Problem with workbook link in Excel
we have a problem with some excel files with embedded workbook links pointing to a BOX folder.
Today, after enabling BOX for Microsoft Office (desktop) some of these links changed from:C:\users\username\BOX\Boxdrivername\Boxfoldername
To
api.box.com\userName\BOX\Boxdrivername\Boxfoldername
thus giving a file not found error when we reopen the "master" excel file.
How can we solve this problem?
Below is the procedure for reproducing the error.
Starting Configuration:
BOX drive installed: YES
Enabled Box for Microsoft Office Coauthoring: NO
In this example, the original file (test.xlsx) contains a link to a second file (linkedworkbook.xlsx) . As you can see the path is C:\users\svacchini\BOX\CIT.......

※image②.png
After enabling BOX for Microsoft Office:
※image③.png
If I open the test.xlsx all links to related workbooks change, making it impossible to update the data correctly.
※image④.png
To solve this situation, I must manually change all the data sources:
※image⑤.png
※image⑥.png
In this example, the new link is: https://api.box.com/wopi/files/1642985320322/WOPIServiceIdTPBOX2/WOPIUserId-/linkedworkbook.xlsx
Removing BOX for Microsoft Office
If I remove it and I haven't already changed the path of the linked workbooks, excel goes back to working correctly.
Of course, if I have modified any path to the new (api.box.com), I will have the same problem.
Conclusion
This operation (manually change data sources) should be done for all files that contain external data (csv, linked workbook, etc).
As you can imagine, it is not applicable on a large scale.
Do you have any alternative solutions?
Thank you and best regards

Use status field in addition to overlay in Windows File Explorer
This would allow users to see status icons for each folder and file without relying on the file/folder icon overlays that Windows limitations make problematic. OneDrive uses the status field in addition to overlays. Box should, too.

When inviting users, the permissions window is missing.
When inviting users to collaborate in Box, a window appears to select the permissions that should be granted.
However, this window protrudes from the screen and cannot be resized, and the uploader's permissions are missing.
This is handled by reducing the browser's magnification, but depending on the monitor being used, the magnification may have to be reduced to 67%-80%, which is inconvenient. Please make it possible to scroll through the authority windows to see all the cases. In Japanese:
16 votes -
Spellcheck Suggestions for Comments while previewing a document
The benefit is that when we need to add extensive comments, we could be sure that spelling is correct and prevent confusion and additional back & forth. The spellcheck suggestion can just be a simple underline text that indicates spelling errors.
As a workaround, I can make the comments in another text software, but that slows down productivity if I have to constantly switch between applications.
Please add spellcheck capability for comments!

Using the Excel Online Previewer via a shared link (without logging in)
In business, we may need to share Excel files with business partners who do not have Box accounts via open links.
Unfortunately, if they preview an Excel file from an open link without logging in to Box, the contents are displayed in Box Content Preview, which can easily cause display errors and split the file into multiple pages.Currently, even if an open link is shared with a business partner, it is difficult to check the exact content in the Box preview, which makes it a hassle for them to download the documents.

If the owner of a Box Relay workflow is a “Deleted User”, there needs to be a way to transfer the owner to an administrator.
After creating a workflow in Box Relay, there are cases where the owner of the workflow is deleted by a script, etc., but the owner remains as a “Deleted User”.
Need the ability to take over the workflow of a Box Relay that has become a “deleted user” to an administrator or other user.
Reason:
This is because the workflow creator still has the owner rights, and even the system administrator cannot delete the workflow, so it remains as trash.

When creating a password for a Share Link I'd like Box to generate and display a password that I can either choose to use or set my own.
As a user I create quite a few Share Links and I almost always set a password for each link. There are times where it would be really helpful if Box would automatically generate and display random password giving me the option to use the Box generated password or allow me to create my own password. In each case it would be helpful if the password field would include an "eye" icon that users can click to display the password they choose to use.

Can you make the My Collections options always be fully displayed?
Having to click to drop down each section of my collections takes too much time and slows me down. Can you change the drop-down to an option, so I can collapse my collection when I want, and otherwise have all my collection items displayed on the sidebar at one time?

Remember previously used settings for a signature request preparation
Would like the ability to change the default settings so it sends automatic reminders all the time instead of having to select for every envelope.
Also, if you change the size of a signature field in an envelope it should stay that size for the entire envelope.
Would also like to be able to see which document pages already have a signature field in the side bar so I don't need to scroll through the entire document to check.

Enhancement of the Custom Terms of Service Feature
Could we enable users to click the Agree button only after scrolling to the end of the terms?
We are setting up Custom Terms of Service.
Users need to scroll through the displayed Custom Terms of Service to review the content. (In many cases, terms can be lengthy with other companies as well.)
However, under the current Box UI, users can click the Agree button without reviewing the terms in their entirety.
We would like users to read the terms completely before clicking the Agree button.
Therefore, could you please improve the UI so that the Agree button is activated only after scrolling to the end of the Custom Terms of Service?
The setting location for this feature is as follows:

Enhancement of the "enable exposed password detection" feature
Could we enable the "enable exposed password detection" setting for internal users as well?
Currently, this setting is only available for external users.
We would like to have control over internal Box content if any of the internal users' passwords are detected as compromised.
The setting location for "enable exposed password detection" is as follows:
Enterprise Settings > Security > Password Requirements > External Collaborator

support editing of Open Office .odt, ods, and .odp files in Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides
I'm asking for Box not to block certain file compatibility functionality that is aIready within Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets, when not used through Box. I would like to edit Open Office Formats .odt , .odp, and .ods files, preferably from with Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets respectively. MS Word does not support Open Office formats, otherwise I would request that as well. Somehow, Box is blocking Google Sheets and Docs from opening their Open Office file formats (.ods, .odp and .odt). Normally, Google Docs can open .odt files, if Box is not "in the way". See attached images of Google Docs successfully opening a .odt file, for example. I don't think that being able to edit files from Box preview, in general, for any type of file, is a good idea, based on other how other Box preview edit functionality has turned out. I hope this helps clarify what I'm looking for.
Here is a video if how an Open Office Doc file currently is handled by Box (I want to edit in Google Docs): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TyQwp9RhrzkDVVDkD08bNFtLu0V7-sEm/view?usp=sharing
Here is a video if how it should work: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DwNhYpgc28k1sD5-FVdj-ST4W2TcYhM2/view?usp=sharing
Thank you!

Allowing BOX to mount a mapped network drive on local system
The Vast majority of competitors of BOX allow for a mounted virtual drive . BOX would be more useful if you can assign certain BOX folders to a mapped network drive

Download box appears which is deceiving making people think they have to login
We mostly share documents with external clients. When they access the document and press download, a box shows up (attached) that says the document is dowloading but also says "in the meantime login to your box account...." This is very deceiving and confusing to clients as they think they have to login and don't understand they can just close the box. There has to be a way to eliminate that, change the verbiage or customize this. We work with elderly clients and this continues to be a challenge.

Expose technical metadata
In order to find e.g. the largest version of a media file or to define if the technical parameters of a media file are sufficient for further processing, the exposure of technical meta data should be provided by Box in a standard meta data template which should automatically apply to any file stored in Box.
Technical metadata are:
- for page-based documents like PDF, MS Office, Indesign: number of pages, format/orientation, size in mm h/w
- for bitmap image files (tif, jpg, png, bmp, gif, ...): no of pixels h/w, size in mm w/h, resolution, color space, embedded color profile, color depth in Bit, created with software
- for vector and CAD images (eps, svg, ai, dxf, dwg, etc.): size of the workspace in mm w/h, color space, created with software, color depth in Bit, created with software
- for 3D format (c4d, etc.): size in mm h/w/d, created with software, color space, color depth in Bit
- for videos (mp4, avi, vob, aep, prproj, etc.) : duration in h:m:s, color space, dimensions in px w/h, created with software

BoxDrive Moving files between folders with different owners using
BoxDrive When using to move files in different folders with different folder owners, the file owner cannot be changed and an error occurs. This can be done using the Box browser, so I would like to be able to do the same with BoxDrive.
