Two User accounts on same Windows 10 computer
There should be a possibility that two users on the same windows 10 computer, each user separately logging into his/her own windows account, could each log into his/her own box account and use box drive. BoxDrive is much more convenient that to go via the browser. This seems not possible now.
Additionally it is annoying that the the box drive shows up for login when the second user enters the windows account, and if startup of box is switched off for that user, then it is also switched off for the main user (the admin user who has…1 vote -
Not inviting a user on a single file via SFC when the user is already collaborated through group
Currently, when single file collaboration (SFC) happens where an invited user is collaborated via Group, it doesn't catch the fact that the user already has an access permission

Force Box Drive to sync status with Box every time file is touched .
for example: User A locks a file, User B opens the file in drive (the lock status still hasn’t sync’d down user’s machine yet)
User B edits the file and tries to save but Drive will show that it wasn’t able to save back the change to box and creates a problematic file.
User B closes the file, and then reopens the file. The change User B made still shows up.
Onedrive checks for the latest status every time it opens a file or when you try to save a file it will sync status with what is in…75 votes -
Function to disable the display of the login authentication screen for Box for Microsoft Office co-editing features on a per-user basis.
The following is a request regarding the seamless login feature.
https://support.box.com/hc/ja/articles/44224534926355To avoid displaying the login authentication screen, we understand that enabling the co-editing feature for only certain users in the tenant settings will resolve the issue.
However, if the number of users enabling or disabling the co-editing feature increases, managing user and group additions or removals through tenant settings each time becomes extremely cumbersome and impractical.
Implementing this feature enables end users to handle issues immediately on their own, reducing the burden on administrators.
18 votes -
File Request User Configuration - error messaging
When configuring File Request for "enable for select users", users remain in the list even if they have been deleted from Box. If you try to add a new user to the list, you will receive an error message. The reason for the error is because a deleted user is still in the list, however the error is a standard message and does not explicitly say this. So customers do not know why they are getting an error. There should be clearer messaging in the error so customers know what they need to do.

Content Manager should be content-based instead of user-based
Request from healthcare customer: Instead of Content Manager being organized by user, then showing their folder structures and content within that user, Content Manager should be a direct reflection of the organization's folder structure in a tree view that allows the admin to have an understanding of what is in their tenant, root level folders, and then if you click on an individual folder, you can see the corresponding users and content within.

Filter unmanaged users who have not been collaborated in the user detail report.
Content:
Currently, the user detail report cannot filter unmanaged users who have not been collaborated,
and it is necessary to check while cross-referencing with the user list on the Users and Groups screen.
Additionally, the unmanaged user list on the Users and Groups screen can take up to 24 hours to reflect changes,
which may cause discrepancies with the information at the time of report output, reducing operational efficiency.
I request the implementation of a feature that can filter unmanaged users who have not been collaborated.(日本語)
3 votes -
Tables - Ability to Copy a Row and Paste into a Table in A Different Box Note
Requesting ability to copy a Box Note row and paste into another Box Note table (preserving formatting and links). Currently, you can paste into a new table this way, not an existing table in our testing.
Rationale: Ease of use, consistent ability to cut and paste

allowing admins to sort by what folder permissions a user has so we can mirror those for another user
allowing admins to sort by what folder permissions a user has so we can mirror those for another user. Right now, I can't sort by permissions under a user. I have to manually scroll down the whole folder structure and then have another window open with the user that needs the same permissions to the same folders, and add them manually. Why can't we sort by folder owner, or permission?

File request email address included in User Activity Reports
When generating a user activity report, populate the email addresses that the end-user puts in under the email address field of a file request URL link. Otherwise if the user isn't signed into box, this field is empty on the user activity report.

Give me better tools for managing external users. More search options, different sorts and ability to do mass operations.
When you have a large number of external users, you find it cumbersome to manage. It would be helpful to have better ways to search for users and ways to edit existing external users. Also, adding expiration dates to their access would be helpful.

Ability for users to track activity
In the Closed configuration ,Only admins and co-admins can track activity on the files listed at the URLs below.
Users cannot be tracked.
If users can export reports, they can perform on themselves statistical analysis.
As a result, it becomes possible to actively use Box.
So I want users to be included in the targets that can be exported.26 votes -
Ability to manage suppression lists
Administrator not able monitor and allow to release own User from Suppression List is a big not good (Cause we won’t know if anyone being accidentally suppress. Till next time User alert and we check to email Spam, check external Mail Security than last check to BOX). When User being capture and put under Suppression List can the system send Administrator notification message and preview and/or release; instead log case check to BOX Support??!
204 votesWe are excited to introduce Suppression List Management for Administrator, a solution designed to streamline the process of handling suppression lists with ease.
Previously, customers had to reach out to Product Support to solve the problem with Notification delivery. With this new feature, Box Administrators can remove Users from the Suppression List without the need to contact the Box Support team. This feature will be available in the Admin Console under the Notification tab.

Add Service Accounts to Managed User list in the Admin Console
Enterprise admins can see App Users and Managed Users in the User list in the Admin Console, but not Service Accounts.

Provide read-only scope for user information
I'd like to provide our central identity management team a way to tell whether or not a given Box user has a > 0 byte usage before they delete the user's account (for example, as someone leaves our organization). I'd like to give them read-only API access to https://api.box.com/2.0/users, without giving them any additional access. Support tells me that this isn't currently possible. It'd be nice if it was--this could be useful for a number of other uses, too, such as reporting.
2 votesThanks for the suggestion! Providing a read-only scope for Users via API is not currently on the roadmap, but we’ll update this request if that changes.

Add additional user reporting without "Export User" report
There is currently no way to report on Users besides the export user option which exports the entire list of users in the enterprise along with a lot of useful details.
It would be very useful if admins could generate reports with the options in the sort by on the webapp. While we can use the sort by on the web, exporting the users provides more details on one screen admins can review that the webapp does not provide unless you drill into each user.
For example, ability to export users (along with current details…

Choosing access permission of a user by the network (IP)
We want Box service to be able to control the access permission to the file within the same user by the access source (network, device, etc.).
Example:
-When accessed from an internal network, access permission is "Editor", and when accessed from an external network, this user becomes "Previewer".
-Although "Editor" can be performed from a corporate PC, only "Preview" can be performed from a private PC.3 votes -
We would like the ability to @mention users invited via groups.
A user can only invite users to folders via group. At present, if a user is invited via a group, they cannot @mention this user.

Salesforce integration to support Salesforce platform user licenses
The Box for Salesforce integration installation guide and FAQ state that the integration only works if Salesforce users have a full "Salesforce" user license. This is a deal breaker for many organizations that have Salesforce users with the more affordable Salesforce "Platform" user license.
Since the integration supports custom Salesforce objects, I don't see why the full Salesforce licenses would be required for each user. I would understand if the integration user (Box service account) needs a full Salesforce license, but individual users should be able to use this integration with a Salesforce platform license. Platform…

Customize Collaborator Permission Levels
Any chance that we can have some flexibility in the "Collaborator Permission Levels." Can we develop a tool to edit these levels, like check which function the user can have. Having set levels with no flexibility is difficult because every user needs different access.
