  1. Automatic Box Canvas Creation Based on Instructions to Box AI

    Currently, Box Canvas provides templates, but users still need to create the content themselves each time, which can be burdensome.

    To further reduce user workload, I would like to request a feature that allows Box AI to automatically generate a Box Canvas output based on user instructions.

  2. Improvement of API performance and creation of guidelines for API usage

    When utilizing Box’s API, if the amount of content per folder is enormous or the number of invitations to a folder is high, the processing speed drops significantly. As a result, it takes a long time to complete operations, which is quite frustrating.

    We would like the API to deliver a more comfortable and speedy processing experience, so I hope you will improve the performance when using the API.

    Additionally, there are currently no guidelines regarding API performance, so we have no choice but to verify performance degradation through testing.

  5. Ability to rotate multi-page TIFF files in Box Preview

    For scanning use cases, Content is typically scanned into Box as a TIFF file that can have multiple pages. For review purposes, it would be great to have the ability to rotate individual apges of the TIFF file if they were scanned incorrectly. Otherwise, end users have to download the multi-page TIFF file to rotate files. For our use case, downloading files to local disk should be avoided because of the sensitivity of the files.

  6. IP address restriction setting in admin console

    We would like to be able to configure IP address restriction setting in admin console.
    It cannot be set up IP address restriction without a service request to product support.
    Therefore, any customer have to wait long time to set it and also is inconvenient.

  7. About recycle bin settings for Enterprise

    The Recycle Bin settings for Enterprise can be customized, but only users below the specified role can completely delete the contents in the Recycle Bin.

    All users (including automation and policies)
    None (content cannot be deleted by user or policy)
    Policy only (users cannot delete content)
    Admin only
    Administrators and co-admins only
    selected user

    Items that meet the retention policy are set to be permanently deleted.
    However, there may be cases where a managed user accidentally uploads unnecessary files to Box. At that time, the administrator would like to delete the subject item completely.

  9. Ability to make Excel scripts available in "Box for Microsoft Office coauthoring"

    Currently, due to OneDrive for Business requirements, scripts are not available when coauthoring is enabled in Box.

    In business, Excel scripting is a frequently used function.

  10. file request with BVE

    Currently we are using BVE and have a firewall setting to block the normal app.box.com.
    When our group/subsidiary companies try to upload a file through file request, since the link URL is https://upload.app.box.com, they cannot upload a file via file request.
    It would be great if we can make a file request link that is BVE so the URL is https://upload.ent.box.com.

  11. Box Shield Delete Restriction Security Control

    Adding an additional Shield security control to restrict the ability of Editors to send content to Trash would be a great way to fill the gap between Viewer Uploader and Editor permissions. One of the primary use cases for Viewer Uploader is the ability to collaborate on content without being able to delete that content but in its current state, Viewer Uploaders are also restricted from other important collaborative features like inviting collaborators.

  12. Configure ways to sign a document. Example: Disable typed signature

    Give admins or senders ability to disable sender from typing signature

    Amy Hudson - it is for a customer who is a CPA and he said that for what they do it can be an issue/requirement that for e signatures to be accepted it needs to be drawn not typed

    Denise DeLisser - I also have a customer (Shriners). They require drawn signatures for some of their consent forms and would love if we could enforce/require a specific signature type.

  13. Check the details of SSO for external collaborators

    We can require 2-FA for external collaborators, but for external collaborators using SSO, Box does not check for whether users pass multi-factor authentication.
Please add the ability what kind of authentications(ID/Pass, MFA, Device check, IP address limitation, etc) does external collaborators passed on SSO.

  15. Relay: Involve external Users to a manual workflow as "not-owner" of the folder/file

    Hi,

    i discribe a situation:
    The Admin is the owner of all folders/files, directors has co-owner-rights and all employees are editors. It is similarly discribed in "Folder Structure Best Practices" under "Business Unit Drive"
    Now we invite some external users... not only the owner can invite them.
    Then we create some relays for specific folder, especially some manual ones, assign a task and set the Assignee to "Specify at startup"...not only the owner can do this.
    Last but not least we start the manual workflow and choose as Assignee an external user... but wait...ONLY the owner of the folder (1…

    I found a problem with the current mail upload function, so I would like Box to improve it.

    There may be certain countries a Box customer may be prohibited from sharing with under any circumstance. I suggest making it possible to whitelist or blacklist entire countries by allowing Shield Lists of countries to be included in Access Policies.

    Please implement the search filter of "User who deleted" in the Trash.
    (This is not same as the filter of "Items I owned" or "Items I deleted".)
    Currently we can use owner filtering when searching for content in the Trash.
    For further convenience, we need the feature to use filtering even for users who have deleted content.

  20. Show file/metadata info from Photoshop image files

    Photographers submit their images to our Box account for use in our publications. The industry standard is for professional photographers to add metadata like the photo credit and caption to each photo using the "File Info" tool in Photoshop. Unfortunately, after doing so and then uploading the images to Box, the metadata added in Photoshop is not visible in Box's metadata section. Please consider exposing this info under "details" or "metadata."

    Extra credit: Allow us to edit that same metadata in Box. Doing so would allow the correct credit and caption info to flow into our InDesign layouts. Saving lots…

    While we recognize the importance of this feature, it is not something we plan to introduce in the near term. We will certainly keep this in mind for future roadmap inclusion and we will keep the status of this request updated to accurately reflect our current position.
