Uploading contract documents to our consultants and want them to View & Print. They can print only if I upload as Viewer & Download.
Uploading contract documents to our consultants and want them to View & Print. They can print only if I upload as Viewer & Download.. We don't want to upload as Viewer & Download. We don't want the consultant to download our document. ONLY VIEW & PRINT. Current this option is not there and if possible update the platform to View & print option.

In the folders and files reports, we want to output the results filtered by the content's "Creation Date (range specified)" or "Upload Date (range specified)".example:

By carefully selecting only the minimum amount of information required to be output in a report, you can reduce the time it takes to output the report.
In addition, since there is no need to process the output reports, work efficiency can be improved.要望：

Launch study.ambradicom files on double-click
BOX is retiring their DICOM solution at the end of the year, and replacing it with Ambra DICOM. Study files created by the old BOX solution are named "Study.boxdicom" and can be launchd into the BOX DICOM viewer by simply double-clicking on the filename. This is not true for the new Ambra "study,ambradicom" files. In order to view them, you have to clcik on the triple-ellipses. select "Integrations", and then "View DICOM".
I would like to have the ability to simply double-click on the new "study.ambradicom" filename and have it launch the Ambra viewer.

Subfolder Sync: Don't Sync the Files Located in the Parent Folder Path
One of the nuances of Box Sync 4.X's 'subfolder sync' feature is that files that are located in the folders of the parent path for the synced subfolder are also synced, which creates a weird, and unexpected, experience for end users.

REQUEST: Fix this behavior so that even when only a subfolder is marked for 'syncing', none of the files in the parent folders are also inadvertently synced, and instead only sync the parent folders to keep the path in tact.

Ability to reduce file size when image is scanned via the Box mobile app.
- Currently, the size of PDF files obtained when we scan a document via the Box mobile app, is very large.
- Example: Box app on iPhone file size - 7.4MB; Apple's "import from iPhone" file size: -3.9MB. - Could we have the ability to resize / reduce quality of these files?17 votes -
Edit Box files without having to leave Teams
Allow editing of Box files directly in Teams. The current implementation of the Box integration with Teams is too limiting. Without editing, it is rather useless.

Sort files/folders/etc by exclusively names
Right now can only sort files and folders by name separately ie. 04 folder, 05 folder, 01 file, 02 file, 08 link, 09 link etc. Would like them all in a row as they are steps to complete/fill out:
01 file
02 folder
03 link
04 file

Unable to download files from "Collections."
I would LOVE to be able to download the files from a "Collection." It's kinda weird that as powerful as Box is, this seemingly simple task is not available. I spent two days (off and on) assembling a "Collection" only to find that I need to go back and download each file (MS Word doc) individually. Food for thought. Thanks much.

Add warning/prompt when moving your files to shared directory
It is possible to lose ownership of your own files by inadvertently moving them to a folder owned by a collaborator. This issue can be prevented by adding a warning or prompt before moving the file if the ownership of the file will be affected by the move.

Drag and drop files from Box into a document
Our users have all of their content/ media files/ images stored in Box. They routinely drag and drop images to a document (PPT, Word etc.) to prepare docs.
Right now, unless users sync all their files, they cannot drag and drop the file into a document. They have to download it and then add it to doc.

Show all items on All Files page
Request for showing all files at one page.
Currently, we can set files/folder for one page from account setting. However, it limits 100 so that over 100 files/folders cannot be shown for only one page. We would like you to add the function to allow the customer to show over 100 files/folders at one page.

Prevent saving files on local disk to folders that the user does not have access to. At present just a warning pops up but non-tech-savvy users don't know what to do with that, and the errant files can only be found by logging in as that user on that particular machine. If there was some way to not allow invalid local saves it would be very helpful!

Ability to Define which folders/files are included in Box AI answer
Admins have the ability to define which files and folders are included in Box AI.
For example - at our oganization there are multiple SOPs and other operational documents that are useful but saved in different root folders.
This would enable admin/folder owner to determine if folder/file is to be included into Box AI Queries

Fix the Preview of Excel file versions
Currently, previewing older versions of Excel files does not work. No matter what version is selected, the current version of the file is displayed. The causes users to think that versioning is not happening OR that they have lost all prior versions. When users download a previous version of the file, it has the correct content for that version.

Number of files in folder not correctly shown
All the folders in the Box I'm using show "Size" as "0 Files", when in fact each folder contains several files. It would have been useful for this feature to work correctly. Instead, I'm manually opening each folder to check their contents. In the alternative, an option to click an arrow to go to the contents of the next folder in the file list would be helpful to save a click navigating back to the main page.

Utilizing Photoshop and Illustrator Files Without Box Drive
Currently, files that use external references (links) in Photoshop and Illustrator cannot access those references when opened directly from Box. Our company handles a large number of such files, but due to security concerns, we have not enabled Box Drive, which has hindered our effective use of Box. If external references could be utilized without Box Drive—similar to how Excel handles them—it would significantly enhance our ability to leverage Box.

We are making continuous major investments to our Edge infrastructure to improve upload and download performance globally and increase our file size limits (150GB today).
To upload large amount of data, Box Shuttle should be considered and if Box supports FTP, it is not the recommended way to upload large volume of files for both performance and reliability reasons.

When copying or moving a file via Relay, allow the file to overwrite an existing file of the same name as a version.
If we have a locked down area for SOP type files, as the SOP is updated and approved, a Relay workflow moves the file into the published location. If the published file is the same name as an existing file, we would like to have the new file come in as a version of the prior file, not be named with the date-time stamp on it.

Allow "plain text" toggle on preview pane for all small files
Right now, the preview pane on the site will refuse to display plain text files unless the file extension is one of a short list of types. However, there's no good reason why this files can't be displayed. There's no need to try to syntax-highlight the files, just display the contents.
Since the site won't necessarily know if a file with an obscure extension is a plain text file or not, all files below a certain reasonable length in bytes should have a toggle checkbox in the preview pane ("Display raw contents" or something) that would force the file…

Folder path under Trash
Under Trash, please add "folder path". If there was a bulk delete of many files in a folder, we want to confirm the file belongs in the folder path, before we restore the files.
