  1. Box Drive doesn't support windows store apps

    When some photo which is accessed by File Explorer included BOX Drive is open by photo app of windows store app, the windows will be crashed.
    The BOX Drive has to support windows store app.

  2. Exclude file movement in Box Drive from Box shield's anomalous download detection

    When I move a folder with multiple files stored in Box Drive, Box Shield's anomalous download detection works.
    Since the purpose of the detection of anomalous download is to detect downloads that are taken out of the system, this specification is not the behavior we are looking for.
    Therefore, I would like to see Box Shield exclude moving files in Box Drive from the detection of anomalous download.

    Box Driveで複数ファイルが格納されているフォルダを移動すると、Box Shieldの「異常なダウンロード」検知が動作してしまいます。
    異常なダウンロード検知の目的は、ダウンロードによる持ち出しの検知なので、この仕様は求めている動作ではないです。
    そのため、Box Driveの移動はBox Shieldの異常なダウンロード検知の対象外にしてほしいです。

  4. Show classification of files in Box Drive

    We use Classifications to indicate restrictions on who a file can be shared with, e.g. confidential information supplied by third party that cannot be shared with other parties involved in a project. While classification is displayed within Box, there is no indication of the restriction if the file is accessed through Box Drive which could lead to unauthorized disclosure.

    Thank you for the suggestion. We currently do not have this planned on our roadmap. We will place this in our backlog as we continue evaluating ideas to improve Box Drive.

  6. can_view_path not reflecting in Box Drive

    We are utilizing the canviewpath api so whenever a folder is collaborated on this feature gets enabled. So rather than a user seeing just the folder they were collaborated in on their root level, they get to see the entire folder structure of where that folder exists. When this feature gets enabled it reflects immediately in the Box web app and the Box mobile app, but not in Box Drive. Sometimes it can takes days before the change takes effect.   7. Make Box Drive a NTFS volume

    Box Drive is currently recognized as a FAT32 "installed volume". Whenever I try to copy a file from my NTFS SSD, I get a system message telling me that some file properties cannot be copied.

    I don't know if that can cause any problem in the files content, but it surely hurts our working efficiency, since we have to do an additional click every time we need to upload a file throughBox Drive.

  8. Add separate "status" column to Box Drive application

    Box Drive has a known issue of overlay iconography sometimes not displaying after installed. This is affecting about 10% of our client installs and is an absolute headache and nightmare to resolve without registry updates.

    This is caused due to the Box Drive apps's reliance on the "Image­List_Set­Overlay­Image" function in Windows which has a hard limit of 15 values. Thus Box Drive's icons "compete" with other cloud providers' icons on priority and is totally unsustainable as you are at the mercy of how other cloud providers code their software to take precedence over others in this list (by playing…

  10. Manage Box Drive folders that sync with the Box.com - I have to uninstall Box Drive from all of my devices

    Because I cannot select which folders to sync from Box.com, I cannot use Box Drive which makes going back to One Drive extremely appealing.

    This seems like such basic functionality and it's very disappointing that Box didn't provide it - and actually took it away when moving from Box Sync.

    My idea is for Box Drive to provide the same basic functionality that Box Sync had and One Drive and Google Drive and Dropbox have.

    In the user activity report, the file management "Downloads" is output.

  12. Box Drive updates should preserve Mac Finder Favorites

    I use Favorites in Finder on my Mac to mark folders that I need to access frequently. But, when Box Drive runs and update, my Favorites are all removed. I then need to take time to reestablish all of my favorites. Box Drive should preserve the links in Favorites. This is especially true since Box Drive does not show the favorites marked it the Box webapp.

  13. Folder Setting Limitations - Box Drive

    We have folders for each office where they store their active and archived (old) jobs. These folders can can contain many hundreds of job folders (sub folders to the parent folder) representing hundreds of GB and even over TB in some cases of data. It is way too easy for users to simply check ‘mark for offline’ in Box drive or attempt to sync the folder in Box Sync.

  14. Box Drive and Microsoft Apps like Photos to be able to "save as" back to Box drive.

    Users get a low memory error when attempting to "Save As" back to Box Drive. This is a Box Support known issue. Currently users are saving to the desktop and then moving back into Box Drive.

  15. Offer preview of images for Box Drive or Box Sync.

    As a designer, when working on a publication, it would be helpful to be able to have a preview of images saved in Box for quicker identification directly from the Desktop Box Drive. Right now, we have to preview with Finder, which is an additional step and makes the process cumbersome. Thank you for your consideration.

  16. Expose Favorites in Box Drive

    Favorites are becoming more and more popular now that they're better exposed (in the left rail) in the new Web App.

    As such, users expect to access their Favorites list regardless of which endpoint they're using - webapp (supported), mobile (supported), or desktop (not supported via Sync or Box for Desktop).

    REQUEST: Add a 'Favorites' view to Box for Desktop content (somehow) that allows the user to view only their Favorites (files + folders) just like they do in the webapp.

  17. Ability to rearrange the image files displayed on Box Drive and Box Web

    For image files (photos), such as jpg and png files, there is a Date taken item in the "Properties".
    On Box Drive and Box Web, We wants to organize the photos by descending or ascending order based on the Date taken.
    However, since [Box Drive] and [Box Web] do not have the Date taken attribute, files cannot be organized by the date and time they were taken.
    Thus, we would like you to add the Date taken attribute.

  19. Box drive hide folders

    With Box Drive ALL my folders are displayed on my desktop. While I like having access to them all without having to sync them, I would like a feature which would allow me to hide the folders I am not currently using. The Box Sync environment, which only showed those folders that I was currently working in (and had synced), was a much more efficient solution.

  20. Directly link between box drive and box for outlook & box notes

    Currently, Box for outlook can only access to box online which requires authentication each time which is not a smart process. Could we have box for outlook link directly to box drive to save and upload files instead? This will be more efficient for box drive users.

    Also have the same issue with box notes. This cannot be accessed directly to/from box drive.
