1. Easily check past annotations in Box Notes

   Box Notes is extremely easy to use for team brainstorming and reviews, and it has become an essential tool for our day‑to‑day collaboration.

   Currently, when we add a comment using the annotation feature in Box Notes, the comment disappears in the next version if the referenced text is deleted. While it is possible to revert the Note to the version in which the annotation was made via the version history, this is not very intuitive.

   We would like comments (annotations) to remain viewable as a history, even after the referenced text has been deleted, similar to how comments work in PowerPoint (.pptx) files.

   現在、Box Notes の注釈機能でコメントを追加した場合、参照している本文を削除すると、次のバージョンではそのコメントも消えてしまいます。
   バージョン履歴で過去バージョンのNoteに戻すと確認可能ですが、直感的ではありません。

2. Tags

   I am tagging all my documents for easy filing and searching. It would be great if
   1) i could save tag searches for future use
   2) be able to see a list of the tags i have created so I can edit, add, delete whatever tag(s) i want.

   Copy a folder with its items into another folder using Box Relay

   Currently, you can select not only the "file that triggered the flow" but also the "folder that triggered the flow."
   However, this only copies the folder, not the items contained within it.
   To avoid complicating the workflow for a single folder, make sure the folder contents are also copied.

5. Easy access the original file from the user interface after signing is completed

   We use Box Sign frequently in our work.
   In the current specifications, after signing is completed, the "Sign Completed Screen" or the "Box Sign List Screen" is displayed.

   After a file has been signed, there are many cases where additional work needs to be done in the location where the original file is stored.
   However, we find it very inconvenient that we cannot reach the folder where the original signature file is saved unless we trace it back from the top folder.

   Please prepare a link to access the original file (or the folder where the original file is saved) from the page after signing is completed.

7. Box Canvas Session Time Improvements

   The session duration of the Box Canvas is affected by the "Session Duration for All Users".
   Therefore, in Box Canvas, if you exceed the time set for "Session Duration for All Users", you will be returned to the login page when you refresh the Box Canvas page.
   To avoid this, you will need to navigate the Box Web UI or refresh the page.
   I'd like to see improvements so that the session doesn't time out while editing Box Canvas.

8. Bulk Metadata View for File Request Files

   We’re using a File Request form with a metadata template that collects applicant and writer info. That metadata is used for renaming applications and triggering other Relay steps.

   What’s missing is a way to see all that metadata at once. Something like a folder-level view or export that shows a list of the metadata values ie(ApplicantName, ApplicantEmail, WriterName, WriterEmail). Right now the only option is opening the metadata tab on each file one by one, which doesn’t scale when there are a lot of submissions.

   A simple list or export of all metadata in a folder would make managing these requests much easier.

10. assign folder

    Where folder contents need to be updated from time-to-time, have ability to assign various people as assigned "Folder Manager” who are responsible for managing the contents for accuracy. Shoudl be viewable in the folders view (ability to set a new column). 1) Tags could work; 2) It seems column headers can not be changed; 3) metadata doesn't seem to work (especially for non-tech savvy people.

12. Request for Partial Upgrade to Box Enterprise Advanced.

    We would like to partially upgrade to the Box Enterprise Advanced plan, rather than applying it to the entire tenant. This would allow us to conduct testing in a real environment, which could ultimately lead to a full company-wide upgrade.

13. is there a way to auto populate a metadata attributes such as employee name from a csv list or automatically from the box users?

    It would be nice if we could populate or employee name attribute list from either a csv file of usernames or directly from the usernames in the admin console.

14. AI units insights

    Add enhanced reporting capabilities to the admin console that provide more granular and visual data on AI Units consumption patterns - instead of just a number on the insights. Having the just the tile with the overall number on the insights makes it difficult to track and manage my AI units efficiently.

    I would like to have:

    Graphical representation of AI Units consumed
    Daily breakdown of consumption data
    Ability to identify workflows causing usage spikes or dips
    On-demand access to usage insights

15. API to execute and export Box report or notification services to receive alarts when usage is approaching or exceeding the allocated limit.

    We would like to better monitor and manage the number of chargeable API calls, but without relying on manual checks via the Insights dashboard or executing and reviewing the Platform Activity Report (PAR). Instead, we seek a more automated and efficient solution.

    Specifically, we request that Box either:

    Provide a public API to retrieve relevant usage reports, or

    Enhance the existing reporting functionality to allow administrators or designated users to receive alerts when usage is approaching or exceeding the allocated limit.

    This would help ensure appropriate and proactive API usage management.

17. Make the popup box on desktop go away

    I would love if there was a way to remove or click on this dialog box to make it go away. It is constantly in the way of work. I know box want me to "resolve" the issue but if they'd like me to do that they should provide more information on what exactly is the problem because when I try and fix it, it never works.

18. I want to be able to select an area of the file (like comment or annotate) when I assign a task.

    When I assign a task, it's not always clear what part of the file I am referring it. I would like to be able to (optionally) select a portion of the file and then assign a task to it.

19. Number of files in folder not correctly shown

    All the folders in the Box I'm using show "Size" as "0 Files", when in fact each folder contains several files. It would have been useful for this feature to work correctly. Instead, I'm manually opening each folder to check their contents. In the alternative, an option to click an arrow to go to the contents of the next folder in the file list would be helpful to save a click navigating back to the main page.

20. Request for API Access to Collaboration and Folder/File Reports for Admin

    Hi Box team,

    Ref case #3373797 and our recent conversation, we want to retrieve all collaboration data via the API instead of manually generating reports from the Admin Console. We understand report generation currently requires a manual trigger and no API exists for this.

    The two main reports we’re interested in are:
    - Collaborations
    - Folders & Files

    Is there any way to access these reports via API now or planned soon? If not, could you suggest any alternative for programmatic access?
