   We want a way to get the user/group that perfectly matches the texts I entered displayed at the top.

   We do not have current plans to implement this type of functionality. It may be something we could look at via Device Trust.

3. "Virtual Documents" / Groupings of documents that together form one master document

   Box should have the ability to get documents together in a collection. This collection should then be versionable, regardless of the versions of the documents.

   Thinks a personal dossier. Some documents might update a couple of time, before I declare the whole dossier as a new version.

   Tools like documentum have a concept of virtual documents. My opinion to those implementation is that they are really bad from a user perspective. Therefore we should do it better.

   Need to have the ability to share links with "Invited people" in organization and to external people in named specific domain.

   We have a need to keep folder collaboration available to only a specific group of internal users but we would like to be able to have the ability to share files or folders with external collaborators in specific domains. Almost like another level of the "Invited People" type of link. Can this be considered as an enhancement?

   The headquarters IT department wants to automate the monthly task of issuing invoices for system usage fees to the group’s local subsidiaries.

   [Customer Needs]
   They want to implement the following workflow as a web-based solution without custom development.

   1. Enter invoice data per subsidiary via Forms
   2. Generate the invoice with Doc Gen
   3. Send a signature request to the manager via Box Sign
   4. After the manager signs, move the document to the shared folder with the local subsidiary

   At present, this could be achieved by using the Doc Gen API, but that would require application development, which is a significant hurdle for the customer.

   If the above can be done on the web without custom development, they believe it could be reused in other scenarios and accelerate broader business process automation.

7. Sync Box to an external hard drive

   This should go without saying, but internal hard disks are far too small for cloud storage to sync, especially when using the cloud storage for large files such as video editing. We have several Terabytes of data on ours that we access all the time, as a group of editors. It's an absolute dealbreaker that we're forced to use the default location of the local drive to sync files using Box Desktop, and we would like the option of choosing an external hard drive or even a secondary internal drive to sync to. Dropbox, iCloud, OneDrive, and Google Drive all have these options, albeit some are quite complicated to activate, but we're already settled on Box here so we'd like to not have to move to one of those to continue service.

   In some cases, students may want to make it inaccessible and only faculty and staff can see it,
   so if you can customize the definition of the shared link by specifying it in the domain, you can reduce the man-hours for invitations and protect information.

10. Date-based recurring workflow triggers

    Relay is great for workflows that occur because a human remembered to perform an action, but we run into issues if the human in question does not remember to start their part. For example, we have a workflow that starts with a staff member downloading a vendor invoice each month, auditing it, then uploading it to our accounting team. That starts a workflow where the accounting team reviews and approves for payment, then an auditor confirms the approval, and the payment is funded. Well, it all falls apart if the person who can download that invoice doesn't respond to a calendar reminder, nor do their superiors know the work wasn't done until we start to have issues with the vendor.

    We should instead be able to define a workflow that begins on the 15th of the month, and occurs monthly. The workflow emails the assigned user or group and says go get the invoice, audit, and upload. If they don't do it within a predefined number of days, a defined user or group (presumably management) should be emailed and the workflow sits there waiting.

13. Admin Messaging to all Users

    Currently, there is no way to send a mass message to all users in an enterprise. It will be great to be able to send a message about an upcoming maintenance or upcoming feature users can look forward to or certain changes that may be coming directly from Box.

    I needed to send a message to our users a few weeks ago when we needed to disable SSO in order to perform some maintenance with Recommend and I had no options. I used a Box group we add all our users to, but there is no HTML formatting so the message looked funky.

    I needed to send a training reminder to our Box users last week and I had to export the users and then paste all the emails into Outlook in order to avoid the message being jumbled all on one line with group messaging.

    It would be great if there was an option to type up a message (html supported) that can be sent to users. If possible to add features to that where the admin can decide who the audience would be all users, admins, users with certain amount of space usage, etc., that would be even greater.

    This suggestion is not under consideration for the current or future roadmap. We are currently focusing on making foundational updates to the Users & Groups page to make managing users easier at scale.

14. Trigger E-mail notification for annotation comments

    Currently, Box does not send E-mail notifications when a reviewer uses Annotation tools such as Markup, Comment on Region, and Highlight and Comment options, unless our name is mentioned. It would be beneficial if Box could send E-mail notifications even when our names are not mentioned in annotations.
    While Annotations are excellent for adding comments, not receiving e-mail notifications for these comments is a drawback. Please consider implementing this feature.

15. I would like the number of managed users to be displayed in real time.

    Regarding counting managed users in Admin Console > Users & Groups, the current design has a delay of one or few hours before accurate number is reflected.
    While we can use reports to see the exact number of users, it would be better to be able to see the number immediately after adding or removing users more intuitively.

    This suggestion is not under consideration for the future roadmap. We are currently focused on improving our user interface and key flows of user management before we add features around bulk group management.

17. Organizing Shared folders. Can't rely on collaborators to do it.

    It would be very helpful if I could move shared folders into a "folder" (choose your term for some thing that would mimic a folder) that would allow me to group all shared folders together. Ideally, I would be able to create my own hierarchy within that folder to be able to organize all of the shared folders how I want vs. just having every shared folder cluttering up my Box root level. I know I can use Collections, however, Collections don't show up in Box Drive.

18. Is there a way to make comments on MBox folders private/directed toward specific individuals in an MBox group without seen by others?

    I am part of a team that uses MBox to securely upload and view videos of infants who are identified at risk of adverse neurodevelopmental conditions to conduct a standardized assessment on each infant. Typically, when team members upload videos of their patients, we have to send multiple emails in order to a) notify the team that a new video has been uploaded and b) respond to the individual who uploaded the video to offer feedback/scoring. Is there a way to make the MBox comments privatized in order to reduce a bias effect on scoring the videos (and minimize the number of emails we have to send)?

19. Allow api.box.com in Box Connectors for HTTPS Request steps in Automate workflows

    Please allow the HTTPS Request step in Box Automate to make requests to the Box API (api.box.com).

    There are many things not currently supported natively by Box Automate steps which could be solved if the HTTPS Request step/outcome were allowed to consume the Box API.

    For example:
    - generate Box access tokens
    - get file EXIF data from Box representations API
    - lock files
    - create shared links
    - get number of files in a folder
    - get file path
    - create shared link passwords
    - applying metadata cascade policies
    - metadata extraction on a group of files (rather than just one file at a time)

    Please allow the HTTPS Request step in Box Automate to make requests to the Box API (api.box.com).
