Display folder path under file/folder listings
For example, for a folder "Project 1" several levels down in the Box hierarchy, display the folder path under the folder name:
Project 1
All Files > Level 1 > Level 2 > Level 3 > Level 4The folder path would be in a font smaller than the folder name and a slightly muted colour compared to the folder name

Box Content Preview: Allow File to be Renamed in Preview UI Element
Files can only be renamed in the Content Explorer, requiring navigation away from the file to rename while in the Content Preview element. The request is to allow files to be renamed while previewing the file.

File size upload limit - Option to choose any file size from 1MB - 150GB
I am suggesting a file size upload limitation setting to be lower than the existing 2GB.
The reason why is because some companies who are hyper sensitive to malware and virus issues want the ability to deep scan EVERY file uploaded into Box. Currently, deep scan is only able to scan files that are less than 200MB in size. This is a gap that can be solved by reducing the maximum file upload size into Box to 200MB.

Match on File Folder Names, not Contents
When I search documents looking for the document TITLE only, files with the text inside the document also show up in search. Can a title only pulldown be added?

Request for enlargement ratio when browsing files
- Thin line in a file disappear, when we reduce file's rate of magnification and display whole file on screen. So, we would like you to consider measures.
- When the rate of magnification bar and title bar overlie on the file,we can’t see the characters and figures in the file. So, we need a function to erase these bars temporarily.
- The default file's rate of magnification is 200%, when we browse a file. The file's rate of magnification can change in 25% increments now. But our customer would like to change more finely.(in 1% increments,if it’s possible.)

Move the "Select" checkbox to be near the filename
(Box web app) I used to be able to select multiple files to move or download by clicking near the filename in Box. I now have to use the "Select" checkbox, which is far to the right of the filename, and I select the wrong files because of this. Please move the "Select" checkbox immediately to the left of the filename to easily select multiple files, or return previous functionality to select multiple files by clicking on them.

Integration with Azure Information Protection
Azure Information Protection allows for the classification of files/content. I would like for Box to recognize the Azure IP Classification that has been applied to any given file once uploaded to Box and have a corresponding Box Classification policy applied to the file.

Ability to set default application for Box Edit opening .md file
Sometimes Box Edit opening files in the program not set as default on MacOS
If a user installs Xcode on Mac OS, the user cannot open .md files with default application which set on Mac OS. The user would like to open .md file with Atom.app but it opened with Xcode.
User can do nothing to change the application. it is the OS that it's selecting XCode when it's installed.4 votes -
Improve/Remove alert while editing files through Office Online
As you know, following message comes when I edit file by Office Online.

"XXXXX.xlsx" will open in Microsoft Excel Online in a new browser window.Changes made in Microsoft Excel Online will automatically be saved back to Box.

Box Drive performance improvement request when using VDI
The VDI is experiencing operational delays when using Box Drive, and this is affecting our business.
It was found that the delay was caused by a large number of disk I/Os.
We checked the Box Drive logs and found that Box was reflecting 1,000 to 2,000 operation logs on Box to each user every morning.
Since the above operations occur simultaneously for all users, there is a large load on the infrastructure.
Please improve performance.(Japanese)
「VDI利用時におけるBox Drive性能改善リクエスト」Box Drive利用時のVDIで操作遅延が発生しており業務影響が出ております。
操作遅延の要因としては多数のディスクI/Oによって発生していることが判明しており、
Box Driveのログを確認した所、Boxから毎朝1000～2000のBox上での操作ログを各ユーザーへ反映されていました。
上記操作が全てのユーザで同時に発生する為、インフラストラクチャに大きな負荷が掛かっています。

Lack of clear notification of whether BoxDrive is syncing or not
There should be a clear icon in the Finder AND in the BoxDrive top menu icon clearly showing whether syncing is on or off. Support told em the only way to know if files are correctly syncing is to look at the files in the Finder and if there are NO ICONS then it's working. The lack of something is not a reasonable way to identify is something is working correctly. PLEASE add a symbol that shows the synching status that is easy to confirm!!

Salesforce Flow Action to Upload by ContentDocument.ID
Provide a new Flow Action to support uploading EmailToCase Files and other ContentDocuments to Box. Ideally this would support Files larger than 10-12mb in size.

Should be able to share files with non Box users and they don't have to login/create a Box account.
Why can non Box users not edit files without creating a log in. Is there a way that this can be done? I feel like they had this feature before when if you shared the file with the correct permissions folks could just open, edit the file and the changes would be saved.

Allow selecting multiple folders in Folders & Files Report, instead of one folder
When reports are required for tens or hundreds of separate folders, it'd be unrealistic to run reports one by one separately.

Request to have webapp type filters when searching Box Drive on the desktop.
We would like to transition to Box Drive and having search filters in the Box Drive search bar would be helpful in finding files and as a stopgap for OS search.

Request for Improvement of BOX Drive Proxy Server Authentication Response Function
BOX Drive is not working properly in our environment.
We recognize that BOX Drive is designed to read Pac files, but the communication is succeeding up to the proxy server according to the Pac file.
However, it seems that it is not able to respond to the authentication response of the proxy server.As a result, when we open files in our Office products (Excel and Word) that cannot be opened in a web browser, we have to download the file once from
BOX.

Metadata Inheritance (Folder-Level) via Cascade Policies
Allow metadata fields to be applied at the folder level, with files in that folder (or added to that folder) automatically inheriting the metadata fields AND potentially the values associated with those fields.

Block Google Drive and enable all Google Workplace files to auto roll-in to Box instead. This gets us a step closer to the vision of Box as the single place for all content.
Today, even though I have Box, employees can still save into Google Drive, which creates security, governance, privacy, and other risks.
