Extend the Collaborations Endpoint to Support "Accepted" Status Filter
Proposed Improvement:
Extend the Box API Collaborations Endpoint to Support "Accepted" Status FilterCurrent Endpoint Description:
The current Box API endpoint for retrieving collaborations (GET /collaborations) supports filtering by collaboration status, but it is limited to the status=pending parameter. This allows users to retrieve only pending collaboration invitations for files and folders. The endpoint is documented at:
https://developer.box.com/reference/get-collaborations/#param-statusProposed Enhancement:
Extend the GET /collaborations endpoint to include support for the status=accepted filter, enabling developers to retrieve all active (accepted) collaborations on files and folders owned by a specific Box user. This enhancement would improve the ability to manage and audit…1 vote -
Symlinks in Box to Solve Core Content Organizational Problems.
Box needs symlink support to solve this fairly standard problem that likely happens in every company.
Let's say you manage a team, and you have a team folder and a team structure for how you like to organize and store your files. Inside of that folder are meeting notes, projects, architecture documents, demo recordings, Hiring/Interview Documents and more.
The problem is, eventually the...
- HR team grows and wants to standardize on everyone's interview documents, hiring panels, and more, so they tell you where to put these sorts of files.
- Architecture team grows, and they now want all architecture-related files and…

Need for Retaining and Utilizing EXIF Data when Uploading Photos to box.com and Box Drive
I have been managing my photos on my PC and I'm considering migrating them to Box for better organization and accessibility. However, I've encountered a significant obstacle - the important EXIF data associated with my photos, such as the capture date and time, is lost once the photos are saved in a Box folder. This issue persists whether I upload the photos directly from the browser or through other methods.
I'm using Box Drive on Windows, and I've noticed that the property values also disappear in Explorer. Interestingly, when I moved the same file out of Box Drive, the property…

Allow Multiple Enterprise IDs (EIDs) to be Defined as a Single Internal Organization (Tenant Federation)
For security or operational reasons, it is common for a single enterprise to operate multiple Box tenants. However, when an organization's internal user scope ("company") is defined by its Enterprise ID (EID), users from these separate-but-related tenants are treated as external collaborators.
This creates significant problems and reduces usability:
Shared Link Restrictions: Users from a related tenant cannot access links shared with the "People in your company" permission level.
Group Collaboration Issues: It is not possible to invite groups from a related tenant to collaborate on content.
Reduced Security and Convenience: Collaborators from related tenants are flagged as "external,"…

Select groups in the Email Shared Link when creating a Shared Link
The alternative is entering every email in which is time consuming.
0 votesThis would require an integration into the mail clients for Box groups. This is not planned for the foreseeable future.

Lifting or pulling up the limitation of 100
Currently, when the box admin wants to enable Box features like Sign, Canvas etc., to partical users and groups, the #s of users and groups are limited to 100.
Could you consider lifting or pulling up the limitation ?
I know that making groups is a solution when the box admin want to add more than 100 employees. It is bit taking time to makie groups, and want to make it more easier.
I would like to know why 100 is set as a limitation.1 vote -

Modifying "Viewer Uploader" Permissions to Exclude Sharing Abilities
I would like to modify "viewer uploader" permissions to exclude sharing abilities. Particularly, with shared URL links.
What Christine mentioned:
"Question: I would like to modify "viewer uploader" permissions to exclude sharing abilities. How can I do that? If I can't (in general), how can I apply it to specific viewer uploader users?"

Copy users access on a one of basis
We would like a button which will allow the user to copy a users profile exactly. We do not want to have the user go in and invite to each folder or use groups in the use case

Enhance description of "Shared Contacts" setting for User Permissions
Area of product: Admin Console > choose admin/co-admin user > Edit user details > Edit User Access Permissions > Shared Contacts > description bubble
Currently this describes "Allow this user to see all managed users. If enabled, this user will be able to access other managed users in their contacts when inviting collaborators. External users will not show up in their contacts unless they are already collaborating with each other."
However, if this is unchecked it also prohibits Admins/Co-Admins from searching for managed users in Reporting and other areas of the Admin Console. Which is not mentioned or hinted…

Bulk Edit - Add Email Alias Column(s) to Bulk Edit Spreadsheet
Currently there's no way for an admin to manage/edit email aliases for their users in bulk via the Admin Console (they must develop custom scripting to do so).
REQUEST: Add the ability to edit/add email aliases for users when using the Bulk Edit feature (meaning add an alias column to the spreadsheet that allows the user to enter multiple aliases in one cell, separated by a delimeter like a semicolon - exactly what we already have for the Groups column of the spreadsheet).

Error message when trying to preview a password protected file is not clear.
When trying to preview a password protected file in Box, our users receive the message: "We are sorry, the server encountered an error while processing your documents, "which dos not really explain the nature of the problem (i.e., no explanation as to why it cannot be opened).
When trying to open with Excel Online, the error message is for them slightly better as it mentions that the file is encrypted and that they should follow-up with the author), yet does not explain how to open (with Box Edit via local app, or to download and later upload).
We would…
