  4. Option to Show Full Folder Hierarchy when Added Only to Subfolder

    Right now, when collaborators are added to a folder, they are not able to see the folder hierarchy that is above the level at which they were added. This is great in many situations.

    However, there are various scenarios where customers would like users to have the 'full view' of the folder hierarchy above.

  5. Ability to create Box reports by API

    To import snapshot data (folders and files, collaborations etc.) to SIEM like Splunk, it's convenient that Box reports data can be created by API.

    Customers can utilize the existing events infrastructure to gather this data, so we do not have any plans to provide snapshots in fewer API calls in the short term.

  6. Messaging in the audio/video preview playback that says the file is down sampled.

    If a company is sending media content via shared links to their customers/clients, the end user will not intuitively know that the file is down sampled. The audio or video quality can be much worse in the Box preview than if you download it and listen to it there.

  7. Time code to be displayed in the HD video player

    QuickTime Player used to fill this need and was used in our internal media asset management applications, but Apple stopped supporting it and it has some serious security issues

  9. Add retry behavior if an edited file is unable to be uploaded

    Perhaps add a retry button/option in the error pop-up and let the user decide, or automatically retry actions depending on the error.

  10. Enhance Word Previews

    MS viewer in Box in iOS - specifically the Word viewer. It used to only show the top navigation bar when you long pressed the screen even on the first and last page.

    Now the nav bars do not go away on those 2 pages. For docs with very narrow margins at top and bottom and they are only 1 or 2 pages long.

  11. Support Embedded Audio/Video when Previewing PowerPoint (.ppt/.pptx) Files

    Presentations sometimes have embedded audio/video, and when viewing the file in Box Preview, these embedded media components do not render/play.

    This request is to allow this embedding to be rendered and exposed in Box Preview.

  15. Add the ability to add a subject line when emailing out shared links directly within Box

    Many of our most senior executives receive multiple shared links from the same user for different projects.

    Unfortunately as there is no subject line it's difficult for them to know which links they are clicking without having to open up the email and read the message if any.

  17. Add flexibility to edit an existing legal hold

    We would like to be able to adjust the date of the legal hold or be able to only extract a subset of content within the time period established.
