Eliminate confirmation email for manually created or provisioned accounts
We feel that the confirmation email step should not be utilized with accounts that are manually created in the portal or that are auto provisioned from AD. When we create a new account, there is a "delay" with the new email address being propagated and established in our third-party cloud-based email security system. This causes the new email to be added to the hard bounce list at Box due to the email address not being valid (yet). Make it easier to create a free account for external collaboration
free users account creation is difficult so this lead to lower the usage of external collaboration. Hence, the users are using more shadow IT

Including the original path to a file that was deleted.
It would make it easier to identify what files need to be restored if the original full path of the file was included in the trash folder and that information could be used in a sort/search.

Enhance and support the Box Embed Widget for mobile browsers.
We outsource hosting and presenting documents to Box. We allow our users to upload documents in our app and we upload them to Box via API. Later on, when users want to view the file, we ask the Box API for an iframe URL and embed it in our app. So, in the end, no one is logged in to any box applications, because we use the API under the hood.
16 votesThank you for the submission. We are currently collecting use cases and feature requests for the Box Embed widget, and are considering it for update in a future planning cycle. We do not have a timeline for this at present, but ask you to continue to submit feedback here in the meantime.

Export all Collaborators on an item from Web UI
As an editor - when I go to a folder, I can see everyone collaborated into that folder.
On the right hand side, I can click on a user or on an icon that shows + x number people.When I do that it opens a page showing a table of users collaborated in.
Name/ Email address/ Permission / Date Added/ Added ToI would love a button to click which would simply export a .csv of that table.
Seems simple as that table is presented on the web page.
16 votesThanks for the suggestion! While I definitely see the usefulness of being able to export a report of collaborators on an item, we don’t plan to launch this feature in the near term as we’re focused on other various collaboration improvements.

customize permissions that preserve watermarking on downloaded content
High urgency request for the ability to customize permissions that preserve watermarking on downloaded content. Currently only “Viewers” preserve the watermark when downloading content.
We’d like to allow customers to customize the permissions that can preserve the watermark e.g. Editors, Co-Owners, Owners.

Have Box Notes Accessed via Drive Open in Box Notes Desktop Application
Right now, when a user opens a Box Note from Drive on their desktop, the note is opened in the webapp, rather than the Box Notes desktop app they have installed.
A better flow would be to have those notes open in the Notes desktop app instead

Customization of SSO login screen
Further allow branding customization and controls on login screen. We do not use "network usernames" and as such it can be confusing for users.

Add Ability to 'Open with Office Online' via Box Drive
Users are not currently able to edit/open files to Office Online (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Online) from Box Sync / Box Drive
The key use case of this is to allow users to enter into co-authoring mode when starting in Box for Desktop.
REQUEST: Add an 'open in Office Online' option in the right-click menu for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files when in the Box for Desktop file system.

Assign task to groups
We would like to be able to assign task to specific groups. I.e. asking a whole team to acknowledge that they have seen a specific document.

Email Notifications for Expiring External Collaborators
In addition to the owner of the folder receiving a notification that a collaboration is expiring, the user who initiated (invited) the collaborator, and the collaborator themselves receive notifications.

Show Shield-flagged files in the folder list, and tell users when a folder download skips them
When Shield flags a file as malicious, there is no way to see that in All Files or the folder list. Users have to open each file to find the red banner. If someone downloads the whole folder, the flagged file is left out of the download and there is no notice of what was skipped.
Please add a clear indicator on flagged files in the folder view, and tell the user when a folder download omits a flagged file. End users should not have to click every item, and they should not lose content silently.

Real-time reporting on box STATUS
I think that the timing of updates regarding outage detection and recovery information on the status page is somewhat slow.
I understand the situation that information should be posted officially only after thorough investigation, however some social media platforms like X and third-party outage monitoring services provide faster alerts.
I would like to improvements in real-time reporting.
Once an outage occurs, I receive inquiries not only from within the company but also from external partners. As an administrator, I need to be able to access this information quickly.障害検知や復旧情報について、Statusサイトへ掲載されるタイミングやや遅いと思います色々調査したうえで公式情報として掲載されるのは理解しますが、XなどのSNSや他の障害検知サービスのほうが速報性があります。リアルタイム性をもう少し改善してほしいです。障害発生に関しては、社内だけでなく、外部からの問い合わせ（外部コラボしている取引先）も来るので、管理者として早く情報をCatchしたいです

Automatically resize input text within defined Box Sign text fields.
Allow text fields added to a Box Sign document to automatically resize the text based on inputs. When used as form fill fields for signers/approvers, text will wrap or extend outside of defined field size. Additional logic to notify users who are inputting text that their text cannot shrink/scale appropriately would also be beneficial.

Notification(s) for Box Notes
In the "Inbox" of Box Notes, any Note that gets updated by someone is conveniently displayed at the top. While this feature is helpful, it can also be bothersome because Notes that I no longer need to see keep appearing at the top of my screen every time someone opens them. Additionally, I’d like to be able to turn off unread notifications for Notes that aren’t relevant to me.
It would be helpful to have a setting that allows users to turn update/unread notifications ON or OFF for each Note individually.
Box Notesの「Inbox」で表示されるBox Notesは、誰かに更新されるたびに分かりやすく一番上に更新されたNoteが表示されます。この機能は便利ですが、もう見る必要がないNoteも誰かが開くたび、自分の画面のトップに表示され続けるため煩わしいです。また、未読通知も自分にとって必要ないものはOFFにしたいです。
ユーザー自身でNoteごとに更新通知/未読通知をON/OFFできる設定があると便利です。

API Support for Managing Shared Links on Hubs
This request is to add Box API capabilities to view, create, update, and remove Shared Links for Hubs. Currently, there is no API support for managing Shared Links on Hubs, which limits automation and integration with enterprise workflows.
Enabling this functionality would allow for programmatic control of Hub sharing, improve governance, and support scalable content distribution strategies.
