Add warning/prompt when moving your files to shared directory
It is possible to lose ownership of your own files by inadvertently moving them to a folder owned by a collaborator. This issue can be prevented by adding a warning or prompt before moving the file if the ownership of the file will be affected by the move.

Device Trust Whitelisting
Provide ability to whitelist devices while Device Trust is enabled. We would like to enable Device Trust requiring both Domain and Certificate. But we also have lab hosts that are not domain members or have issued certificates. We would like to be able to allow hosts not meeting the Device Trust settings to login.

Comparing Saved Versions
Box automatically saves versions of documents, but no one in my company can use this feature because there's no way to compare versions of these document (i.e. run redlines).
Example: If I share a Word document with a client and they make revisions, I can see a new version was saved but I have no idea what they changed.
The automatic version saving is an OK tool if I'm the only one using the document, but it's not effective for multiple drafters.

New folder name field not on by default
When you create a new folder the text box for the name field is not enabled by default, it used to be, now you have to click into it to begin typing. A minor thing but definitely a convenience.

Tasks in relay are owned by Relay owner rather than workflow initiator
Currently tasks have owner and assignee. The owner is always relay owner, who gets notifications when there are any changes to the task which may not be ideal.
Allow for an option to have the task owner be the workflow initiator instead.

Make all "Get link" modals copy the link to the user's clipbaord
In the Box UI, often when you click on "Get link" it not only shows you the link in a modal, but also automatically copies it to your clipboard. This is really helpful, as it saves the user an extra step.
However, this doesn't happen always. Sometimes when you get the share a link modal it just presents you with the URL, but you then have to manually copy this to your clipboard.So, it would be great if you applied the "automatically-copy-to-clipboard" pattern across all "Get link" scenarios throughout the Box UI.

Add progress bar on permissions change operation status
When I make changes to permissions for a large, shared folder, it would be intuitive if a progress bar was displayed as to how long the permissions change will take in the background, rather than having to "wait in the blind" and keep guessing as to when the change will fully propagate to the entire folder structure. Shocked that this doesn't already exist and why permissions changes aren't immediate, for that matter.

I can not do full text search on my folder. Does it take a little bit time to be ready to search? Or double bytes character is not supported?

external users become managed users
I am trying to include external collaborators that have an email from my company, but Box counts the as internal users. How can I avoid this problem?

Add image/file preview function via Mac QuickLook feature/Ability to move Box folder to an external drive
As creative professionals, my colleague and I intended to use Box to share/collaborate. Disappointed to learn that we cannot use Apple's QuickLook feature to quickly peruse our large image libraries nor can we preview documents (Word, Excel, PPT, PDF, etc). This is a feature every creative uses because it enables us to quickly get to what we need without having to open up countless files which takes a lot of time. I often move things to a particular folder over and over again. It sure would be nice to see my Favorites in the Move/Copy window!

I want the new Collections to all stay open, unless I close them
I don't want the other Collections to automatically toggle closed on the sidebar when I choose another one. I want the choice to close it.

Retention policy should be able to remove folders in addition to files.
Currently the governance retention policy only delete files. We are using the integration with Oracle NetSuite and as such we have a folder that then gets a folder setup for each Case as we are sending and/or receiving data from customers via the Case we have with them. The policy is set to get data for 30 days. The files are getting removed, however, the folders still exist. This makes it challenging when you look from the Box web interface. It would be nice to have the ability to set folders to remove if they are empty.

Custom app to pull Access Stats on files/folders without admin privileges
Goal: Obtain access statistics on files/folders via custom app with no admin privileges
We have an enterprise app that manages one of our Box folders - i.e. the app is owner of the folder while most collaborators are just editors and some co-owners. Moreover, we have the 'hidden collaborators' setting enabled, which means that only owner and co-owners can view 'Access stats' in the browser. Auto-syncing folders to desktop
If a folder is shared with a person within an organization, there should be a feature that automatically syncs that folder to your desktop. Every quarter, my company creates a new folder for that quarters materials. And every quarter, we have to log into the browser and sync that new folder to our desktop. Its a simple task, but I spend a significant amount of time walking our employees through how to do it, and explaining why they cant see our new materials when they become available. Ability to differentiate where the login took place in reporting
When I run a User Activity report, it shows "Login" attempt but doesn't provide any detail about the login. I would like to be able to differentiate between login locations, e.g., how often are users logging in from mobile apps vs. web. If I could understand any sort of Sync usage, that would be useful too.

Count Box for EMM login as login in User Report
Box for EMM login is not counted as "Login" in User Statistics report since Box for EMM keep login information. It should be counted every time users login on Box for EMM.3 votes
