1. Open link accessible only by those who hold a Box account

   I want to share sensitive content with people outside my organization for a limited time (e.g., 3 days).

   Problems:

   • Using an open link does not allow restricting access to specific individuals. Also, if the person does not have a Box account, it is not possible to record an access log.
   • Using collaborators does not allow for automatically removing certain collaborators after a set period.

   Please provide a solution.

2. Box Drive app more easily accessible

   It would be convenient to have an install Box link located in the Help menu or my Account icon similar to Dropbox. Even still, when I navigate to the Box App Center I have to go to Box Drive, scroll down to the respective OS and install. It sounds tedious but I needed to install Box and Dropbox on a bunch of computers and was reminded how the Box user experience still doesn't hold up to Dropbox. Neither is perfect and both have great features but I always feel like Box makes me take steps I don't need or doesn't understand the customer workflow. More QA and everyday user testing please.

3. Google Sheets preview

   The name of "sheet" on Google spreadsheet is normally displayed in the tab style and we can switch several sheets from one to another. However, when previewing Google Sheets file on Box, the name of sheet are displayed at the top of each page, which forces users to scroll down to the sheet they would like to see.
   I want Google Sheets preview to have the same view and style as the native Google spreadsheet.

4. launching office pop up box

   Can you add an option to tick a box 'do not show this again' for the launching office pop up. I have to shut this so many times a day and it's totally pointless for a regular user.

5. Ability to use comments and annotation functions when previewing Office files such as Excel.

   I would like to be able to use the annotation and comment addition functions even in previews of Office products (Excel, Word, etc.).

6. Improve on Download log in the Activity Log

   Currently when trying to access to a file that does not have a collaboration right, it is registered as download in the activity report.
   I have heard the support team that this is expected behaviour due to the backend work to read the thumbnail.
   However, when looking at the activity log, it looks like a user has "downloaded" that file even though they do not have access to it so would like the report to not show "download" but something else to know that the user hasn't actually downloaded that file.

7. Use Relay to copy or move based on filename

   I would love to use box relay for a simple workflow. Is it possible to build a relay workflow that when a file is uploaded to a folder to look for a phrase in the filename and copy/move to a subfolder?

   Ex: Uploaded Filename contains the word "Home" -> Move to Home folder

   or Uploaded Filename contains the word "Work"-> move to work folder

   Export of Box Search Results to csv – END-USERS & BOX ADMIN
   Background:
   • There are two methods of searching content in Box, for end-users
   o Box Drive – limited information
   o Box Web – more detailed

   • Box end-user’s Web Search results, have two views
   o List view
   o Grid view

   • Box Admins have Content Manager to search for content

   Enhancements:
   o Both end-users and Box Admins search results should both be enhanced

   END-USERS Search Results:
   • Box search results should CONTINUE to:
   o exclude content in Personal user folders
   o offer existing filters, but include NEW filters on other columns in the results

   • Box search results ‘Sort by’ would offer ADDITIONAL sorts by:
   o Document/folder name
   o Date modified (ascending/descending)
   o Document file-extension
   o Last modified date
   o Last modified by (name)
   o Files
   o Size

   • Additional button on right to identify additional results-view to toggle through
   • Additional ‘page selection (including specific page selection, < and > )
   • Additional button ‘Download’ to enable output to be downloaded to csv format
   • Box Web Search enhancement – new third ‘columnar’ view, showing raw document details in columnar format:
   o Item name (document or folder)
   o Path (including document name)
   o Document text (when search finds content inside a document)
   o Last modified date
   o Last modified by (name)
   o Number of files in folder (if result is a folder)
   o Size (KB) (if result is a document)
   o Document file-extension

   • Output downloaded to csv format, would include the following additional columns:
   o Item ID
   o Path ID
   o Owner login
   o Owner name
   o Uploaded date
   o Item type (file/folder/bookmark)

   • All columns should be SIZEABLE (adjust column widths), and text too long should wrap onto new line

   BOX ADMINs Search Results
   • In Box Admin, Content Manager SEARCH results should have similar export functionality to the END-USER version described above
   • BOX ADMINs SEARCH results should CONTINUE to search across ALL data owners

9. Unable to move Box files to new hard drive

   I added a larger, secondary drive to my computer, and I'd like to move the Box Drive and off line files to this second drive. This is because the C-drive is 90% full while the new terabyte drive is almost empty. I need to free up space on the C-drive. I was told "customizing the Box Drive folder does not change where Box Drive stores its app data or cached files, including items marked for offline use, so customizing the folder will not save disk space if you relocate the folder to another drive".

10. Option to overwrite metadata values when moving file

    We would like the option for a metadata attribute to be overwritten automatically when moved to a folder with cascading metadata enabled for the same metadata template.

    Here's our use case:
    Some of our organization content currently sits in user folders. People accessing that content have no way of knowing where it sits, and therefore can't take action to move it to the desired location. Applying a metadata template indicating if content sits within a user or an organizational folder would be a great way to make this visible to users. With the current behavior, we can't do that, as the metadata value would not be modified when the content gets moved (unless we take the one-time action to overwrite, which is not practical in our case)

    Allow reporting of user search activity.

    We would like to get statistics on how many times a day users search on Box.　
    And what searched. who was search.
    This is currently not available in the User Activity Report.

    that research for user's searching demand is an important knowledge data for admin and usage development.

    When sending a metadata query request for which the result set exceeds 2,000 items, the API can only guarantee that it returns all all matching results if both the following conditions are met.
    1.The requesting user has at least ​Previewer ​permission to all items in the result set
    2.The ancestor folder contains all of the files in the result set

    With the above limitation, it is not possible to narrow down the search to metadata for a specific folder when the range of metadata assigned is wide.
    Could it be improved so that the number of items in the result set is counted after taking into consideration the narrowing down of folders?
    *Request is to remove the limitation of "2. The ancestor folder ~".

    When sending a metadata query request for which the result set exceeds 2,000 items and for which these conditions are not true, the API might return error with a 4XX response code indicating that the query will need to be restricted to return fewer results.

    Alternatively, could it be possible to relax the limit of 2,000 items, which is the number of result set items that could return the above error?

    Photo enhancement – “fills in the pixilated blanks” on a photo so that it is clearer and perhaps more flexible to be zoomed. We get a lot of cellphone pictures for potential use that are framed nicely but low quality.

    User groups often look to create an interface for document repositories for content stored on Box, where metadata could be used to search/filter content. That would be an interface with medatada fields similar to what can be found on websites (i.e. https://www.calpnetwork.org/library/). The current experience of using the native search, then selecting a single metadata template, then selecting an attribute is not sufficiently user friendly and it's not possible to embed a pre-selected set of metadata fields for search onto an intranet or website.
    We're currently not using metadata templates much, but this would be a very practical way to demonstrate how useful metadata are for end-users.

20. Ability to control whether or not a user can un-invite himself/herself.
