Have the ability to retroactively expire shared links.
If I understand correctly, the only way we can go back and fix this for existing folders is to create an application that does this through the API or send a request to end users to fix folders they own. Is that correct?
It might be helpful to include a functionality in the future that allows an Admin to reset that setting for existing folders in the environment.

Hide folders from Collaborators
Hello, would love to be able to hide folders (I am currently the owner) from collaborators that way as the owner I can monitor what is seen by collaborators as a whole without them seeing things change on their end.

Sharing information with people outside my organization.
when a URL is shared to someone they will then have the ability to download. locking a file feature is available, unfortunately, it needs to be performed one by one. the ability to lock entire folders all at once would be very helpful.

Associate Group with Shared Email Address
In Enterprise User Management tools such as GSuite and Active Directory, it is very common to have a group specifically for Distribution lists or shared email inboxes.
It would be helpful if, within Box groups, a group could be associated with such an email address.
This email would be able to receive notifications when the group is granted access to a folder or assigned a task (another request I have seen).
Important, this shared email address must not be associated with a system user account; otherwise a user seat would have to be used for the account, which isn't helpful.

Please separate the colors of the icons displayed in folders and files.
Due to the release of Box Shield's new classification indicators, the colors of the "lock icon" and "shared link icon" displayed on folders and files are all grayed out.
In the past, the "lock icon" was red, and the "shared link icon" was blue, etc., making it easy for users to see and use.We believe this is a far cry from Box's goal of accessibility, which is "ease of use for all users."
In order to provide an easy-to-use environment for all users, please restore the icon colors to the previous specifications or color code them.(Japanese)…

Ability to prevent users from adding/deleting files and folders of a specific folder without affecting that folder's sub-folders
Example: I have a top level folder called 'Top'. Inside that folder I have two other folders 'A' and 'B'. I would like to prevent users from adding and deleting content in the 'Top' folder but still allow them to add and delete content in folders 'A' and 'B'.

Share folder as read-only/add folder to Box Drive from shared link
Case:
I receive the agenda and related documents for meetings within the department I work at as Shared Links to a folder in Box. I want to access these documents during the meeting directly through Box Drive on my computer. The desired access includes any documents added after I first opened the link. All related accounts are part of the same organisation/"Company" (in this case a university).Current situation:
When I am signed into my Box account and open the link I can view the documents and have two options: "Save link" and "Download". The only way to get it…2 votes -
Update Shared Link Reports to Stop Security Flaw
Whilst I see this issue was raised a few years ago, I wanted to separately address this.
Currently, from discussions resulting from a support case ticket, when I send a shared link email, there doesn't appear to be a shared link report that includes critical details such as the date the shared link was sent together with at least the email address of the recipient.
The shared link report under User Activities only appears to show actions by the owner of the link and no details of the recipient (i.e. download/access details).
As it appears there is no way that…

Root folders report
It would be very beneficial and time saving if there was a filter on the Box side that will give you a list of all root level folders in the entire enterprise

When setting a password for a shared link, if unsupported characters (symbols " >" / "<" and spaces) are entered, an error will be displayed and the password will not be set.

Revert to former UX for selecting files/folders (no more check boxes)
In order to select multiple files or folders in the Box Web App you now have to use the checkboxes which are only visible when you hover over the file/folder all the way to the right.
Previously, you could select multiple files and folders by clicking on the file or folder icon on the far left, and didn’t have to bother with checkboxes. The suggestion is to revert to the former UX for selecting files/folders

On a shared (collaborated) folder ensure that the "Share this Folder" option is removed from all external collaborators as testing has shown that it is possible for an external collaborator (even with viewer permissions) to enable sharing and get a copy of the shared link albeit the link defaults to “internal access” only.
3 votesThanks for the feedback. Per our collaborator permission guidelines, Viewer permissions are able to see and send view-only shared links — however they cannot invite collaborators or modify sharing permissions.

Disabling shared links after the link is viewed
Currently there is the option have the shared link expire on a specific date. It would be beneficial to also have a shared link be disabled as soon as it is viewed. Having a link that's "one-time use only" would be ideal in various use cases like sharing sensitive information.
Having this also be the case for invited external parties would be helpful.

Box for Teams v2: Bunch of files will be shown when the files has shared in direct chat
When the files has shared in the direct chat, it will be uploaded in "Microsoft Teams Chat Files" folder on sender side, on the other hand, for the receiver side, files will be listed in the top directory, which leads to list bunch of files in the top directory.
It would be nice, if the new folder will be created for the each chat under "Microsoft Teams Chat Files" folder and add collaboration for the folder when the direct chat has started.

Synchronize Single Files in folders
We want the ability to synchronize individual files in a folder to the desktop rather than entire folders, allowing us to accelerate what is available in the WebUI faster.

Make editing password protected shared links clearer
When a shared link to document or folder is already password protected, and a user wishes to change the password, the password screen should be clearer as to how this is accomplished - possibly by an additional Change button or Confirm Changes
Currently this is unclear

Customize shared link theme and logo
As the File request link can be customized (text, colors, logo...), it would be great to customize a shared link too.
We have many companies inside our enterprise, so each company would be able to set its logo for their shared links (and not the default one of the enterprise).1 vote -
Shared links without expiration
It takes 6 clicks (unless I'm missing a faster way) to turn off the expiration for a shared link. Can it be on the first pop-up window when you enable the link!?
