Watermark is "too intrusive"
Coming from WatchDox, this watermark style is way too intrusive. It makes the file content hard to read. Ultimately, we'd like the ability to customize the style and content of the watermark.

This is technical not feasible. Microsoft has not enabled the APIs that we need to leverage on mac.

Account Settings - Home Page: Allow Co-Admins to Make Admin Console Their Home Page
Within the new UI, a new user-level setting was added to Account Settings that allows users to choose their default Home Page in Box - All Files, Favorites, or Recents.
Additionally, Primary Admins can choose to have the Admin Console as their homepage. However, Co-Admins do not see this option.
REQUEST: Allow Co-Admins to also choose the Admin Console as their Home Page

Allow Device Trust to be able to specify drives/disks to include or exclude for the 'full disk encryption' setting.
Currently, if the setting is enabled, it applies to all disks/drives instead of allowing the ability to pick and choose drives to include.
Our company has multiple drives, and one particular drive doesn't need to be encrypted on their end and isn't, but they aren't able to access Box because the 'full disk encryption' setting is enabled in Device Trust, and there's no way to exclude this particular disk.

While this is a very understandable request, most customers are using a third-party eDiscovery tool and therefore we’d like to focus on higher and broader impact features.

Merge Users - Ability to Merge 2 or More Accounts Into 1
A 'merge users' feature would help with the initial administrative burden of cleaning up existing accounts.
Key asks:
--The ability to choose 2 or more Managed Users in Box to merge
--The ability to choose which email becomes the primary email for the user (thus which account will become the owner of the other account's owned content)
--The ability to choose whether demoted emails should be retained as email aliases or simply removed from the user's (updated) profile
--The ability to choose whether existing collaborations on externally-owned folders are retained (meaning account 2 is invited into an external folder, when…25 votesWe are currently re-designing our managed users page for performance and usability updates which will be released at the end of this year. We will revisit newer features to user management after we release our new UI. In the meantime, please add your use cases in the comments so we can have this feedback when we decide to pick this up.

Unified/Global 'All Trash' View
In larger companies, Content Manager's organization of trash (by Owner) and searching through Usage Logs are both overly cumbersome when looking for a file that a user has 'lost' (aka that's been deleted).
To ease this pain, please build a unified/consolidated/global 'All Trash' view added somewhere in the Admin Console -- likely in Content Manager.
From that view, an admin would be able to see:
1. File/folder name
2. Date deleted
3. Owner
4. Deleted by (user)
5. Option to permanently delete or restore18 votesThis is not planned at this time.

Separate Move / Copy buttons
Please consider improving this within Amsterdam
There are a number of use cases that can be supported by separating the Move / Copy button into unique buttons:
1) Folder or file templates: Users with Viewer access (can download) should be able to COPY a file or folder elsewhere. Currently this is not supported -- the user must download, which loses BoxNotes and Bookmarks.
2) Separating "records" from reference material -- If Retention is set on a file, the user may want to copy a version elsewhere that is not subject to Retention

SSO Required to have exemptions for Admin(s)
This actually makes a lot of sense as we have it for Device Trust, but we would like SSO Required WHILST exempting an admin or two. If the IdP is down, no one can get in and this would create a catastrophic business impact.
15 votesThis is not currently prioritized. We will reconsider with additional use cases and demand.

Grid View - Ability to Show/Hide Item Names
By default, Grid View in the New UI shows information below the item preview (such as name, etc.).
REQUEST: Introduce a 'show/hide' option that would allow the user to switch between only showing the thumbnails vs. showing the thumbnails with the additional information (like name, etc.) to provide an enhanced grid view experience when in a folder with many image/video files.

Downloading Empty Folders
We noticed and it's confirmed with Box Support that the Box service treats "empty folders" inconsistently depending on which Box mechanism is used.
Empty folders are not created if we download folders via the Web interface. Empty folders are created via Box Sync. We are finding that this inconsistent behavior is creating confusion for our users and a mistrust in the Box service. Can you rectify the inconsistent behaviour?
15 votesThank you for this suggestion! This is a low priority because it’s a very narrow use case. Changing this functionality does not impact a large enough user base.

Granular permissions per user for sharing public links/classified documents
The administrator should be able to set the default classification for all new documents (e.g. For Official Use).
Each user should be able to set their own default classification (which will override the system setting (e.g. Classified).
Each user should be able to change the classification for any new or existing document where she has sufficient rights. For existing documents, she should also be able to select multiple documents, and then change the classification for all those documents in one go.
1 voteDefault classification label is not planned because it could be misleading to end users. However, to address the concern of content being leaked before it is classified, you can create an access policy applying to “All content without a classification label” in Box Shield.

Would like ability for posting/hosting HTML pages via Box
Our creative teams often need to show campaign materials & mock-ups via HTML rendering online. Would like for this to be supported by Box via Edit or an Render button.
Globally - we have approx. 40-50 users working ~7 campaigns per week - so this would be a high use, high value use case.
Teams use Adobe Creative Cloud to create html banners / sites. To render them, a series of documents (with links requiring subfolders) need to be viewed on a browser. When sharing with internal users without Adobe licenses or with external parties/customers, the files are zipped with…

Folder-Level Sync Controls: Restrict Managed Users from syncing a folder (even if they're an Editor / Co-Owner)
Be able to disable sync at the folder level regardless of co-owner or editor collaboration level. Users need to be added at these collaboration levels but they should not have the ability to sync certain folders to their machine (e.g., heavily collaborated content).
19 votesWe currently do not have this planned on our roadmap. Please keep the feedback & use cases coming to help us prioritize this in the future!
Box Shield may be a potential workaround for users interested in restricting syncing of specific content by classifying it. Though this will also prevent any downloads of the content as well.

Change Co-Admin Permission to Only Require 'View & Edit Policies'
Right now, in order for a co-admin to be able to view and edit Legal Hold policies (matters), they need a weird mix of unintuitive co-admin permissions (including 'view users content').
2 votesThank you for the suggestion! At the moment there is no plan for this feature. We may look into this in the future.

A Way to See Containing Folder From Search Results
We are searching for a file and there is no easy way to see the folders in which the resulting files are contained.
5 votesWe are not currently planning to implement this feature within search. Containing folder information will continue to be available through file previews and in the browse view.
