List of folders with overridden email notifications
Many users choose to override the default email notifications for certain box folders but then forget which folders they chose the override setting. It would be nice under the Notifications section to list which folders the user has chosen to override email notification settings.

Option to revert accidentally moved files/folders
More often than not users accidentally move files/folders by mistake.
Reverting is nothing but a complete and avoidable nightmare.
The current process is horrendous. Running a report on moves only gives you info on WHO moved the folder and where it was ORIGINALLY. After finally searching for and locating the folder, the Admin Console gives you no options to move the folder. You instead have to granting yourself permission to the parent folder, navigating to your personal Box account and make the move manually. I hope I'm not crazy but this process is in no way intuitive or fun…

Add Attributes for Shared-links when using CLI
Currently, there is only the command shared-links:get. There are no attributes exposed when trying to access data from Powershell. However the attributes are available in the API specification.

Have a personalized name for a shared file or folder
It would be great if we could apply a tag, or rename a file or folder to something private to the user rather than what the original owner named the file.
Today we can move those items into Collections to manage them with our own naming, but that doesn't resolve the issue of individual files or folders with ambiguous names. For example: I need to track certain files that a bunch of different teams are working on as part of "Company Project 1". I don't need to see everything the teams are doing, so they don't grant me access to…

Open shared links on Box mobile app
When tapping an iOS icon tied to a Box shared link, the file should open immediately in the Box app instead of redirecting to the mobile web page where the user sees the option to "Open in Box App," "Download for free," "View on Box Mobile Site."

Remove shares no longer available after the owner was deactivated
We deactivated one user who retired. The folders he owned disappeared in Box Web for the shared users but they didn't disappear in Box drive, so users could still create files which were not saved in Box.
Could deactivated shares be updated very quickly in Box Drive to avoid that behavior please?4 votes -

Limit the use of specific metadata templates to specific folders and specific user-owned content.
When using metadata, it is important to gain the benefits of adding and managing metadata templates, but at present, anyone with authority can use any metadata template.
You can manage your content more sophisticatedly by limiting the use of specific metadata templates to specific folders.13 votes -

Custom option to open shared link via Outlook
I would like to be able to configure detailed settings for shared links in the Box app for Outlook. I believe that being able to set passwords and expiration dates for open links directly from Outlook would provide an even smoother sharing experience.

Optional functionality when creating “shared links” directly from “box drive”
When creating a “shared link” directly from a “box drive”, there is no ability to set an expiration date or password. It would be desirable to be able to set them for the purpose of preventing the creation of open links from reducing the level of security.

Auto sync of Email folders and attachments from Outlook in Box.
It would be nice to have two sync options to store data. 1) the current desktop system is fine and works well but ideally 2) you could have a synch to mirror Outlook email folders and attachments . In both cases the user should be allowed to select which folders would be sync'd. PLEASE HELP. !!! Our company is now moving emails over 6 months old into archive and anything over 1 year old is being deleted . Only way to save now is via box but that only helps for recreating folders on desktop and linking to box. Would…

Searching for Folders and Moving files
Ever since the platform updated, it has become very difficult to move a file to a new folder by searching the folder name. I can search for the exact name of the folder and get a whole bunch of other files that aren't even close matches to the folder name. Before the changes we had no problem finding the correct folder.
I am primarily talking about our 30 INVOICES PAID folder. This folder probably contains several hundred folders for each of the vendors that we use, with additional folders for each year. If I want to move an invoice into…

Shared Link Defaults
A way to force reset everyone to the enterprise default for shared link permission level.
+
A setting that would allow only a subset of users to have the broader level of sharing – say there is opt 1 – people in company / opt 2 people in company + invited / opt 3 people in company + invited + anyone with the linkEx. So the enterprise default for all users would be locked down to a max of option 2 (giving users opt 1 & 2 as choices) – we could allow a small subset option 3 (giving…

Have a different section/page for Shared links setting on account settings page
Right now, shared links setting is on "Sharing" tab. This has create a confusion for customer in the following scenario:
Customer recently switched from company only to open link on admin console settings. They expected that this will change the settings of all managed users, but some users still defaulted to company only link. This was because those users updated email settings before (which happens to be in the same "Sharing" tab) while the "company only" was selected in the Shared Links setting and saved as their individual setting.
