Support Multi-Select for Granting Folder Access to Groups (via Folder Picker on Groups Page of Admin Console)
Admins must currently add folders to Groups in the Admin Console on a one-by-one basis, so if an admin has 10 folders to add, that's a lot of clicks.
You could simplify this process by supporting multi-select in the folder picker that's provided when editing a Group from the Admin Console.

We are currently focusing on improving the performance and user interface to manage users in the Users & Groups tab before we add enhancements to group bulk operations. We will provide an update in the next few quarters.

Make API rate limits more sophisticated, especially for large enterprises
When working with a Box Enterprise that has tens of thousands of users, scripts designed to do things like user information syncing, group syncing, or user provisioning/deprovisioning often run into real issues with the Box API rate limits.
Some calls (e.g. downloading or uploading a file) are clearly significantly more resource-intensive than others (e.g. getting a user’s aliases). The method Google has implemented for the Gmail API (see https://developers.google.com/gmail/api/v1/reference/quota) seems like a really great way to balance the need to protect the back-end systems against the need for increased performance for less-intensive calls. It would be nice if Box…

Allow Relay notifications to include manually entered email addresses instead of limiting the list to existing collaborators
Currently the Relay system will only allow notifications to be sent to existing collaborators or users. There should be a way to allow any manually entered email address to be a notification destination. This would allow for group or shared email accounts to be a notification destination. Group email addresses or shared email accounts may not exist as specific collaborators but still could be useful for notifications.

"Optimize Candidate Group Sort Order for Invite Modal Based on Exact Matches"
Improve the sort order of candidate groups on invite modal
Currently, candidate users/groups that partially match the texts I entered are displayed in the ascending order.
We want a way to get the user/group that perfectly matches the texts I entered displayed at the top.For e.g., let's say we have the 4 groups each titled "Enterprise Sales team", "Commercial Sales team", "Online Sales team", "Sales team".
With current design, when I type "Sales team" in the textbox, candidate groups are returned in the below order (every group that contains "Sales team" is returned…

409
On a 409 Name Conflict exception, the response does not contain the ID of the group in conflict, requiring the use of another API call to get the ID of the group with that name. Typically we recommend trying to find the group first, if the group is likely to have been created, but in the instance it is not, then 2 calls are, once again, necessary.
We have also seen instances where the group name search is not returning a valid result, and the logic can never find, nor create the group, causing a critical failure in the…

Retain annotations in subsequent version(s) of a document
We use annotations when a group of us is proofing and suggesting edits to a document. When we're finished, when the designer makes our edits to the document, and then uploads a new version. Unfortunately, once the new version is uploaded, unlike general comments, the annotations are gone so we can't check in our changes. It would be great if you could make it possible to view annotations from the previous version of a document. Right now, the only workaround is to avoid using annotations, or to open the previous version of the document in a separate browser window and…

We want to enable a custom app partially by specifying users/groups
A feature has been released for integrated apps that allows you to partially enable them by specifying groups or users, but we would like a similar feature for custom apps.
カスタムアプリをグループ・ユーザーを指定して部分的に有効化したい
統合アプリについて、グループ・ユーザーを指定して部分的に有効化する機能がリリースされましたが、カスタムアプリについても同様の機能が欲しいです。

Move or copy to multiple folders
I would like to be able to Move or Copy a group of files to multiple folders in one click. It seemed when you added the radio buttons, that might be possible to select multiple destinations. Alas no.

Ability to see full name of Groups and Folders in the Admin Console
When adding or reviewing groups in Box new Admin console, we are unable to see the full name of the group and it does it does not appear in alphabetical order. Same is true for the folders collaboration section. The names are cut off and you cannot scroll or hover to see the full name. Even shrinking the screen does not help. This is very problematic for security reasons as you may grant access to the wrong group or the wrong folder or create duplicates if you miss seeing an existing group or folder. And it wastes alot of…

Allow individual file sharing to groups
Currently, you can share folders with groups, but not individual files. I have a custom tutorial I'd like to share with a user group wihtout nesting it in a folder, like the "Get Started with Box" PDF file does, but there is no option for it. Optimally, I'd prefer to see an option in which we could replace the "Get Started with Box" PDF file with our own PDF tutorial that addresses our specific needs.

See full group name or folder name within admin console when assigning groups and folders to new user
Want to see full group or folder name when assigning them to new users. Sometimes shows part of it when hovering over it but based on naming conventions they need to see the full thing.

Make it easier to filter events that occurred in a particular folder (including subfolders)
Use Case:
- There's a parent folder with multiple levels of sub folders.
- This parent folder is shared out to a group or some external collabs
- Parent folder's owner wants to know how many downloads have happened from the parent folderCurrently, seems like there's two ways to do this but neither are scalable or easy to do if the folder tree is complex:
Option 1:
Run Usage Logs on all download events over the given time period
Export the report
Use Excel or some other program to filter off of the "Contained in folder" column
This requires…78 votes -
Select box reports export folder
With the new scheduled report capability, it would be useful to determine the folder where scheduled report are exported as a way to grant access to a range of users. Whilst we can now select who are the viewers for a report, this is not ideal as people change roles, and therefore a location or a Box Group would be much more convenient ways to share scheduled reports

When adding group members via the API, duplicate requests are added when the same request is made at almost the same time.
The Box representative told us that this is a rare event that occurs only when there are overlapping requests at the same time, and that there are no plans to correct the current behavior.
If multiple requests arrive within a short period of time but do not overlap in time, a 409 (Conflict) error is usually returned for all but the first request.
Therefore, it is considered to be an event that occurs only when a request is made with very short timing. For example, this is expected to occur when the same command is used to add a group…

@mentions Center
I think it would be great to have something similar to the Box Task Center but with mentions. Currently, you can only see them from the little bell icon and scrolling, but once you click on one the dropdown disappears. If it could route you to a page where you could easily manage the mentions received, that would be most helpful. I think they used to have that functionality, but it was removed a while back.

Push Notifications for @Mentions
Box push notifications on iOS are very limited currently and only send the user a push notification when...
- There's a comment added to a file and they're the most recent uploader
- They've been added to a folder
The most logical other push notification to add would be for @mentions which, in theory, would increase overall adoption of comments as well.

Add per-role cap for external collaborator invitations at the enterprise and group level
Proposed solution
Add a Maximum External Collaboration Role setting in Admin Console > Enterprise Settings > Content & Sharing that:-Caps the highest role a managed user can grant to external collaborators(or internal as well).
-Removes higher roles from the invite dropdown so the limit is visible at the point of action.
-Applies globally with optional overrides per group, per user, and per folder (respecting "most restrictive wins").Why it matters
This separates "can invite" from "what they can grant", a standard pattern in enterprise content platforms and a common ask from security and compliance teams. Letting admins enable…1 vote
