1. Request to suppress collaborator invitation emails.

   When needing to invite a single user into multiple files and subfolders within a given folder, but not into all files in that specific folder, we'd like to see a way to suppress the email notifications that are automatically sent to that user each time the collaborator invitation is sent.

   Currently there is no way to choose to not have the email notifications go out and then it inundates the user's inbox.

2. Request for Early Improvement of Upload Speed for Large Files in BoxZones Environment (excluding the United States).

   While improvements have been made in the past regarding upload speed in the NonZones environment, these improvements have not yet been implemented in the Zones　environment.

   There is no significant difference for small to medium-sized files, but there is a noticeable difference for large files of 1GB or more, with a roughly threefold gap observed in multiple upload speed measurements.

   As employees regularly upload large-sized drawings, photos, videos, and other data in their daily tasks, this disparity leads to missed opportunities and decreased productivity.

   Particularly, when transitioning from the NonZones environment to the Zones environment, it results in a deteriorated user experience.

   Therefore, we strongly request an early improvement in upload speed for large files in the BoxZones environment.

3. Email Notification for moved folders incorrect

   We are seeing situation where a email message is generated indicating a folder has been deleted when a collaborator moves it out of the Owner's folder. The email contains a link to the owner's trash folder that results in an error message if you try to follow it.

   Here is the setup.
   User A - Creates a folder that contains sub-folders and files.
   User A - Invites User B as an Editor on the root folder.
   User B - Moves one of the sub-folder in the shared folder to another location in their own Box account.
   User A - Receives and email Subject: "The folder 'sub-folder name' has been deleted from Box..." with a link to View Trash.

   The message is misleading. The file hasn't been deleted and does not appear in User A's trash. The link to the Trash also doesn't work.

4. Ability to check when user's password will be expired on their end

   Currently users have no way to know when user's password will be expired on their end.
   And then, Box doesn't send any notification to users in advance, so it likely lead to expire user's password.

7. Regarding the file display when changing the BoxNotes URL from "note" to "file" BoxNotesのURLを"note"から"file"にした際のファイル表示について

   After sharing a Box Note, we want to set the shared URL to "file" instead of "note" to prevent editors from unintentionally modifying the content.
   However, the "file" view breaks the layout (the width becomes narrow), so currently, it cannot be used for sharing purposes.

   We request the ability to either select the display method after changing to "file" or to be able to expand it to full-width display.

   Our company uses Box Notes as a medium for sharing TIPS company-wide, but distributing the Box Note URL as "note" results in unintentional edits.
   Therefore, we request an improvement to the display state of the read-only function in Box Notes.

8. Google Workspace Add-on - Remove Collaborators

   When a customer uses the Google Workspace Add-on (either clicking the Box icon in Google Drive to move a Google document to Box OR using the Gmail integration) and that document has Collaborators who were added in Google, then Box will emails all those Collaborators invites to the new Box folder. Multiple customers have complained about this.

   For my customer, Coursera, their main content storage solution is Google. Only the Legal Team uses Box for retention. When the Legal Team moves a file from GDrive to Box, it then sends Collaboration requests to all Google Collaborators on the file (many of whom don't have Box accounts). They moved a file over to Box on Monday, 50 people were alerted to join Box and our customer was really embarrassed. Plus their IT team assumed that our customer's email was hacked.

   Customer is requesting that they have the ability to turn off the Google Collaborators and simply copy the file to Box.

   When a customer uses the Google Workspace Add-on (either clicking the Box icon in Google Drive to move a Google document to Box OR using the Gmail integration) and that document has Collaborators who were added in Google, then Box will emails all those Collaborators invites to the new Box folder. 9. Canvas feature improvements

   After trying Canvas it looks like in order to get more use out of this compared to other open white board on the market it really does need allow more flexibility and improvements such as:

   1. Ability to allow GIF's for presentations.
   2. Allow links/ bookmark to files within box within a text box.
   3. Allow preview box of a video or crop a video within box to show a snippet of the video for presentation.
   4. Allow a preview link/ bookmark to Audio file to play.
   5. Currently drawn notes or shapes only allow corners to expand, it would help to add in side anchor points to adjust size on the edges as well.
   6. Allow links from anything made within canvas to link/ bookmark to any box file type.
   7. Have notifications notify all users added to the Canvas or invited to let them know if a user is updating the Canvas.
   8. Improve the bottom left overview map to be able to click on the zone to jump to that location.
   9. Ability to save your own templates and access them in the templates button and reuse them for future use.
   10. Allow a user name/ time/ date stamp to add to each object added by a user so other users know who added the object and when.
   11. Allow comment box or note box to be added to each object within canvas OR provide a link to that object within the comments pane on the right hand side for users to be able to link what they have done.
   12. Add in animations for more flare and general interesting improvements to the look of the canvas. Example : animated note outlines/ animated flow arrows linking objects
   13. Ability to add and create basic tables with links/ bookmarks within them from the text.
   14. Ability to add in zoom in animation for presentations to move seamlessly to each zone specified or specific object.
   15. Ability to produce presentations with an active popup/ media pane that has a back/ forward/ play function.
   16. Ability to select multiple objects and group them together
   17. Ability to link text box or whole group to a box task
   18. Ability to import links to other features Example: Box note/ word/ google docs... etc etc
   19. Add a 'Help' popup window that shows a list of shortcuts that the user can use. Right now after testing it a little i know i can use on a mac: Copy, paste, duplicate. I am unsure what else i can do.

   I really appreciate the idea of having Canvas for box.com this is a great addition so i really hope features like these get added in as you see these features in allot of whiteboards online. Thank you for Canvas so far its a nice addition i look forward to seeing what comes next.

10. UPGRADE PLAN: chat box needed when paying out, in case of questions or problem

    chat box needed at upgrade for any inquiries. i was going to upgrade storage from free to starter plan at the special offer of $5 though underneath in italics noted $180 billed annual which does not sum up. Amounts are deterring and confusing. Any help is appreciated.

11. Ability to manage all notifications settings at the user level

    Our team would love to only receive Box notifications via Teams.

    Currently, you cannot turn off some notifications to go to your email, like when someone tags you in a comment.

    We would like the ability to disable this manually. Some users would like to have both options.

12. Comments / Tasks from Desktop (Box Drive)

    In order to currently leave a comment on a file we have to right click on it, click on view on Box drive, which opens chrome, loads the file, then click on the comment icon on the right and then leave our comment

    A quicker and much simpler way of doing this would be to bring in comments and tasks into the box drive app to save us all of those steps of having to do this through our browser. There are a couple ways of doing this

    1) Bring in notifications, tasks and a comment stream into the system tray app. We have that nice search feature now which is amazing so it shouldn't be too hard to add a new tab there for tasks/comments and notifications like we have on the website. Show us a number somewhere to inform how many outstanding tasks, new/unread comments, new file uploads and/or mentions there are that need our attention. From there we could read and reply straight from the system tray

    2) Have a small indicator or number on the file icon itself in windows file explorer that let's us know how many comments/tasks are on that file and if there are any new ones.. We could right click on the right, go to the box context menu into a comments/tasks section that would bring up the discussions on that file. From there, in a popup menu or perhaps it just triggers the same system tray window discussed in the above point, we could read, reply or complete our tasks

13. Add text notification that "Create Password" link will expire in 48 hours.

    It is not uncommon to let an email sit for a few days or come back to it.

    We are suggesting adding a comment on under that link notifying users that they should set that password now, since it'll expire.

    This could drive quicker action with all users and less work on Admins who need to resend.

14. Box Updates Daily Report

    The idea is, instead of getting a flood of emails or notifications throughout the day to rather get a summary of everything that was changed in the day or "A Daily Report." This could also be a weekly report for users who do not want updates throughout the week flooding the email.

    This makes it so all the notifications can still be received by each individual without causing issues of too many emails.

    To see, at a glance inside the Box.com web interface inspector, the file size allocated to each parent folder and should I click in, each sibling folder. Right now, the interface only gives the number of files, which is deeply unhelpful when trying to assess what folders are taking up how much storage...

16. Request for improvement of mobile app features

    I would like to request improvements to the following features of the mobile app:

    1.Regarding the ‘biometric authentication’ when the security option ‘Require passcode’ is enabled, biometric authentication cannot be used on Android tablets equipped with facial recognition. I would like it to be modified so that it can be used.

    2.Regarding the selection of passcode timeout time, there is an ‘immediate’ option on iOS, but not on Android. I would like it to be modified so that ‘immediate’ can be selected on Android as well.

17. Add tag support for OSX files in Box Drive

    File color labels (tags) in OSX do not work on Box Drive.

    Competing cloud storage platforms (like Dropbox) easily handle this.

    In a MacOS team production workflow, tags are essential for production processes. Labels allow effortless communication to other team members on the status of file production. This is an industry-standard way of working which is totally broken in Box Drive.

    Please review the many MANY past requests for this feature in these forums. It is a long-standing issue that deserves attention!

    Hi,
    it would be nice if we received messages about out of office notes or e-mail errors (wrong address) for invitations and, for example, workflows. At the moment I don't know if someone just didn't respond or didn't receive the invitation / task.

20. Box CLI Email Notifications and Folder Settings

    We would like to enable upload notifications for select folders, on particular users or groups.

    Currently users need to go into each folder's settings to then check the box for upload notifications, or they can select upload notifications in their user settings.

    The first option is very time consuming, we have about 140 folders that we would like to target and it is hard to force employee's to complete this.
    The 2nd option removes the importance of notifications if users are being notified for everything.

    It would be great to have a bulk option to enable notifications or manage other folder settings for users.
    Would it be possible to use the Box CLI to target Folder IDs, User/Group IDs, then have the various folder options to flag or unflag. This would be a huge time saver.
