The ability to have an option to disable the auto folder creation of "Microsoft Teams Chat Files"
We would like to have an option to configure the folder creation of Box for Teams. For organizations that don't allow users to use Box as personal folder, Microsoft Teams Chat Files should be off and is controllable based on the needs.

Now it appears that recovery of files that were deleted in a shared Duke Box Toolkit folder can only be recovered by the individual that deleted the file (not the co-owner or admin without the assistance of the individual that performed the deletion). For critical files this is a security risk to just store the files on the Box Drive because it severely limits identifying and recovering deleted files. The individual that deletes the file could…

Allowing the ability to ignore ownership on certain files
We are trying to store Capture One Photoshoots on Box Drive so multiple people can access them and all adjustments are saved. There is the session file, RAW image files and various files storing the processing settings, thumbnails, etc.
I can copy a shoot to Box and work on it fine but if someone else tries to work on it, Box won't let the software overwrite the settings file and makes copies of everything with the 2nd persons email address on it. This is related to ownership of the files.
It would be great if we could turn that…

Drag and drop files on Box Drive
I can't drag and drop to move a file as easily as on google drive

Add "Dimensions" info under "File properties"
To be able to see the dimensions of an image is an extremely valuable feature for designers to review and "QC" all of the marketing assets without having to download all the files.
28 votesThank you for the suggestion. While we definitely understand the value of displaying dimensions for image files, this functionality is not currently planned on our near term roadmap. Please continue to add comments and suggestions here to help us prioritize in the future.

Allow DES files to be synced via Box Drive
We would like for DES files to be synced to Box cloud via Box Drive. They are currently being ignored in the same way PST files are ignored. Ideally, having the ability to enable/allow exclusions would be ideal.

Ability to re-arrange All Files page on Drive, including external folders, for organizational purposes.
We would like to be able to move non-owned and external folders around for organizational purposes on their private Drive, without impacting the actual external/owner of the folder. For example: Company X shared Folder A with me at Company Y. I would like to move Folder A to my Company X folder in Drive so it's not clogging my All Files page (without this impacting Company X's folder).

Warning when moving files into folders with different retention policies
Warn or prevent the user if they are moving a file from a folder with longer retention policy to a shorter retention policy that the longer retention will still hold

Admin Insight CAD Files

Bulk change link permissions for subfolders and files
As it stands if you create a folder with shared link permissions to be invited people only and then you add files and subfolders, if you change the permissions of the parent folder to change to anyone in your company, they don't propagate, nor do files added after inherit the parent folders permissions which were changed previously. It would be good if when making a change that you are prompted to allow waterfall permissions to subfolders and files or to not. The current specification allows printing from the file preview screen, but if you want to print multiple files, you have to open the preview screen one by one and press the print button, which is quite time-consuming and labor-intensive.
Therefore, when you select one or more folders or files (including BoxNotes), we would like the "Print button" to be displayed on the folder/file screen or by pressing "More Options."
Also, when a folder is selected, I would like to be able to print all the materials in the selected folder.現在の仕様ではファイルのプレビュー画面から印刷が可能となりますが、複数のファイルを印刷したい場合、1つ1つプレビュー画面を開いて印刷ボタンを押す必要があり、作業的にかなりの時間と手間がかかってしまいます。

I work for two company's. I want to be able to sync both company's files on my imac. Please make that a possibility.
I work for two company's. I want to be able to sync both company's files on my imac. Please make that a possibility. Currently, I can only sync one company per computer. We had spotty internet connection at one time, and I was unable to go online for access to the files for the company I don't have synced.

collaborate at "all files/root" level
It would be nice if you could add a collaborator at the "all files" or root level, so that they would have access to any future folders created. For example we have folders created for each year and now we have to make sure we remember to add collaborators to the next years folder when it gets created. Versus if we had collaboration at the root level they would automatically be included when the next years folder is created.

Unable to move Box files to new hard drive
I added a larger, secondary drive to my computer, and I'd like to move the Box Drive and off line files to this second drive. This is because the C-drive is 90% full while the new terabyte drive is almost empty. I need to free up space on the C-drive. I was told "customizing the Box Drive folder does not change where Box Drive stores its app data or cached files, including items marked for offline use, so customizing the folder will not save disk space if you relocate the folder to another drive".

Ability to preview previously cached files by using spacebar in mac finder
When navigating through files in Mac Finder, if you select a file and hit spacebar it will pop open a preview.
Since Box Sync supports this one would think if a file has been previously opened and cached locally by Box Drive, it would also be supported but it doesn't

I would like general users to be able to output a list of upload dates and times (in minutes) of uploaded files on Box Relay.

Terrible Resolution when previewing illustrator files
Box online opens illustrator files which is great ! however they are terribly pixelated and are not usable for reading anything on the actual preview. for more info, images and screen recordings see case id 3364388
