1. Support for shared links in MCP

   Add a shared link resolution tool to the Box MCP server that accepts a Box shared link URL and returns the corresponding file or folder ID and metadata. Shared links are the primary way our users share content in Box, and without this capability, an agent cannot act on a shared link that a user provides directly. Users share links with colleagues as a natural part of their workflow; they should be able to share them with an AI agent the same way.

2. Support Copilot Integration with Multiple Box Environments under a Single Microsoft Tenant

   Many enterprises operate under a structure where a single Microsoft tenant is shared, while Box environments are separated by legal entity.
   With the current limitation that Copilot × Box integration is restricted to a 1:1 relationship, it is difficult to achieve both group-wide Copilot adoption and proper information governance.
   Enabling secure integration with multiple Box environments while maintaining a single Microsoft tenant would unlock significant value, including group-wide AI utilization, greater flexibility for M&A and organizational restructuring, and the avoidance of unnecessary Box environment consolidation or Microsoft tenant separation.

4. your AI bot has been a disaster for me today

   I have been trying to get help for over an hour and chatting with the AI bot in your help section. I have been unable to access lost files which somehow disappeared from my account today. there was a Box reset and my computer restarted automatically over night and when i logged back in, the last ten days of data is gone! I am 100% certain the files were in Box as that is the only place i save my files and i have accessed them multiple times through Box over the last few weeks. Your BOT could not understand that and repeatedly went in circles. I understand it is a way for you to save money, however, I am a paying customer who lost extremely urgent files and needs help asap and you offer no assistance other than an AI bot. it is extremely sad and frustrating that this is what has happened in the technology world. Humans still need humans to help on occasion and this is one of those occasions. I hope someone actually reads this and understands what is missing in Box. Thank you, Daniel Samson

6. Please show only collaborators in the Box Notes mention suggestions.

   When mentioning someone in Box Notes, users who are not included as collaborators are also displayed in the suggestion list. This makes it difficult to select the intended user and creates a risk of accidentally selecting someone unrelated.
   As with other files, please limit the users displayed in the mention suggestion list to collaborators only.

   The ability to add files to a specific page/section in a hub with the Automate Hub outcome. example. We have a policy hub with all published polices. a new version is going through an approval and when it is approved it should be added to one or more pages/sections in the hub. 8. Allow scheduling of Folder Insights Reports

   The ability to schedule the Folder Insights reports (Collaborations | Folder Activity | Shared Links) would open up greater reporting capability and remove manual work in generating these reports.

   This is especially beneficial in enterprises where multiple agencies' content is stored, with different agencies having different reporting requirements (i.e. weekly auditing of external collaborators on their content)

9. Enhancing View Visibility with Text and Background Customization

   I received feedback from a customer regarding improving visibility within views.

   They specifically requested the following enhancements:

   ・Ability to adjust text size
   ・Ability to change text color
   ・Expanded background color palette, including darker color options

   These improvements would allow users to better tailor the interface to their preferences and working environments (e.g., long working hours or dark mode setups).

   In views with a high density of information, visibility directly impacts productivity, so we believe this would be a valuable enhancement.

11. Conditional rules in sign templates that can decide what recipients need to sign.

    Being able to create conditions that determine whether a recipient receives a sign request. For instance, if a contract's total price exceeds x, then A and B must sign. However, if it is lower than x, then only A needs to sign.

12. We would like to be able to stop email notifications for annotations on Box Notes and files.

    Currently, when another user adds an annotation (without @mention) to a Box Note, an email notification is sent to the note owner even if email notifications are turned off in both the account and folder settings.

    Also, when documents are created from Relay templates, annotations added to those copied documents trigger email notifications to the Relay workflow owner, even if they are not directly involved.

    It would be very helpful if annotation notifications could (1) follow existing user/folder notification settings, and (2) be disabled or limited so that users do not receive large numbers of irrelevant emails (including those caused by Relay-generated files).

14. Allow Box AI for Hubs to scope responses to the current Hub page or selected Hub pages

    We would like Box AI for Hubs to support scoping AI responses not only to the entire Hub, but also to the current Hub page or selected Hub pages/subpages.

    Box AI for Hubs is very useful because users can ask questions across the content in a Hub. However, when a Hub is organized into multiple pages by department, business process, project, topic, or chapter, users often want to ask questions only about the content on the page they are currently viewing.

    Example use cases:

    ・Ask questions only against the “Travel Policy” page in an internal policy Hub
    ・Summarize only the “Security Training” page in an onboarding Hub
    ・Extract action items only from the files listed on a “Meeting Notes” page in a project Hub
    ・Generate an FAQ only from the files listed on a specific department page in an employee portal Hub

    Although users can narrow the reference content by adding specific sources, it is not practical for end users to manually select each file or folder every time, especially when a Hub page already organizes the relevant files and folders for them. Since Hub pages and subpages are part of the Hub’s information architecture, it would be much more intuitive if that structure could also be used as the AI scope.

    Requested behavior:

    ・When launching Box AI for Hubs, users can choose a scope such as “This page only,” “Selected pages,” or “Entire Hub”
    ・The current Hub page can be used as the AI context, including files, folders, links, and text blocks placed on that page
    ・Users can select multiple Hub pages/subpages as the AI context
    ・Citations and source references are limited to the selected page scope
    ・Existing Box permissions, Hub permissions, Shield classifications, and AI access controls continue to be fully respected

    This would make Box AI for Hubs much more useful for large knowledge portals. It would help users get more accurate and relevant answers by narrowing the AI context to the part of the Hub they are actually working with.

15. Request for Additional Configurable Shared Link Types

    Currently, there are three types of Shared Links: [People with the link, people in your company, and people in this folder], but I’d like to see more granular options.
    I’d like a feature that allows me to specify a domain for internal users so that only users from that domain can access the folder.

16. Please allow us to change the owner of large folders (containing more than 3 million items)

    When deleting an account belonging to a former employee, our standard procedure is to transfer ownership of the user’s content to another user before deleting the account.
    However, if a user has a folder containing more than 3 million items, we are unable to delete that user’s account.
    We would like to be able to transfer ownership of large folders containing more than 3 million items.

17. Rotate PDF files within Box Sign

    There is currently a feature request that is labelled as on the roadmap to be able to rotate/zoom PDFs in Box Preview. We are requesting that this feature also be implemented in Box Sign as it is a pain to have to open PDF files in Acrobat to just rotate them, then save them, then upload to Box Sign.

18. Enable a Group Membership Admin role, which allows add/remove members of a Box group, without enabling modifications to the group.

    Dear Box Product Owner,
    This request proposes a new "Group Membership Admin" role within Box Groups to improve access control management, particularly for folders containing sensitive information, and to streamline compliance with regulatory requirements.

    Problem:
    Currently, Box Groups are a valuable tool for managing entitlements to folders, especially those containing highly sensitive content. Integrating Box Groups with IAM tools like SailPoint enables efficient access provisioning, access reviews, and adherence to FFIEC and other regulatory standards. By managing access through groups, we can ensure that all collaborators on sensitive folders are added via controlled group memberships.

    However, the existing "Group Admin" role grants broad permissions that are not always necessary or desirable for folder owners who simply need to manage group membership. Folder owners require the ability to add and remove members from a group to grant/revoke access to the sensitive information within their folders. Granting folder owners full "Group Admin" rights exposes the group to unintended modifications, such as changes to the group's folder associations, which compromises the integrity of the group's defined access scope. Maintaining a clear and consistent understanding of which groups have access to which folders is crucial for effective access reviews and overall security governance.

    Proposed Solution:
    We propose introducing a new role, tentatively named "Group Membership Admin," with the following limited capabilities:
    • Add Members to a Group: This function would allow the designated user to add new members to a specific Box Group.
    • Remove Members from a Group: This function would allow the designated user to remove existing members from a specific Box Group.

    This new role would explicitly exclude the ability to:
    • Modify the group's name or description.
    • Associate the group with new folders.
    • Remove the group's association with existing folders.
    • Delete the group.
    • Change other group settings beyond membership.

    Benefits:
    • Enhanced Security and Compliance: By limiting the scope of permissions, the "Group Membership Admin" role minimizes the risk of unintended changes to group configurations and ensures that access controls remain aligned with security policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Improved Access Management: Folder owners can efficiently manage access to sensitive content by controlling group membership directly, without requiring intervention from IT or security administrators.

    If a task is assigned to multiple people, I want a completion notification to be sent to the other members assigned to the task once one of them marks it as complete.
