I want to select multiple users from the collaborator list and delete all the collaborators at once.
I would like to add the ability to select multiple users from the collaborators list and delete collaborations in bulk.
Currently, in the Box folder, you need to select the permissions of each user from the collaborators list and select one user at a time.
Example: Editor → DeleteThis takes a lot of time when there are a lot of users, so we need a function to delete them all at once.
If there are a lot of department transfers within the company, the folder administrator has to do this every month for security reasons for each …

Create a Box group/alias or ability to select a different name to replace the workflow owner’s name.
I’ve created several Relay workflows across the business and the issue I found is that people are reaching out to me because my name is tied to a task that is assigned to them. Often times, I do not have any context to the workflow so it results in me having to reach out to the person who started/uploaded the document. We want to avoid approvers having to reach out to the workflow owner vs. the actual owner of the program. This process would not be sustainable if it were rolled out to a larger company.
Currently Example: Hayley creates…

Filter folders that user can access by Access level in the Users & Groups tab
Currently, all folders that a managed user may or may not have access to appear in the 'Edit User Access permissions' panel. There should be a filter for the Access level - so that eg. folders with Access level 'None' do not come up.

Upload/Change User Avatars (Profile Pictures) from Managed Users Page in Admin Console
Currently user avatars (profile pictures) can only be added, removed, or changed from an individual user's account settings and these avatars are not editable whatsoever via the admin console. Meaning for an admin to add one on behalf of a user or to remove one, they must use instant log in (which not many co-admins have).
When clicking to edit a user from the Admin Console -> Managed Users page, options to manage the user's avatar should be presented (just like we have for editing their name, email, etc.).

When Deleting managed users 'Notify User' should be unchecked by default
When we delete managed users this screen pops up confirming our request with an option to Notify user. By default it is checked off.
Can we change that in our enterprise settings so that is unchecked by default?

Ability to Name Scheduled Reports
Add the ability to name the scheduled report. Currently the report is delivered as a csv file with the generic name of the report being run ie: "User Activity" and a date/time stamp. It would be very helpful to have the ability to type the name of the report so when it is delivered to me or my team the name is meaningful, and we readily know the content of the report. For example, if we have multiple reports scheduled, but they all arrive with the name "User Activity" we must open each one to determine what the…

Max_Upload_Size Field Needs a Box CLI Switch for User Record Updating
Each user now has the maxuploadsize field in their user record, which designates the largest single file size that a user can upload. This setting can be viewed in the user's profile in the WebUI and is set as an Enterprise level setting.
Just as the user's spaceamount (their quota) can be set via the Box CLI, using the --disk-space switch when updating a user's record, there is a need to be able to access a switch to set maxupload_size when updating individual user records via the Box CLI.

Get documents into and out of Box Notes from other formats
My organization likes Box Notes for their online-collaboration support. But when we have existing documents, we can't get them into a Box Note. And if we want to get them out, we can't do that either.
Add import and export support to Box Notes. I'd be delighted with Markdown, but my organization can work with just about any open format. Or publish your own proprietary format. XML or JSON, we don't care! Just make it possible to get documents into and out of Box Notes.

Enable a Group Membership Admin role, which allows add/remove members of a Box group, without enabling modifications to the group.
Dear Box Product Owner,
This request proposes a new "Group Membership Admin" role within Box Groups to improve access control management, particularly for folders containing sensitive information, and to streamline compliance with regulatory requirements.Problem:
Currently, Box Groups are a valuable tool for managing entitlements to folders, especially those containing highly sensitive content. Integrating Box Groups with IAM tools like SailPoint enables efficient access provisioning, access reviews, and adherence to FFIEC and other regulatory standards. By managing access through groups, we can ensure that all collaborators on sensitive folders are added via controlled group memberships. However, the existing "Group Admin"…

Box Reports User Details - Distinguish download to local disk vs. download using Box Drive
Want a way to tell if the user downloaded it locally to their machine vs. just opening the doc via Box Drive/Office App/Box website. This feature would be extremely helpful to when a user is leaving the company and we want to know if they are “taking company docs”. Having “download” for simply opening and editing a doc is mis-leading. Would be super helpful to differentiate between the two.

Distinguish FTP and FTPS in User Activity Report
would like a way to distinguish the difference between FTP and FTPS traffic.
The “details” column in the user activity report only shows the connection to “Box FTP Server”,
but it doesn’t specify which protocol or port was used.2 votes -
Enable Tasks in Box Notes
Client is a heavy user of Box Notes (for project plans, team meetings, checklists, lists and other). They'd like to be able to assign tasks related to those lists/activities/other from the Box Note to collabs.

disable certain user from viewing a folder without affecting parent folder access permission to an user in BOX
companies sometime have sensitive folder that only certain people should have access but need to be under a project folder which many other users for organizational reasons.
sadly box on the web doesn't have the basic function of disabling Inherited Permissions from the parent folder so we can decide who can see the content from a specific folder

Ability to pin a folder to remain at the top of the main Box Web App screen.
Either a user or an admin should be able to pin a folder.
Using favorites is the current alternative, but for usability purposes and sharing important content, pinning would be helpful as well

Checking last accessed date and user on folders
Adding a feature where you are able to see the last time a certain folder was accessed along with the name of the person who accessed it. Similar to how it's done with google drive. This will help companies strengthen their security over data shared on Box Drive as this will allow them to keep track of who's accessing the files/folders. Especially when it comes to collaborators and shared links, you will be able to keep track of who has accessed these folders and when.

Have IP address as a searchable field on the user activity report
Allow me to search the User Activity Report for specific IP addresses. I have anonymous downloads of files I would like to verify if the IP address has ever been used by a logged in user.

Block root shared folder renaming
I found it very disappointing when every user with editor's permissions can rename (and probably even delete) root folders. This is the absolutely most typical scenario with shared folders, and everything from cheapest NAS to Azure Sharepoint can prevent renaming (or worse deleting) root folders.
I really miss the typical R/W user - Editor without permissions to delete/rename the root folder.
