View Owner/Creator of Files in Box Drive
We would like the ability to display accurate information about the Owner/creator of files within Box Drive for Windows. The Owner column in Windows was used prior to our migration to Box to show who originally created the file for a folder all in a single glance. Although Box.com shows the upload history of individual files, it's a manual process of viewing each file-- a pain point-- compared to the table view of File Explorer with the Owner column displaying. Sheild > [Download and Print Restriction], if "For Box Desktop" is enabled, the Office co-editing function should be available via a browser.
We have applied Box Shield's [Download and Print Restriction] to "For Box Desktop" and [Microsoft Office Coauthoring Basics] via browser is also disabled.

Similarly, Office co-editing functions that are opened via a browser should not be restricted, since access in BoxEdit is not restricted.
Errors in opening the file in the browser cause confusion for the user.

User activity report - for file move/ copy event, display full path to show where the files are originated from
For file move/ copy activity on User Activity report. "Detail" tab would show the name of the parent folder on where the file is from. "Parent Folder" tab would show the full path of destination.
If parent folder could also display in full path, intuitively it is easier for the admin to understand where the files are moved from and to.

Show only files that are not in the "Collections".
There are so many files on "All files". In such a situation, it is very useful to be able to show only the files that are not in the "Collection".

ABILITY TO CLOSE THE ACTIVITY SIDEBAR ON FILES!!!!!!
GET RID OF THE ACTIVTY BOX ON FILES.
OF OUR ~10,000 FILES ONLY 6 HAVE COMMENTS, SO WHY SHOULD WE ALWAYS HAVE TO HAVE IT OPEN.
WHEN USING TWO OPEN WINDOWS SIDE BY SIDE, IT IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO USE BOX BECAUSE HALF OF THAT WINDO W IS OVERTAKEN BY THE ACTIVITY SIDEBAR.

Drag and drop files or use file ID or folder ID
When you want to add single files or folders, it would be great to be able to add them simply using their IDs or dragging them from another Box window

Open CSV files with Google Sheet (from Box WebApp/Preview)
As of today, only file with .gdoc, .gslide, .gsheet, .docx, .pptx, .xlsc extensions can be "Opened With" Google workspace apps from the Box WebApp preview.
This request is to add support for .csv files, so they can also be opened with Google Sheet.

Allow 'show folder' button when multiple items are moved/copied
Multiple items are always moved/copied to the same location, therefore a user should be able to navigate to where those items were moved as you can with single file moves/copies.

need to edit files but not change folder nae
I need the ability to give users permissions so that they can upload files, edit files, delete files but not be able to change the folder name that those files are in. I'm going to use Skysync to move files there and the process will break if someone changes the folder name. Right now i don't think i can do this.

Ability to open password protected files from mobile devices
Until a few weeks ago, password protected files could be opened through the mobile app from a mobile device. Now the attempt to open a password protected file results in an error of "Decryption failed. (null). Password protected files cannot be opened from mobile device from m.box.com or www.box.com either (error is different). Seems to defeat purpose of cloud based storage since so many users depend on a mobile device to open view files from Box storage.

"Show File Location" for Files Currently Uploading Through File Explorer/Finder
At this time, Box Drive only lists the File Name when checking the "Transfers" menu of synchronizing items. No indication is given as to where this syncing is taking place. The User is forced to memorize the location of an upload/download until it has completed.
I'm currently experiencing an issue where many large files (Gigabytes) are forever uploading after an unknown error restarts the upload upon completion. The only solution I've been given is to Log Out, thus deleting my Terabytes of Available Offline files. "UnsynchronizedFiles" in AppData proves to be unhelpful with certain errors.

Provide an option to sync files with names beginning with '.'
Box sync / box drive needs to provide an option or a setting that will enable files whose names begin with '.' to be sync'ed.
Reason: I would like to be able to use Box Drive as storage for projects that I manage via Eclipse and GIT. However there are files and directories named .git and .project that currently box drive does not sync, which makes using my box drive as storage for such things impossible.3 votes -
Ability to move my collection files up and down
It would be nice if we were able to move saved files in the collections or favorites... Some files I use often are way down since I have a long list of flies I use from time to time.

Capability to finalize files
It would be useful if it's possible to "finalize" files. Means some persons work on a file together until it is finalized and then prevent any further modification on the file. There is the Lock function, but then the person who locked the file, could still unlock it.

Download all versions of a single file at once
If a file has multiple versions, it would be great to be able to download all these versions at once in a single Zip file.
For exemple, if I have a Word file named "test.docx" with 247 versions of it, you would be able to download a single file named "test.zip" containing 247 Word files, named "test(1).docx", "test(2).docx", …, "test(247).docx".

Ability to add reminder notification function for folders and files
I want you to apply the remind notification function for folders and files
Currently Box Relay cannot send reminders for folders and files.
I want you to apply the function to send notifications with a custom date and interval for each folder and file.
With this function, it is possible to prevent oversight of work that has a deadline, and it is possible to carry out work efficiently.フォルダやファイルに対してのリマインド通知機能を適用して欲しい

Make it more obvious that there are multiple pages of documents
Lists of files and folders may continue onto more than one page. Make the "2 of 2" at the bottom of the list very large and explicitly add a "See more" label next to the pagination. It is far too easy to not notice that there is more than one page of files, which leads to quality isssues.

Server side un-zipping of files
Some teams share very large (multi-GB) zip files and a separate team members need to see the contents of these zips.
Having the full team wait for Box Edit Open with Compressed (zip file) option or using Box Sync are our only workarounds today and not time or network efficient for users.
