box sync ignore files
Are you kindly considering adding a feature to skip / ignore certain paths (directories, files) stored on local machine from syncing? Some examples of situations where inability to exclude files from backup causes undesired issues: 1) There are programs which store temporary files among synced folders. These temporary files frequently change and are deleted on program exit, which results into frequent unnecessary synchronization and deletion of files in cloud, therefore waste of computing resources and bandwidth. 2) Specific program creates empty file "running" to indicate it's in running state. Comments should copy over when files are copied from one folder to another
Not sure why this has changed, however, when copying files from one folder to another (inside a parent folder) it would be great if the comments would also copy over. They used to, up until mid-2021. For example, I have files I share for approval in a working project, that I copy into an ASSETS folder after approval

File Request+Metadata issue : Unexpected changing number via mouse operation
When requesting a number field of metadata with a file request link, the number may changes unintentionally due to the user's scrolling the mouse.
Can you improve the input field of the file request so that it is not affected by mouse scrolling?10 votes -
Auto lock/unlock for read-only file.
Currently, BoxDrive works with AutoLockUnlock=1 as below.
- When we open a read-only settings(Windows OS file property), it is locked automatically.
- And then, when we close the file, the read-only setting is gone.
Please improve as below.

Enhance sorting (alphabetical order)
We use box for our law firm. We often have hundreds of exhibits in a folder. For example: "Exhibit 1 - XYZ Transcript." The exhibits should be listed in alphabetical order, so that Exhibit 1 is first, Exhibit 2 second, so on. But when there is an "Exhibit 11" that becomes the second exhibit listed, "Exhibit 12" the third exhibit. Please build an option to fix this so that they are put in the correct alphabetical order.
Using lettering rather than numeration doesn't help because there usually more than 26 exhibits.

Scheduled relay task
Add a Time field with time zone to send a notification in Box Relay. Currently scheduled events can only be set at the date level.

Capture Device information in the User Activity Report
We had a situation that ex-employee use Box Sync app using his personal laptop but Admin has no way to figure out whether he accessed them from corporate laptop or his personal laptop. The User Activity Report only shows ip address. It would be good to capture device name or OS version so Admin can double check what device this user is using when accessing synced files.

Using Box Relay on Mobile
Box Relay's [manually initiated] workflow does not currently support mobile.
We would like Box Relay to be able to use mobile even more effectively.(In Japanese)

Template for publishing to specific groups in Box Relay
The only templates in Relay are company templates and My Templates.
Our company has templates that we want to publish for each group, so we would like you to provide the ability to publish templates to groups.

File size limits for File Request uploads
We have tried using the File Request to encourage our supply chain to upload files directly from our filing system on Box instead of using unathorised file transfer services, however it frequently fails due to file size. I note in the FAQ that the maximum file upload size is limited by that permitted by the content submitter - it would be more useful if the file upload size was based by that permitted by our account as the organisation requesting the file. Store all generated Box Reports into a Single Shared Folder for the Enterprise
Need a common folder in the enterprise to store reports generated by box by admins and various co-admins. This will reduce the load on the box platform as well as it will significantly reduce duplicate runs. Allow file to be opened from web UI on double click.
I like that I can see the preview and other information on the file when I click on the name. However, I would prefer for the file to be opened when I double click on it, instead of having to click and then having to go and click on another menu to open in Microsoft Word. It would be great to have the ability to single-click to view the details, as it is now, and double-click to automatically open a file in Microsoft Word.

Ability to disable/modify admins receiving ALL collaboration invite notifications
Currently every time someone in our organization shares a file or folder I get an email notification, it gets obnoxious at at times. It seems silly I can't control these notifications. The following need to be able to be turned off,

virus metadata
With the virus scan metadata template that is available on an account with shield and virus scan on, I would like to see this metadata applied and visible on all files in my organization, not just those that have been detected as containing malicious content.
It looks like the template was designed for wide spread application since its "scan status" fields contain results such as clean, suspicious,unscanned and unknown along with the malicious result.

Box Drive Bandwidth Usage - Can I pause or limit?
"Every time my Box Drive is syncing large (200-500mb) files, it uses as much bandwidth as it can. While in the office, this was rarely an issue. But, working from home, the rest of my household notices very slow internet while I am syncing files. "
Please add a feature that allows us to limit the bandwidth of Box Drive.

Can we get another pop-up screen when Deleting a Shield Access policy to make sure that is the action the admin wants to take?
The 'Delete' and the 'Edit' button are right next to each other on the Shield Access Policy page. When clicking 'Delete' the policy automatically deletes. It is easy to accidentally click instead of 'Edit'. Can we get a second window that asks if that is the action the Admin/ Co-Admin wants to take on the policy?

Ability to Enable/Disable Annotations
We would like to request for a feature to be able to enable/disable Annotations.
Annotations is very convenient, but sometimes it could make users confusing, if they do not know how to use it.
