2. Allow Folder Actions on "the folder of the file that triggered the flow"

   When trying to build dynamic workflows, you currently can work with and get a handle on either:

   • Folders can triggered the flow
   • Files that triggered the flow
   • Folders/Files created/copied from previous stages

   There are workflows, however, where you have a trigger on the file(s) but you want to move that entire folder to progress the flow.

   A "the folder of the file that triggered the flow" handle would be helpful in this scenario to allow you start a workflow, either through a file action or a manual start...assign tasks to that file and then be able to get a handle on this file's parent folder to be able to perform folder actions on it (especially "move" folder). This way you can easily group files together and move them through the workflow....while at the same time set file actions on the original file that triggered the flow.

   When trying to build dynamic workflows, you currently can work with and get a handle on either:

   • Files that triggered the flow
   • Folders/Files created/copied from previous stages

3. Improve to view the status of tasks

   As users are currently able to view by icons whether or not shared link is on files and files are locked at a glance in the "file list" view, we would like to view if tasks are done or not at a glance

4. Set certain folders to default to searching only within that folder

   As an example, we have a Knowledgeable folder. When users go to that folder and search, I want to confine search to just that folder by default (most users won't want to tick the box).

5. Entering multiple accounts should auto-populate under in Assignee(s) field.

   For the Relay window, users should enter emails one at a time so that the assignee options populate. For collaboration window, if entering all emails at once works, pasted accounts will be auto-populated. So it should also work in the Relay window.

6. Remove Collaborator Access Policy Security Control in Shield

   When creating an access policy in Shield, there needs to be a security control that removes a collaborator after a specific period of time or on a specific date. It would work very similar to the "Invited Collaborators Expiration Settings" option that is available in the Admin Console under the Content and Sharing tab, but would be tied to a classification setting.

7. Candidate destinations are not displayed when inviting files to collaborate(Box for iOS)

   Box for iPhone/iPad and Box for EMM don't offer suggested recipients when you invite collaborators to a file.

   When inviting a collaboration to a folder, a list of possible recipients is displayed. Please do the same in the mentioned app.

8. new tab opens for link destination

   It would be nice to be shown link destination in a new tab or window (w/o right clicking function) when clicking on URLs/hyperlinks for comments, search results etc. on Box.
   Jumping to link destinations in the same windows makes me unhappy cause I have to re-open original site each time.

9. Opening the "Reports" menu, "Create Report" appears by default.

   When we open a "report" from the admin console, we will now see "Report Status" board.
   Before the "Report Status" board was created, "Report Create" was the first thing that was displayed.

   The main purpose of opening the "report" page is to create a report.
   The Report Status is a page to check when something happens, so it is not the main recognition.

   At the moment we have to click on the "Create Report" tab whenever we want to create a report.
   Next we will want to click on the Export button for any report.

   We hope to eliminate this first step.
   We would like to see an improvement so that when we open the 'Reports' menu from the admin console, it shows 'Create Report' by default.

10. Insights map uses wrong geoip database

    We have noticed that the map displayed on the insights page does not use the same information the report attached to the map does. On the map we see connections to countries that are not in the report.

    This massively reduces the value of the map and has raised multiple security alerts, as we see connections from countries on our "forbidden list" that we cannot explain with the report.

    Lack of correct information is removing trust in the overall solution in our security department. This should be fixed soon.

    I would like to be able to Move or Copy a group of files to multiple folders in one click. It seemed when you added the radio buttons, that might be possible to select multiple destinations. Alas no.

12. Ability for admins to see tenant wide API call trend insight dashboard in Admin or Dev Console

    Platform Activity report could be used to find out daily API calls for each and every single registered apps. But it requires Excel to summarize to grasp overall tenant-wide API call trends.

    Since this is hard for the admins to track if API calls exceed allowed number of calls or not, it would be ideal for admins to see tenant-wide API call trend insight dashboard from Admin or Dev Console.

13. Uploader Name in Metadata / extractable form

    Hey there, would love to have the ability to take the uploader name from the metadata, or something similar. Our workflows require files to be renamed for archive with that information, and having it in a metadata form would enable us to fully automate that process, rather than have it semi-automated as it is currently. 14. I want to restrict the installation of the desktop application by user

    Is it possible to add a feature to the management console that allows me to limit the installation of desktop applications (Box Drive, Box Note, etc.) per managed user?

    Once this is achieved, there will be more control over which desktop applications a corporate user can install.

15. File uploads are extremely slow.

    File uploads are extremely slow. For example, a group of 3 x 20Mb files might take an entire day to upload on a 5mb.s connection. This has happened in the past 3-4 weeks.
    I found the root cause of it. I am in New Zealand and redirected to the Tokyo server, which is very very slow. I verified that this upload path is an issue thus:
    Tried to upload a 20Mb file using browser (via Tokyo) - 2 hrs later the file was at 20% upload. Cancelled the upload.
    Connected a VPN onto Los Angeles. Uploaded the same file (and others). Uploads completed in less than a minute.
    This performance issue forces me to use a VPN each time I use Box to upload which is burdensome.

16. I want to lock an instance's value of a metadata template

    Given that a template has multi-select that has A, B and C as value. Currently, if a user has attached an Instance of a Template to a file, on that Instance, a multi-select field has the value of “B”. If the Template is updated so that multi-select option “B” is changed to “D”, then that change will also affect the value in the Instance (and all other Instances of the Template). Because the value of “B” no longer exists as a valid option on the Template, Box cannot keep that value in the Instance. Similarly, if the option “B” was removed from the Template, the value would be removed from the Instances. We would like to keep the already-populated value although the template changes.

17. All FQDNs should be published in a Json file

    The FQDN you are publishing is incomplete and Box Edit fails to upload the file when I configure FW based on this content.

19. permanently purge file version history

    Hello,

    We have a use case that we use box as a temporary storage location in a workflow. But once the workflow is finished, we would like to purge the information but "keep" the same boxfileid. We thought by deleting the version history, we would have achieved this. But it turns out the deleted version history is restorable.

    I am wondering if it is possible to
    (1) optionally make a file "not" able to store version history
    (2) or optionally permanently delete a version

20. Customize frequency of task email notifications

    Currently there are 3 emails when assigning a task.
    -First email is when the task is assigned
    -Second email is a reminder that the task is due (one day before)
    -Third email is a reminder that the task is past due (one day after)

    I'd like to have the ability in the admin console to customize the frequency of these notifications. For example, I would like to send a reminder twice before the task is due (two days and one day before). Additionally, once the task is past due, send a reminder email every X amount of days until the task is completed.
