  1. Alert admin when users is reaching their allocated storage cap

    When allocating a maximum storage amount to a given user it would be very useful to as an admin receive an email notification when the user is approaching their limit so that the admin can proactively increase the limit to decrease any disruption to their workflows.

  3. "inactive" or "archive" flag maps to less-expensive storage

    FEATURE IDEA:
    Provide ability to flag/classify files and folders in a way that allows Box to move them to a less-expensive storage offering on the back-end. This can be referred to as an "inactive" or "archive" flag.

    BENEFITS & BACKGROUND

    During the Box Higher Education Community Monthly Open Discussion on January 11th, an idea to submit to Box Pulse was formed, and seemed to have support from all in attendance (25-30 institutions).

  4. Send a notification regarding document lock/unlock timing

    For teams that are actively working on a single document, the lock/unlock feature is nice to prevent version control issues. However, it would be nice to have additional notifications are this feature, namely:

    • "Notify me when this file is unlocked"
    • "Warn me [the person who locked the file] when the file lock is about to expire"
    • "Warn me [the person who locked the file] if I've left the file locked AND inactive for more than X minutes"

    Etc.

  6. Don't notify user when storage is only 70% full

    Got this notification today "Yikes, your storage is almost full. Get unlimited storage and advanced business tools to securely safeguard all your personal data."
    Went to my account details and saw I'm only 31Gb out of 50gb.
    A bit dramatic!

  7. Storage Counter Display for End Users

    Display a storage display tracker from the All Files page for Enterprise Plans.

    Currently, if an organization has issued a storage limit cap, end users need to navigate to their account settings to see how much storage they have remaining. This request is to display the storage tracker directly from the All Files page (ex. - 15 GB out of 250 GB used). This will help users proactively review how much storage they have remaining

  8. Account Storage capacity

    My company has the Business License which according to the product description has unlimited storage. Yet I see a usage gauge in my profile with a 10 GB limit. Is the storage unlimited or set at 10 G B per user.Please contact me immediately as this may be impacting production leifeasterson @cxonexus.com 631 637-2369. If there's a better way to contact Box with an issue it needs more visibility.

  9. Storage number to be just latest version

    Currently the storage number shown in the Admin Console includes all the version of each file.
    I would like to have the storage number with just the latest version of file.

  10. Show the storage used AND the storage capacity of each user (i.e. 1.5GB / 2.0GB)

    Since users do not get messages letting them know when their storage is almost full, admins can see at a glance and give manual warnings

    Notify the folder group when a new version is uploaded.
    Currently only when the first version is uploaded, a notification is sent. If version 2 is uploaded, the folder group does not get a notification.

  13. Export Users - Use standard storage metric in managed user export report

    The "Storage Use" column in the Admin Console uses various metrics (B, KB, MB, GB, etc.), which prevents them from sorting to see which users have the most storage, least storage, etc.

  14. Enhance User Details Report to indicate storage used in 'Bytes'

    Show the storage used in Bytes in User Details Report:
    When we run the user details reports from the admin console, we notice that there is users showing as owning 0 amounts of storage, however when we look at the account manually, we can see that they do own content in their accounts. The User Details Report shows storage used in MB. We need to be able to report accurate metrics on the usage of Box across our departments on storage used.

    User would like to customize the upgrade prompt when users run out of storage

    Currently it shows a prompt to upgrade to more storage, but they would like to modify the prompt based on their own internal process.

  16. Enhance error messages when storage exceeded to identify which account is over storage

    When a user uploads an item to a folder that would exceed the quota, it says "Account storage limit reached." This is misleading if the folder is owned by another user. Users ask for more quota, but it's a different account that has the problem. Please identify the folder owner of the folder that's over quota in the error message.

    This applies both to Web UI and Box Drive error messages.

  19. Error notification about Relay Workflow

    Currently there is no way to know whether the relay workflow has failed or not.
    So when there is an error in a workflow, I would like to have admins and or the workflow owners to receive a notification to inform about the error.

  20. Create a Task to provide a notification

    Create a Task to provide a notification to a user. For example if a document has been moved, this Task would create a notification to Bob that the file has been moved. He shouldn't have to do anything with this or approve or complete it, just be notified.
