Relay:Enable/disable the "Invite assignees as Viewers/Editors" option
A new feature has been added to Relay called "Invite assignees as Virwers/Editors".
Perhaps, it is possible that, due to a mistake, users who should not be collaborating are automatically collaborated with.
However, in the current specification, the checkbox for this feature cannot be changed from enabled. We would like the checkbox to be able to be unchecked optionally.
誤操作により、本来権限を付与されるべきではないユーザーがコラボレートされてしまう可能性があるため、
チェックボックスのチェックを任意で外せるようにしてほしい。31 votesWe are conducting user feedback sessions to gather more information

Generate Shared Links as a Relay Outcome
Would like the ability to automate generating shared links on files within Box Relay as an outcome. One use case for this would be to create a process for generating external shared links. Many security-conscience customers don't want everyone to have the ability to shared content externally without some sort of approval or oversight. If we added generating and sharing shared links as an outcome in Relay we could build approval flows that would allow users to get approval to share a file externally even if they don't have the access do so.

Create Relay Tasks based on dates defined in metadata
We would like to create tasks based on dates that have been assigned to the document through metadata. For example a task would be created on September 20 if that date was specified in metadata. We have several scenarios where documents "expire" and we need to renew them. These dates are variable based on when the original document is loaded into Box.

We do not have this feature planned in short team and have this feature in the backlog for next year. We will consider this again next year and reach out for input and feedback.
Thanks,

Notification "new version" upload
Notify the folder group when a new version is uploaded.
Currently only when the first version is uploaded, a notification is sent. If version 2 is uploaded, the folder group does not get a notification.31 votesNot planned for current year.

Enable shared link expiration notifications for user that enabled the shared link
For a closed folder structure, where the primary admin owns all content, Box should give the ability to 1) disable shared link expiration notifications for folder owners and 2) enable them specifically for the users that created the shared link to begin with.
Even if the former will not be changed, the latter behavior would be important for a closed folder structure.

Collapse sidebar on right hand side (Activity / Details / Metadata) by default
Give users ability to decide at either account or folder settings level whether content opens up in full screen (i.e. marketing video etc) with the side bar on right hand side collapsed by default.
They can then click if they want to open the sidebar to check on Activity / Details / Metadata

Email Notification Frequency Options - Immediate, Daily Digest, Weekly, etc.
Box currently provides email notifications as options for end users to 'subscribe' to email notification alerts when content is uploaded, downloaded, previewed, deleted, or commented on. Box currently only provides one 'type' of email notification: instant (which includes automatic batching when events occur within a few minutes of each other).
REQUEST: Add the ability for users to choose the 'type' of email notification they'd like to enable at the folder level (via Folder Settings):
--Real-time emails (what we already have today)
--Daily digest (1 email per day)
--Additional weekly option (optional)31 votesThank you for the feedback, this is something we would like to do in the future, but don’t currently have a timeline planned for this.

Limit the amount of data a user can delete
There have been repeated incidents where users accidentally delete large amounts of data from Box Drive. Each time, administrators are required to restore the data.
However, administrators cannot restore the data until the deletion process is fully completed, and even then, the restoration takes as much time as the deletion, which disrupts business operations. We would like to set an upper limit on the amount of data that users (other than Box administrators and co-administrators) can delete at one time, in order to prevent users from accidentally deleting large amounts of data.

Hubs open documents in new tab
When opening a document in Box Hubs, the browser window is fully taken over by the document, and it's not currently possible to use standard browser actions like Ctrl+Click, middle mouse click, or right-click > "Open in New Tab." This limitation significantly hinders the ability to efficiently review multiple documents at once and makes side-by-side comparisons impossible. It would greatly improve productivity if Box Hubs allowed documents to be opened in new tabs. Please consider updating this feature.

Sheild > [Download and Print Restriction], if "For Box Desktop" is enabled, the Office co-editing function should be available via a browser
Sheild > [Download and Print Restriction], if "For Box Desktop" is enabled, the Office co-editing function should be available via a browser.
We have applied Box Shield's [Download and Print Restriction] to "For Box Desktop" and [Microsoft Office Coauthoring Basics] via browser is also disabled.
Microsoft Office Coauthoring Basics] via a browser is also disabled.
Similarly, Office co-editing functions that are opened via a browser should not be restricted, since access in BoxEdit is not restricted.
Errors in opening the file in the browser cause confusion for the user.
Also, please add the following explanation to the Access Policy Settings…30 votes -

Box Sign - Add Notary | eNotary
Add the ability to have a document notarized. The notary needs to be invited by a signer and should include standard notary fields. Please see equivalent feature in DocuSign for reference.
30 votesThank you for upvoting this request.
Currently Notary support is not planned for 2024, but it's being considered for 2025.
Please continue upvoting the request so that the product team can take into account your feedback.

Allow me to set default sorting to alphabetical anywhere
Please, pretty please — allow me to set default sort of folder contents to alphabetical within a folder, for any folder. Should be an option under Settings for the folder.
I have folders numbered for steps in a publication process, and I have to click "Name" every single *#$% time I display the folder list because it defaults to most recent. I may need to access any step in the process at any point in time; recent is USELESS to me. This is sooooo cognitively draining because I am touching dozens to 100s of files a day.
Note: this is…

File request - Allow only Manage Users from an EID to upload via File Request
In file request, have the ability to state that only a managed user in the EID or an external user that has been invited to the folder can upload, no one else. By doing this, it prevents a file request link from being randomly guessed or found on the internet AND prevents a random user from uploading bad or malware/virus infected content. The current state of requiring the user to login is too generic and doesn't meet the requirement of keeping the file request locked down. Using the collaboration role for upload is not what is needed. The File Request…

Folder colors
In Box it is not very easy to see what foders are shared externally. There are small globe icons on the collaborators, but if that list is too long, the external collaborator might not show up.
Apart from that: the list of collaborators is not visible in Box Drive.
Box should introduce a new Folder type (different color, different icon) to show that information in this folder is shared with external collaborators. This functionality should be available across all clients (Web, Drive, Mobile).
30 votesThank you for the suggestion. We currently do not have this planned on our roadmap.
Please keep the feedback & use cases coming to help us prioritize this in the future!

Don't point users to the EID's Primary Admin when users try to access a disabled app
Don't point users to the EID's Primary Admin when users try to access a disabled app. This is problematic for our larger customers as it prompts the user to reach out to an email address that may not be monitored or inundates the admin with what should be HelpDesk tickets.
