Locked Files
It would be REALLY great if there were a way in Box to pull up all of the files you have locked. My team shares tons of excel files all day long. If I forget to unlock a file, no one else knows if they can get in. Half the time I'm not in it but forgot to unlock it. If there were a way to pull up all files at any given time in one place that I've locked where I could unlock them from that screen if I'm no longer in them, it would save us a lot…

box sync ignore files
Are you kindly considering adding a feature to skip / ignore certain paths (directories, files) stored on local machine from syncing? Some examples of situations where inability to exclude files from backup causes undesired issues: 1) There are programs which store temporary files among synced folders. These temporary files frequently change and are deleted on program exit, which results into frequent unnecessary synchronization and deletion of files in cloud, therefore waste of computing resources and bandwidth. 2) Specific program creates empty file "running" to indicate it's in running state. Box Sync does not sync empty file but warns user…

File Type request: .log files (text)
A lot of applications output their logs with the extension .log. These are just text files (.txt) with a .log extension. Unfortunately, files with .log extensions can't load in preview. Please allow .log files to load in preview (for desktop and mobile interfaces).

Allow folders or files to show up in multiple places but be the same object
This is a feature request.
I notice that sometimes team members copy or upload the same document to multiple locations in the same workspace or within the same workspace. For example, there is a shared folder with multiple sub-folders within it. The same file may live within many of those sub-folders. These are all separate files, so if someone uploads a new version of that file somewhere else, the other files are an older copy of that file.
The request would be to allow some way to show, or link to, a file that is elsewhere in the space…

Ability to rotate multi-page TIFF files in Box Preview
For scanning use cases, Content is typically scanned into Box as a TIFF file that can have multiple pages. For review purposes, it would be great to have the ability to rotate individual apges of the TIFF file if they were scanned incorrectly. Otherwise, end users have to download the multi-page TIFF file to rotate files. For our use case, downloading files to local disk should be avoided because of the sensitivity of the files.

Revert to former UX for selecting files/folders (no more check boxes)
In order to select multiple files or folders in the Box Web App you now have to use the checkboxes which are only visible when you hover over the file/folder all the way to the right.
Previously, you could select multiple files and folders by clicking on the file or folder icon on the far left, and didn’t have to bother with checkboxes. The suggestion is to revert to the former UX for selecting files/folders

Selecting files on the Box UI
I recently noticed a change in Box in the while you can select files. Before, you can click on a filename or multiple filenames and it would just be a selection. Now it seems to launch the file. If you want to select the file you have to click on the ballot box to the it’s right now. Our team much prefers the previous way before it was closer to how a desktop UI behaves.

Move or copy to multiple folders
I would like to be able to Move or Copy a group of files to multiple folders in one click. It seemed when you added the radio buttons, that might be possible to select multiple destinations. Alas no.

Ability to see (and if permitted, restore) deleted files
Box currently does not have the ability to show deleted files in a particular folder. Only the owner and the user who deleted files will see them in Trash but not by folder. With large numbers of files in multiple folders, this becomes quite unmanageable quickly and relying on the folder owner to restore files is unnecessarily restrictive.
Folders should have an option to see deleted files and if permitted (editor or higher, or a separate permission) allow users other than the owner and the user who deleted files to restore them.

Bring back previous method of highlighting files
Having to click on the checkbox to the right of files is FAR less intuitive than being able to click anywhere on the body of the file "line." It was much easier and more efficient to be able to just click and shift/ctrl click to highlight multiple files.

Add metadata to multiple files (without using a folder cascade)
I was wondering if it would be possible to add the possibility to add metadata to different pictures/files at the same time. We know it's possible to add meta data to a whole folder, but we would like the same to be possible for a selection of pictures within a folder. It is possible to add tags in this way, but not meta data.

Support for Context Menu Actions on Multiple Files in Box Integrations
Dear Box Product Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I recently reached out regarding an issue I encountered while developing an integration for Box, specifically related to context menu actions on multiple files. Upon discussing the matter with your developer advocate, I was informed that the behavior I observed, where context menu options are not available for multiple file selections, is by design.
While I understand that there may be considerations and design decisions behind this behavior, I would like to provide feedback from a developer's perspective. It would greatly enhance the flexibility and…

Edit Box files directly in Teams
When files are stored directly inside of Teams, you can click on these files and “Edit in Teams” directly. If you click on files sourced from Box, however, you get an ugly preview of the file and have to navigate to Box in order to make edits, which is a clunky experience.
Doing this will require Box to inherit sharing rules as defined in Teams. In other words, I should be allowed to at least view if not edit files shared with me in Teams, even if I don't have access to the underlying folder in Box. Perhaps it could…

Filter search for "Files with all tags" when searching with tags
Currently when you search for multiple tags you receive results for anything with any of those tags. It would be very helpful to be able to filter this result to something like "Only show files with all of these tags"

Allow multi-select of files to download from Content Explorer UI element
Our use case is using Content Explorer to allow users to interact with content in Box. If a user wants to download multiple files via Content Explorer, they either have to download one-by-one, or launch the Content Picker UI element and identify their files again. If Content Explorer supported either multi-select or a checkbox multiple select, users could then download their files with one click.
Specific business process: when working with insurance claims, adjusters regularly need to find and download several images to share with another insurance company to process the claim. Out of 100+ images in the claims folder,…

Upload multiple folders using Upload button
I am trying to migrate data from my desktop to Box. I am able to upload multiple files at the same time but not multiple folders.
I would like to place a feature request for “upload multiple folder using “upload” button on Box web app.
