloaded automatically.
Looking for better controls around alerts and protecting our data from potential bad internal actors. Ideally, controls around large data sets being downloaded locally to a machine. Can there be triggered alerts that will send an email about such a case or tools that will stop a user from downloading data sets larger than a specific threshold?

Show size of all files in a folder
When downloading, it would be useful to compare the total size of what has been downloaded to the total size of what is being downloaded. Files have sizes listed, not sure about folders, but a total of whatever is on the page, or what is selected would be useful.

Improve Move operation to offer choices when destination folder already has file of same name
Currently, if a number of files are selected to move to another location, if the destination location already has filename(s), Box simply advises that the moves for those files has 'Failed', and lists then 'already exists in the folder '....'
Box should instead, like other products, offer a pop-up window, indicating the filenames, locations, dates last modified, (and additionally, if any files are signed), with the option for user to select/unselect file(s) to overwrite or ignore. Filenames selected/ticked would then be moved, together with other files where no match was found.
To simply offer no choice, leaves the user knowing that the destination has version(s) of the files in source location, and on completion, has no indication of which files are possible duplicates

after upload, Apply classification based on the parent folder classification, not the parent,... parent folder
- if you apply classification to a folder A all subfolder will be classified : Good
- You can remove that classificaiton to a subfolder B of the folder A : good
- if you upload a file to folderB , that file will be classified same as the Folder A (the parent parent folder) : Bad
This doesn't really make sense and create a new layer of waterfall access right but based on the classification this time. Which create duplicate in other areas and make it really hard for our employee to use classification.
Note that this also applied to automatically generated files like Box sign files, so classification that do not allow externals to access this file will block the external to review after the signature is done.
Proposition : Just apply the classification of uploaded files based on the parent Folder only.

Allow HTML Tags in the text of "Send Notification" action in BoxRelay
Currently, the text entered in the subject and message fields of BoxRelay's "Send Notification" action is sent as is, but if HTML tags could be used, it would not only make it possible to use shared links in email notifications, such as "Please check [approved folder (hyperlink)]," but also expand the amount of information in notifications.
7 votes
