1.25 times speed for videos
1.25 times speed would be great. I just think that 1.5 is too fast when I am learning new material.

Bring back pagination
Please bring back pagination! I work with thousands of files and continuous scrolling makes it much harder to search for the last file I was working on. Pagination allows me to view a certain number of files on a page which helps so much when working with thousands of files of data.

Help
Hi. It would be great to have photo or video links for the help/how to sections. Some of the wording (at least as a Mac user)doesn't match up with how I normally navigate Mac. Would help avoid having to contact help chat. Thanks!

Where'd the rollover filenames on web go?
Am I crazy or did I used to be able to see the full file name when I rolled over and held the cursor over a file link? I no longer see tool tips of the whole filename.
Long filenames get truncated visually unless your web browser is wide enough to show them. The only way to see the full filename now is to click the rename pencil and view it there.
This is really inconvenient. Can we have our tooltip filenames back, please???

Retain modified_by field on GET calls on content for deleted users
Right now, when using the API to make GET calls on content, the 'modifiedby' field will be NULL if the user that made the modification is deleted. For reporting purposes, it would be ideal if this information is retained. The 'createdby' field is retained, so it seems strange that modified_by results in a NULL result

version tracking between multiple files
It often happens that multiple files relate to the same product and therefore need to have the same version tracking. In this case if a version is created by mistake (the version number is incremented on a file) this can offset the version tracking between all the files related to the same product. Some solutions include:
1 - Give more flexibility around version numbering (be able to do a hard reset of the version number - i.e. reset version number from number 30 to number 25 and delete all versions in-between)
2 - Allow version tracking between multiple files - i.e. have a single version numbering system for multiple files and the version number is only incremented if all the files have been modified. It often happens that multiple files relate to the same product and therefore need to have the same version tracking. Open app in one click
preview adds no value just adds clicks, tabs, and frustration. Either a button to open in a preselected app or just an option to do it on a double click

file upload api
Please remove the "/" after 'content' in the "File Upload" API URL from the official documentation. When triggered from Postman, the current API generates HTTP Error 400.

Folder Setting Limitations - Box Drive
We have folders for each office where they store their active and archived (old) jobs. These folders can can contain many hundreds of job folders (sub folders to the parent folder) representing hundreds of GB and even over TB in some cases of data. It is way too easy for users to simply check ‘mark for offline’ in Box drive or attempt to sync the folder in Box Sync.
When that happens we have custody of data issue for a ton of files. Further it allows people to easily steal data in bulk. Just in the past week we have had two users “accidentally” mark for offline over 150 GB and often times it just fills their local drive and everything stops working. Having people be ‘viewers’ of these folders is not an option as they are working on the jobs. This happens a lot in our organization, so I’m sure other customers experience this as well.
Box should have a Folder Setting that has some control of this. Maybe something like:
Download via webapp (Allow - yes/no; apply to subfolders- yes/no)
Box Drive MFO (Allow - yes/no; apply to subfolders- yes/no)
Box Sync - Allow Sync (Allow - yes/no; apply to subfolders- yes/no)We have folders for each office where they store their active and archived (old) jobs. Mobile app for admin console
Please create a standalone app for admins to use to access admin console on mobile.
I'm a little shocked that this is sorely missing.

Task assigned to everyone in the folder
We really would like to have the option to be able to assign the task to all members of a folder at once.
Maybe with one tick in a box saying ASSIGN TO ALL in this folder.2 votes -
Can we get another pop-up screen when Deleting a Shield Access policy to make sure that is the action the admin wants to take?
The 'Delete' and the 'Edit' button are right next to each other on the Shield Access Policy page. When clicking 'Delete' the policy automatically deletes. It is easy to accidentally click instead of 'Edit'. Can we get a second window that asks if that is the action the Admin/ Co-Admin wants to take on the policy?

Box Sheild can use some help
It would be great if there was a way to be able to enter notes on an incident. Also to flag an incident as complete and have it removed from the list.

Device Trust Whitelisting
Provide ability to whitelist devices while Device Trust is enabled. We would like to enable Device Trust requiring both Domain and Certificate. But we also have lab hosts that are not domain members or have issued certificates. We would like to be able to allow hosts not meeting the Device Trust settings to login.

Comparing Saved Versions
Box automatically saves versions of documents, but no one in my company can use this feature because there's no way to compare versions of these document (i.e. run redlines).
Example: If I share a Word document with a client and they make revisions, I can see a new version was saved but I have no idea what they changed.
The automatic version saving is an OK tool if I'm the only one using the document, but it's not effective for multiple drafters.

Better workflows for organizing content
A colleague of mine works in an a department we'll call "DepartmentX" in a larger organization. Within other departments in the org they create a "DepartmentX" folder and share that to my colleage's box account.
My colleague now has several "DepartmentX" folders and cannot at a glance see where they are from.
In the initial view in Box and even on BoxDrive the "root" is polluted with other people's stuff and it is not possible to organize that into sub folders that are meaningful.
If a user tries to drag a shared-folder into a folder they created Box attempts to copy the folder with a warning about changing permissions. What was expected to happen is that rather than appearing at the top level of the account (all files) that user-organize folders would appear and the shared folder would be in a sub-folder and continue to be a reference to wherever it is actually hosted.
You might need to create the notion of a sharedAt folder as part of the shared-folder's data structure that says not only that it is shared to user X but that it is shared in a folder/collection within that user's box.
The model right now is to treat the initial view like the Operating system desktop and making everything created or that other people create appear in the same space and with the possibility of having the same name.
Whether a sharedAt solution is the right approach there needs to be a way of viewing what a user has access to that has some degree of organization, where shared content may be organized by who shared it to the user:
MyBox
MyContent
User/OrganizationX
DepartmentX (shared folder)
Shared file.docx
SomeFile.txt
UserY
DepartmentX (shared folder)
README.txt
UserZ
DepartmentX (shared folder)
Stuff.zipThe above structure is meant to show that if organized by who shared the data multiple folders with the same name are no longer an issue. This is especially important in an enterprise scenario.
You can do the single catch all folder if you provide for different views and who shared what is but one.
Since you already support tags, you could have a view that shows content grouped into tag-folders.
So the two views identified here are:
Sharing View
select all files owned by user as MyFiles union select all files shared to user group by ownerTagged Content View
with tags as (select disticnt tags from files where owner is user or file file is shared to owner x) Select all files where tag in tags group by tagI know it won't be that trivial database wise, but conceptually the point of tags is for being able to find content and a sharing view.
You could also do more of Apple's notion of "Smart Folders" where the folder is a "view" in the database sense that it is named search criteria that can be treated like a read-only folder. I think this is in part what others are calling collections, but if the search tech were expanded to allow results to be grouped into folders (at least in the display) by some property like owner or tag, then having the ability to name the search and save that as a view-folder would mean users could create criteri- based collections and have more meaningful ways to explore their content. BoxDrive could list the views much like FileExplorer has a "QuickAccess" section

Customize group admin access, Just to handle folder addition
Currently, Group admins have more privileges over on box groups, In our environment, we have 0 group admins for all the groups we manage.
Trying to see if we can have more customization on the roles been defined for a group admin.
A role where they can just manage content access will really help us bring down admin control on group access.
