1. Use Box Group as a Signer of Box Sign and only one user from it needs to sign

   I would like to use Box Group as a signer of Box Sign.
   In addition, I only need one user from that group to sign it.

   The use case we have is when someone from a specific department needs to approve the document but it can be approved by anyone from that department.
   This is something we can do with Task now and I would like to do it with Sign too.

   Refer to existing recipient group feature however they do not work with Box Group. Read more in Box Sign support article.

2. Matching display with Box Notes shared link settings

   If the Admin Console [Shared Link Permissions] is set to type "File: Can view and download" and type "Box Notes: Can view and edit",
   Depending on where you create a Box Notes shared link, the settings and permissions displayed do not match.This is the current specification.

   Created a shared link from a file list: The permission "View only" is displayed because the type is "File", but it can be edited.
   Creating a shared link from the Box Notes share button: The "Can edit" permission is displayed to refer to the type "Box Notes".

   We feel that this specification causes confusion for users by displaying different permissions on the folder screen and on the Box Notes file.
   In fact, some of our users were confused by the display inconsistency, thinking that Box Notes could only be viewed, when in fact they could be shared in an editable state.
   Experiences like this give users the impression that Box is difficult to use.
   We are promoting the use of Box, and this inconsistent UI goes against that effort.
   From a security standpoint, it is not desirable for the actual settings to differ from what is displayed.
   It is also possible that the content may remain editable without the user intending to do so.

   We would like to ask you to unify the display of shared link permissions on file lists and Box Notes files so that they match the actual permission settings, allowing users to understand accurate information.
   We believe that this improvement will improve the user experience and contribute to more efficient operations.

3. Allow One-Off Reissue of Custom Terms of Service in Box

   If a user ever rejects a custom terms of service, they are not able to access Box or attempt to connect via the collaboration link. It seems that they could try again in 30 days (we have not tested, this is way too long to wait for a time-out).

   The only resolution to allow the single external collaborator to "reset" the ToS and accept them to sign in is to disable and re-enable custom ToS for all users.

   This is a major problem - we should not have to revalidate all ToS for EVERY user to resolve an issue for one user. Resetting the ToS seems to have booted all users out of Box Drive until they re-accept the terms.

   This is a serious disruption for an error that's pretty easy to make. Please allow a way for users who have declined ToS to try again if they've erroneously declined WITHOUT requiring a system wide change for all users.

   If a user ever rejects a custom terms of service, they are not able to access Box or attempt to connect via the collaboration link. It seems that they could try again in 30 days (we have not tested, this is way too long to wait for a time-out).

4. Limit the amount of data a user can delete

   There have been repeated incidents where users accidentally delete large amounts of data from Box Drive. Each time, administrators are required to restore the data.
   However, administrators cannot restore the data until the deletion process is fully completed, and even then, the restoration takes as much time as the deletion, which disrupts business operations.

   We would like to set an upper limit on the amount of data that users (other than Box administrators and co-administrators) can delete at one time, in order to prevent users from accidentally deleting large amounts of data.

   Would like to have a customizable box that an end user could check that they have read when first using Box AI - this box could point to our AI governance and terms. Ideally, they check that they've read the disclaimer and can then us Box AI against their files.

6. Slack: Sync 'Comments' on Files Between Box & Slack

   Right now, when using the Box + Slack integration, Slack imports a 'pointer' to a Box file (when a shared link is posted), and then keeps that file's search index updates based on changes that happen in Box.

   REQUEST: Extend this integration further to sync any Comments made on the file between Box and Slack.

   In Slack, I can add a Comment to the imported Box file by clicking 'add comment', and in Box I can 'add Comment' -- it'd be nice if the comment added to the file directly in Slack also synced and was added automatically as a Comment on the file in Box as well.

   We understand the request, but unfortunately this is not on the near-term roadmap.

7. Box Capture File Name

   I want the file names of Box Capture pictures to be "date and time" instead of "date and sequential numbers", just like when shooting with the Box app.
   Example:
   Box Capture: "2021-01-11_001.jpg"
   Box (Take Photo or Video): "Image 2021-01-11 14.00.00.jpg"

   Currently, the file names conflict and the files become messed up order, especially when several people share a folder and take pictures.

   I would appreciate if you could improve it.

8. box sync ignore files

   Are you kindly considering adding a feature to skip / ignore certain paths (directories, files) stored on local machine from syncing? Some examples of situations where inability to exclude files from backup causes undesired issues: 1) There are programs which store temporary files among synced folders. These temporary files frequently change and are deleted on program exit, which results into frequent unnecessary synchronization and deletion of files in cloud, therefore waste of computing resources and bandwidth. 2) Specific program creates empty file "running" to indicate it's in running state. Box Sync does not sync empty file but warns user each time such program starts that it's unable to sync "running" file. In some cases I am getting multiple notification each hour. 3) Some games tend to store their data into "My Documents" folder. Those data do not need to be uploaded to cloud or to be accessible from other devices. Also, when the game is running, their frequent updates results into waste of computing power and bandwith again. 4) Some large files unable to be synced could be skipped, resulting into quicker sync time. Users should be able to choose what to sync and what not, and the possibility to exclude files or folders from syncing would greatly improve Box Sync experience!

11. Box for Outlook (OWA)

    Box for Outlook integration needs to support moving multiple emails to a box folder, currertly only one email can be filed at a time. Also you only have the option of saving the email message as an .eml which is frustrating as these file dont preview within Box Web. Are you able to have an option for .msg.
    Another great use would be able to move the email to Box rather than a save, which ultimately a copy.
    Also ability to show some box folders in Outlook and drag and drop to those folders would be a great feature.

13. Supporting Text Format in Box for Outlook

    Currently, Box for Outlook is only available in HTML format, which is the only format supported by Outlook and OWA.
    Some companies make only plain text available.
    In this case, Box for Outlook cannot be used, so please make sure that the text format is also available.

    For companies that only use OWA, Box for Outlook is a great way to share data on Box.
    This is expected to improve work efficiency.

    We are not planning to implement controls around this in Box Sync. You may consider trying Box Drive to see if that improves the resource utilization issue. Since it only uses bandwidth for content users access, it may help to improve things here.

15. Delegation Functionality in Box Sign

    Delegation – they we often send a document to an agent as delegator, who then sends it to the talent as signatory. Does this functionality exist in Box sign?

    Yes, currently a signer can reassign their request to another person/signer.

16. Support for Other Templates and Legacy File Formats

    Hi Team,

    We are looking for Box Drive and Box Web to support additional Word, Excel, and other office templates and file formats so we can save these into Box.

    Currently Box only supports a few modern formats like .docx and .xlsx for word and excel for example, but we are using several other templates and formats as you can see in the screenshot below.

    Please consider broader support for other types of files for office going forward.

17. box for slack:Image preview is not displayed in Slack Canvas

    When using the Box+Slack integration, if I paste an image into Slack Canvas, no preview is displayed, only the file name is displayed. This is different from Slack messages.
    Request:A preview of the image is displayed in Slack Canvas as well.

20. Identify files that fail to sync using Box Sync

    In my experience - Box Sync on Windows 10 - I often run into messages "N files could not be synced" - usually because a Mac user saved a file with a name Windows can't handle. If it's only one file, it tells me the name, but if it's more than one, it only shows the number. I would go into Box to rename the files - however, I cannot find any way to identify the offending one. Would love an option on Box Sync that showed the set of files that are throwing sync errors.
