1. Allow users to know whether a file has been updated via Box Drive.

   Add notifications on file updates within Box Drive. If a file is currently updated, we need to view notifications in the web browser as Box Drive does not show this.

2. Real time alert if user accesses Box from a new location/device

   Currently we get a Daily Login Activity report. This is a daily report and most important piece of information on it is report of new logins with information like user, device, time, and IP address..

   Unfortunately this is daily and can only be on or off.

   Requesting the ability to enable real time notification instead of the daily.
   As it relates to security, immediate notification is critical for unauthorized access.

5. box sync ignore files

   Are you kindly considering adding a feature to skip / ignore certain paths (directories, files) stored on local machine from syncing? Some examples of situations where inability to exclude files from backup causes undesired issues: 1) There are programs which store temporary files among synced folders. These temporary files frequently change and are deleted on program exit, which results into frequent unnecessary synchronization and deletion of files in cloud, therefore waste of computing resources and bandwidth. 2) Specific program creates empty file "running" to indicate it's in running state. Box Sync does not sync empty file but warns user each time such program starts that it's unable to sync "running" file. In some cases I am getting multiple notification each hour. 3) Some games tend to store their data into "My Documents" folder. Those data do not need to be uploaded to cloud or to be accessible from other devices. Also, when the game is running, their frequent updates results into waste of computing power and bandwith again. 4) Some large files unable to be synced could be skipped, resulting into quicker sync time. Users should be able to choose what to sync and what not, and the possibility to exclude files or folders from syncing would greatly improve Box Sync experience!

7. Ability to Disable or Choose email Notification when Inviting Collaborators

   We would like to have the option to email or not email a collaborator when sharing a content in Box. Example use case is when cleaning up Box permissions (group vs individual) and the Admin needs to do that seamlessly without bombarding he whole organization with Box invites to files/folders hey already have access to. Specially required for Internal collaborators.
   Providing access permissions does not always require an invite given the way Box works, the internal user will simply see the content when they access their Box Drive or he portal.

8. Include a Disable Preview Option

   I've been using BOX for years and the only complaint is from my clients who download from my shared links. Almost 90% of users complain that they get the message
   "We're sorry, this file type is not currently supported."

   I understand from your viewpoint but from our viewpoint, we dont require such preview because our files are .zip, .rar, .7z, etc.

   So PLEASE enable some option where I can enable or disable the auto-preview.
   Remember, you guys are a cloud storage 1st solution. My clients should be able to download anything as simply as possible without getting confused about some auto preview not available or not supported.

   I just need them to download the file without getting ******.

9. Prevent the search window opened from the BoxDrive notification icon from closing automatically.（BoxDriveの通知アイコンから開く検索ウインドウが勝手に消えないようにする）

   When you click the BoxDrive notification icon, the search window that appears automatically hides when you click on search results or other windows. To check files one after another from the search results, you have to click the BoxDrive notification icon again to display it, which is cumbersome. I want to make this a pop-up window that does not hide until I click the close button.

10. If a managed user triggers IP CAPTCHA, send an email notification to the enterprise's admin.

    If a user triggers CAPTCHA on an IP address, it could potentially impact many users if our account is NATing our IPs to one external IP.

    Typically this is caused by an end user saving a bad set of credentials into some kind of client (FTP or WebDAV) that is constantly trying to reconnect.

    This request makes sense, but this is not something that is planned for the foreseeable future.

    I will keep monitoring similar cases and prioritize once this becomes a high value request.

    This feature is not currently planned for our roadmap in FY24.

12. Ability to control and mute email notifications that comes from tasks

    Whenever a task is assigned via an automation, that task is assigned by the main admin, who will also receive email notifications regarding the task.

    Because this is done through automations, the admin will get flooded with emails about the task, which is not desirable in a large organization.

    Tasks emails from Relay will now come from the person who created workflow, rather than the main company admin.

14. Ability to turn off optional message field on shared link email and add collaborator dialogs

    Many customers in regulated industries do NOT like the fact that some email notifications from Box have the ability to enter an optional message that will be included as part of the notification. Because this email bypass the customer email gateway they don't have visibility into what that message is. This feature is a compliance issue and should have the ability to turn it off.

    The Box Compliance Email Archive is not sufficient for some customers and that is why one way to solve this would be disabling the feature.

15. Mass enable notifications under Account Settings --> Sharing - General Email and Notification

    We want to encourage people to rely on messages in Box as well as via email if more appropriate. Currently, the default is that the email notifications are turned off. We would like to be able to choose to default ON with individuals deselecting if they prefer.

16. Box CLI Email Notifications and Folder Settings

    We would like to enable upload notifications for select folders, on particular users or groups.

    Currently users need to go into each folder's settings to then check the box for upload notifications, or they can select upload notifications in their user settings.

    The first option is very time consuming, we have about 140 folders that we would like to target and it is hard to force employee's to complete this.
    The 2nd option removes the importance of notifications if users are being notified for everything.

    It would be great to have a bulk option to enable notifications or manage other folder settings for users.
    Would it be possible to use the Box CLI to target Folder IDs, User/Group IDs, then have the various folder options to flag or unflag. This would be a huge time saver.

    When documents are issued via Box Sign signature links, the folders created during storage are named with dates only. We would like the ability to include document-identifying codes or keywords in folder names.

    Current behavior:

    File names are preserved, but folders are subsequently named with dates only
    When signature links are sent to multiple recipients, it becomes difficult to quickly identify which document belongs to which person
    Lack of clear organization makes document management challenging
    Proposed Enhancement
    Folder naming should include:

    Signature recipient's name
    Document-identifying keywords or codes
    Customizable naming conventions
    Business Impact
    This enhancement would significantly improve document organization and retrieval efficiency, especially when managing multiple signature requests simultaneously. It would reduce time spent searching for specific signed documents and improve overall workflow management.

    Use Case
    When sending signature requests to multiple people for the same or different documents, administrators need to quickly identify and locate specific signed documents without having to open each folder to determine its contents.

18. Security Report: Include Changes to Any Setting from Enterprise Settings

    Currently, the Security Report doesn't appear to capture quite a few settings changes that happen in Enterprise Settings in the Admin console, which is bad.

    For example, if an admin is wanting to know who changed the 'save files to device' setting on the Admin Console -> Enterprise Settings -> Mobile tab, there's no in-product way currently to identify that. Also,

    --All Notifications tab settings except for the Compliance Email Archive settings are missing
    --ALL settings from the Apps tab are missing, meaning there are no filters/logs exposed currently for any changes to make apps available/disabled, disabling all published apps, etc.

    REQUEST: The Security Report should contain entries for any settings change made on all tabs of Enterprise Settings (Custom Setup, Security, Content & Sharing, Notifications, User Settings, Apps, Mobile, App Use Management).

19. Sender info in Relay

    I would like you to add a setting for "who" went to the BoxRelay event.
    For example, when managing files for the same task in the same folder, if the person in charge (uploader) and the confirmer (notification recipient) are different for each file, it would be convenient to be able to set different notification recipients according to the uploader.

20. Folder event in Automate

    Please read the following on the assumption of a tenant where, under Enterprise settings, "Restrict invites" is checked and users with Editor permission cannot invite others.
    When trying to create a new workflow in Automate, folders where the user was invited as an Editor cannot be selected at all. For many flow triggers — such as file events, folder events, and sending file requests — folder selection is not possible.
    In the past, in cases where Relay was opened up to managed users (who are often invited as Editors), those users can create almost no workflows in Automate. This is because only a limited number of people, such as IT staff or Box administrators, hold Co-owner or higher permissions.
    For example, why can't a person who has Editor permission on a given folder create a simple workflow that sends a notification to the other managed users or to themselves when a new file is uploaded to that folder? It seems a bit too strict.
