Enable Box Drive per individual User in Admin Console User Permissions
Admins can individually enable Box Sync per user under Users Permissions. I want to be able to individually enable Box Drive per user.

Sort Drive Search results by metadata
Currently you are unable to sort results in Drive Search, and you need to rely on searching based on keywords and sorting through the limited results. It would be helpful to sort on available metadata, similar to a traditional File Explorer, like name and last modified in order to better find that content we are looking for.

Box Drive Accidental Deletion
Since the introduction of Box Drive end users that haven't read the documentation and skip through the walkthrough aren't used to seeing all of the files and folders.
The user without realizing, then believes that all of these files and folders either aren't needed or are taking up physical space on their hard drive. The user then either randomly deletes select files and folder or just deletes everything within Box Drive. A solution is needed to either further alert or prevent this. One other possible solution is to create a process to fully restore all of the deletions and collaborations.

Box Drive IO performance abysmal
The performance of box drive read/write operations is sometimes a bit slow (10%) and other times abysmal.
Based on tests, scrubbing through timeline in an editing software like premiere pro is jittery whereas it is fast on onedrive which I believe does delayed sync and doesn't impact IO that much.
When unzipping a file containing numerous files and folders however the performance is so bad that it's not doable, it's in the neighborhood of 40x slower so a throughput of 140 MB/s turns into 3MB/srecommended actions: optimize IO of the mount point, providing option to turn off on the…

Box Drive Backup Controls
Please allow me to use Box Drive to backup files to the cloud (not sync them). Allow me to designate folders where I add files that are (a) added to the cloud and (b) removed from local storage. Allow me to choose when the removal happens (e.g. every night at midnight).

can_view_path not reflecting in Box Drive
We are utilizing the canviewpath api so whenever a folder is collaborated on this feature gets enabled. So rather than a user seeing just the folder they were collaborated in on their root level, they get to see the entire folder structure of where that folder exists. When this feature gets enabled it reflects immediately in the Box web app and the Box mobile app, but not in Box Drive. Sometimes it can takes days before the change takes effect. Boolean search term support for web and Drive
Would love to have boolean search support for both the web and Drive. If anything, an functional wildcard would be extremely useful.

Offer preview of images for Box Drive or Box Sync.
As a designer, when working on a publication, it would be helpful to be able to have a preview of images saved in Box for quicker identification directly from the Desktop Box Drive. Right now, we have to preview with Finder, which is an additional step and makes the process cumbersome. Thank you for your consideration.

I would like shortcut files created on Box Drive to be reflected on Box Web as well.
I am aware that shortcut files (.lnk) created in Box Drive (on Explorer) are ignored as a file type and cannot be synchronized.
However, in my work, I use Box Drive a lot and sometimes create shortcuts, but I can't share them because they are not synced, and they are deleted when I log out of the system.
I feel this kind of specification is very inconvenient.

Box Drive(エクスプローラー上)で作成したショートカットファイル(.lnk)は、
無視されるファイルの種類として対象となっており同期が出来ないことは認識してます。
しかしながら業務上、Box Driveの利用が多くショートカットの作成することがありますが、
同期されないことで共有もできず、またログアウトしたことで削除されてしまう。
このような仕様だと大変不便に感じてます。

View in Box Drive from Box.com
Our team primarily uses Box Drive. When we send Box.com links around, it is very cumbersome to then have to navigate to the file in Box Drive if you need to use Box Drive to access it.
A button should be added to the web version of Box.com to "View in Box Drive" which would then launch the Finder (Mac) or Explorer (Windows) location of that file in Box Drive.

We want to restore a file by ourselves in Box Drive, when our accidentally move/delete it.
When using Box Drive, we often move/delete file(s) by mistake!
We want easily check the history of actions taken to moved/deleted contents, in order to easily restore it to its original location in case of a mistake.

Migration of files larger than 10MB from Google Drive
As it stands, we are unable to migrate content from Google Drive due with there being a HARD limit of 10MB as the max file size.
Google have a workaround which is outlined here - (1) https://stackoverflow.com/questions/55274737/is-there-any-way-download-bigger-than-10mb-documents-using-google-drive-api#:~:text=1-,This%20is%20answered,-in%20this%20question and here (2) https://developers.google.com/drive/api/v3/reference/files/getThis would mean changing the Shuttle tooling so that Instead of using the Drive API Files:Export method, you can use Files: get (2) with fields = exportLinks.
3 votesThe limit on exporting Google files larger than 10MB is imposed by Google. We have reviewed the various available APIs and workarounds, but none of them produced a viable result. They all have other limitations that make them unsuitable for migration.
We will continue to monitor as Google continues to evolve and adapt its platform, and will look to increase this when or if it becomes viable.

Box Drive should copy by default on macOS
As described at https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/4407737091219-Using-Box-Drive-on-macOS-File-Provider-Extension-FPE-mode
a change when moving to newer Box Drive, or upgrading to Monterey, results in the serious change of drag and drop is now a move instead of a copy.
If a user ever accidentally drags a file to their local drive, it takes it out of Box, and trashes the original, it eliminates the previous object ID for the file, it trashes all prior versions of the file.
This simple mistake can break every link that a company may have for a particular object in documents, bookmarks, etc. Or, if the user doesn't realize they'd moved…

Prevent users from adding content to the root level in Box Drive
Our enterprise is set to prevent users from being able to create folders at the root level. This functionality works great in Box cloud app. However the user is able to add content at the root level in Box Drive. This causes sync errors as Box Drive cannot sync to a root level folder in the app.
Can you consider preventing users from doing this in Box Drive so it matches how it works in Box browser view.

Box Drive and Microsoft Apps like Photos to be able to "save as" back to Box drive.
Users get a low memory error when attempting to "Save As" back to Box Drive. This is a Box Support known issue. Currently users are saving to the desktop and then moving back into Box Drive.

BoxSign request from Box Drive
It would be nice to send a box sign document straight from Box Drive instead of logging into the web app and doing it from there. We mostly use the Box drive in our company.
