Ability to filter recent files by file extension
It would be great to be able to filter files in the Recent Files section by extension, access date, etc. Currently you can't sort anything. My use case was easy. I knew I had access one Excel file one week before but couldn't remember the name nor the real date. instead of scrolling in the whole list, I could have selected "Excel / spreadsheet file" to see only these files for a faster search.

Upload all files possible, don't stop the upload queue when an error is encountered
There was a recent Box change where the upload queue now stops whenever an error, any error, is encountered where, previously, the upload queue would just continue to upload all files possible and the upload queue would remain open so you could scroll through and check which files failed to upload. Now you can't run an upload over night because as soon as one file upload fails, the whole queue stops, which is ridiculous.

Default sort only savable from All files page
The default file sort (name or last updated) can not be saved as a default. When refreshing the page it goes back to the last sort that you used on the "All Files" page.
Similar to other online file sharing platforms, when you change teh default sort to name or last modified it saves that sort for all other folders. On Box.com if you change the default sort to by last modified on the All Files page it then applies that as the default sort for all other sub folders. View Owner/Creator of Files in Box Drive
We would like the ability to display accurate information about the Owner/creator of files within Box Drive for Windows. The Owner column in Windows was used prior to our migration to Box to show who originally created the file for a folder all in a single glance. Although Box.com shows the upload history of individual files, it's a manual process of viewing each file-- a pain point-- compared to the table view of File Explorer with the Owner column displaying. Ability to open password protected files from mobile devices
Until a few weeks ago, password protected files could be opened through the mobile app from a mobile device. Now the attempt to open a password protected file results in an error of "Decryption failed. (null). Password protected files cannot be opened from mobile device from m.box.com or www.box.com either (error is different). Seems to defeat purpose of cloud based storage since so many users depend on a mobile device to open view files from Box storage.

Box Mobile - Hyperlink files embedded within Excel
While opening linked files within an excel file on the Box mobile application.
This is happening due to the current preview architecture for excel files and nested/linked files within the Box application. Although you can 'see' the desired file visible on the screen, within your current workflow, the Box app only recognizes the original file as being 'opened' which is why the original files are being saved and not the file open currently.

User activity report - for file move/ copy event, display full path to show where the files are originated from
For file move/ copy activity on User Activity report. "Detail" tab would show the name of the parent folder on where the file is from. "Parent Folder" tab would show the full path of destination.
If parent folder could also display in full path, intuitively it is easier for the admin to understand where the files are moved from and to.

Avoid files loss upon uninstall
The current uninstall app, on macOS, doesn't check on the syncing status of files. It erases the unsynced and cache folders directly, not even moving them to the system Trash.
I've recently followed the process to update the BoxDrive macOS 12 beta and lost one week worth of files that hadn't been synced.1 vote -
The ability to have an option to disable the auto folder creation of "Microsoft Teams Chat Files"
We would like to have an option to configure the folder creation of Box for Teams. For organizations that don't allow users to use Box as personal folder, Microsoft Teams Chat Files should be off and is controllable based on the needs.

I want you to apply the remind notification function for folders and files
Currently Box Relay cannot send reminders for folders and files.
I want you to apply the function to send notifications with a custom date and interval for each folder and file.

Upgraded my laptop, lost hundreds of files, Box support claiming files never properly synced
Hi Box, I am incredibly frustrated and disappointed with your product. Your customer support team said I need to post the feedback here. I have been using Box Drive for the past four years and was using it to keep track of sensitive and important records and information related to my employer's financial statement audits. This included hundreds of workpapers and workbooks used to gather and compile information to send to our auditors for the company to pass our annual audit. We have applied Box Shield's [Download and Print Restriction] to "For Box Desktop" and [Microsoft Office Coauthoring Basics] via browser is also disabled.

Add metadata to multiple files (without using a folder cascade)
I was wondering if it would be possible to add the possibility to add metadata to different pictures/files at the same time. We know it's possible to add meta data to a whole folder, but we would like the same to be possible for a selection of pictures within a folder. It is possible to add tags in this way, but not meta data.

Capability to finalize files
It would be useful if it's possible to "finalize" files. Means some persons work on a file together until it is finalized and then prevent any further modification on the file. There is the Lock function, but then the person who locked the file, could still unlock it.

Possibility to share with non-Box users annotated files including the annotations.
Annotating files, especially pdfs, inside Box would be much more useful to me if I could share the annotated file, including the annotations, with non-Box users. A setting on the shared link dialog like "Allow persons with the link to view annotations" would be a great enhancement.

External references between Excel files saved in Box by URL.
In Excel saved in SharePoint, the URL can be used to refer to the value of a cell in the other Excel file.
We would like a similar functionality in Box.
For example, if the file ID is "1234567890" and we want to refer to cell A1 of "sheet1", do the following.
