2. Customize Your Account's Branding | Menu Text Color

   Unfortunately you can not change the text color of the navigation/menu box on the left with "Customize Your Account's Branding".

   For example: our brand color is a dark green and box.com automatically determine the text color to a dark grey. It looks very dark and weird now, there is any contrast and it is not very reader friendly.

   The ideal thing here would be to make the text white, such as on the navigation/menu box from the admin console page, a dark gray background with white text.

   It would be very helpful to add another option in the "Customize Your Account's Branding" where the admin could choose or customize the text color themselves.

3. Provide an Endpoint to Manage Public/Private Key Pair

   To retire and generate a new JWT application's public/private key pair, manual intervention is needed by both the Developer Application owner and the Box Admin. It is very common to require periodic rotation of RSA keys and is often required by internal security standards.

4. Box Drive Bandwidth Usage - Can I pause or limit?

   "Every time my Box Drive is syncing large (200-500mb) files, it uses as much bandwidth as it can. While in the office, this was rarely an issue. But, working from home, the rest of my household notices very slow internet while I am syncing files. "

6. Ability to set an expiry date for external collaborators

   It would be very helpful to secure access to our files if we were able to set an expiry date when inviting external collaborators to a folder. It seems the only option is to share a link with an expiry date, but that leaves it open for the link to be sent to others and doesn't help if a collaborator needs wider access permissions, or just flag it up as a reminder in our Outlook calendars!

7. Make Shared Excel files only editable in Excel online, not downloadable.

   Create an access level for Word and Excel files that allows the user to edit them online, but not download them to /upload a new version of them from their computer. Basically, online edit only.

8. Embed Online Annotations in Word Documents as Comments, and vice versa

   There is a disparity between the online annotations and the actual Word Document when it is downloaded. I would really like to see a conversion/compatibility between Box.com online annotations and Word Document (.doc and .docx). If someone adds an annotation in the online preview of a Word Document, this should show up as a Comment in the Word Document when downloaded for offline viewing. Similarly, if someone adds a Comment in the Word Document (via MS Office application), this should show up as an annotation when viewing the preview in Box.com online.

   I do see a few other requests for annotations to be reply-able, other enhancements etc, and I agree with all of those. Google Docs already has all these features. Box has done a great job adding features, but is still much behind other products and needs to implement these features to remain a contender in the cloud document sharing arena.

9. PDF Bookmarks

   Please add back the ability to use built in PDF Bookmarks to the Box IOS App. This ability was present up until about 2 months ago now when apparently a library used to render PDF's was upgraded causing this ability to be lost.

   This has been an important feature for us as our users access large 50+ page PDF documents on a regular basis. During a meeting when directed to access a specific page within the document and bookmarks still worked, a user could simply select the bookmark which would send them to the exact page needed. Now users must fumble with sliding pages repeatedly going from the agenda on page 1 to trying to find the exact page needed. This is cumbersome and a downgrade to what was possible before.

10. Whitelisting Access Using Managed User Groups

    Companies frequently hire contractors and provide them with company email addresses to access internal networks and applications. This creates an issue with contractors having visibility into an entire folders and not just the projects/folders that apply to them. Shield's whitelisting capabilities allow us to limit external email domains, but because contractors are given a company email domain the whitelisting capabilities do not apply.

    We would like to be able to create a "Consultants" Managed User Group and whitelist access to break waterfall permission for internal Managed User Groups.

11. Make available an email address that consists of only numbers

    In our file request settings, the "Email address" is set as mandatory.
    Users whose email address consists of only numbers will be marked "Invalid email address" and will not be able to upload.
    In the current specification, users of companies that use email addresses consisting of only numbers cannot upload.

    Make sure that an email address consisting of only numbers is recognized as a valid email address.

13. Group - Allow the deletion of a list of user

    Group Management - Allow the deletion of a list of user.
    And do not search user one by one in the group, then click one by one on Remove button and then save ...
    When you have hundred users to remove in a group with thousand users, it is boring and time consuming...
    To add a group we can add several users at the same time, it is better !

14. Thumbnail previews of documents should show file type: docx vs pdf

    The new BOX.Com format no longer shows Word Docs with a Symbol vs PDF with
    a different symbol.

    i.e. they have removed the prior, very visual, cues as to document type.
    We can still see EXCEL symbol, but hopefully that will not be lost

    This is a problem for us since we have many documents with long names, and
    can't always see the final extension
    Not to mention visual cues are exceedingly useful and helpful.

16. Retention policy should be able to remove folders in addition to files.

    Currently the governance retention policy only delete files. We are using the integration with Oracle NetSuite and as such we have a folder that then gets a folder setup for each Case as we are sending and/or receiving data from customers via the Case we have with them. The policy is set to get data for 30 days. The files are getting removed, however, the folders still exist. This makes it challenging when you look from the Box web interface. It would be nice to have the ability to set folders to remove if they are empty.

18. I would really love to be able to see and use my PDF bookmarks from within the Box preview service

    I have large PDF files that are stored on Box. Rather than having to always download the files I would like to use the bookmarks within the PDF to navigate even if I am in the Box Preview function.

20. Content manager and folder picker for user activity report

    Ability for group admin/Business admin to use Contents Manager (and folder picker for user activity report).
    Currently, the group admin or admin of Business license cannot choose folder from picker on user activity report because they don't have the permission to view users' contents (or Contents Manager).
