Email notifications should include context
We want Box generated email notifications to include context re: the folder-level where the user was added.
For people like our boss who wants to know what is going on with a project without having to open a folder the information provided in the email notification will have to let him know what project (folder) it is associated with.

Automatic output function of shuttle job report
Currently, to output a job report, you must click the Export button from the Job Report window.
It would be great if the job was automatically exported to the Box Shuttle Reports folder when it was completed.
It would be even better to receive a notification email when the job report is automatically exported.2 votes -
[File Request] cascade feature to allow granular uploading of files to a folder structure / subfolders.
[File Request] feature to allow uploading files to a folder structure / subfolders. The "Submit Files" page does not provide any context regarding the linked folder name without having to manually input this, and doesn't provide subfolders to allow the user to drill down and upload files into the subfolder of which they choose (with breadcrumbs of course to navigate back to the root folder share via the File Request URL. Currently users have to create a File Request per folder or invite users in to the parent folder as a "Previewer Uploader" in order to upload.

Remove "Global Share" and "Personal" folders
The additional folders make data retrieval, data organization and data sharing more cumbersome. It ultimately hinders the digital transformation initiative as other, more traditional tools, are not subjected to the additional folder structure. Shared Drives and SharePoint for example have no segregated folders, simply one place where data is shared and data organization is determined by the end users. Also, the security notification may be handled with a simple notification banner instead as is the case on SharePoint.

Enhanced Folder Naming for Signature Links
Current Issue
When documents are issued via Box Sign signature links, the folders created during storage are named with dates only. We would like the ability to include document-identifying codes or keywords in folder names.Current behavior:
File names are preserved, but folders are subsequently named with dates only
When signature links are sent to multiple recipients, it becomes difficult to quickly identify which document belongs to which person
Lack of clear organization makes document management challenging

Notify users before account becomes inactive
Notify users before account becomes inactive.
System should have the feature to set the days before notification goes out to users that are approaching the threshold of inactivity (user not accessing Box).

Daily reminders on uncompleted tasks for Approvers in box relay
Would like to have a function to notify the Approver for uncompleted tasks in box relay on a daily bases. A popup when opening box of the web would also do.
When the Approver of a task is extremely busy, the current email notification is not enough, therefore would like to have an automatic reminder on a daily bases on pending approval tasks.

Warn users of upcoming web session expiration.
It can be confusing to users that Box does not bring you back to your login page on session expiration, only after you try to complete an action. Suggest adding a notification to warn users they will be logged out in XX minutes due to inactivity. Alternatively, notify users they are logged out before they try to complete an action.

Add permissions to a folder without emailing everyone
I'd like to be able to edit permissions directly in a folder without sending and receiving a ton of emails. I have not found a way to do this - even silent mode on the admin account does not allow for this. I think the notifications within Box are sufficient to let people know their folder permissions have changed and if I want to send an email it is easier if I just send a single email outside of Box to all affected.

We have 700+ users. There should be an easy way that an admin or co-admin can notify everyone.
Example: say we need to do some maintenance and would like to notify all of our users. Right now I was told the only way to do this is to email everyone or share a link with everyone. With over 700+ users that would be a LOT of emailing or sharing. Can you please create a way we can send out a notification to our whole enterprise?

The ability to resize or delete the astronomical images on the Relay notifications.
In its current state, the astronomical image is so large that it is difficult to see the text underneath.

Identify locally any failed uploads
Hi, we have had users send entire folders with dozens if not hundreds of subfolders up to Box via Box Drive. In some cases, since they aren't reviewing all of the content they are uploading, there are some failures (inappropriate file or folders names, unsupported file types, etc). Box Drive names the failed uploads but offers no way to identify them in the Box Drive folder structure on the local machine. There are no icon changes that might identify those containing folders which have the failed uploads within them. A simple right click in the notification to show the offending…

RELAY Notifications
Relay can alert on new collaborators to a folder. Relay cannot distinguish external vs managed user. It would be a plus if on certain folders you can choose to ignore if the collaborator is a managed user. So only alerts for external collaborators get sent.

Sharing folders takes too many clicks
It takes too many steps to share. When box first came it was awesome- 1 click to create a folder and 1(2?) clicks to share. Now it is 5 (five!!!!) steps to be able to put the folder link into "pasting" into email position. Why are you yet another company who along with increased success make it worse for its users? And contacting you regarding this issue is such a hassle- there is no direct "contact" information to voice this issue. That communicates that you really show no interest in us users.

Install Box Sync on PC using existing Box Sync folder
You have a published workaround here:
This only describes how to download the Box Sync data all over again. I do not have high-speed internet, so this would take weeks to do.
All I did was change out my storage drive. All of the Box Sync data was copied exactly, so all 50GB of data is still there. I just need to have it see that the files in the current folder are the same (you can use the filename, location, and file size). Add a 'description' for folder and files at the top of the page, just below the folder/file name.
A description of the folder at the top of the page will save time for our users, stakeholders and team members. It can be used as a way to describe what a user can expect to find in a given folder; and if this option extends in all sub-folders and files, it can help save a lot of time, bandwidth, and storage.
The following format example will work well:
Account name > Project name > Research files

Shorten/Remove "Copy Link" Delay
There is often a delay when copying links to multiple files/folders in Box. As a result, one link may not be successfully copied even after the green "Copied" notification appears.

Bounceback sent to admin when they send an email to noreply@box.com
When a comment is added to a file in Box a notification is sent to an end user from the email "noreply@box.com" If that recipient then replied to the email would the bounce back of being "undelivered" be controlled by Box or the admins email?
End users are currently not receiving a bounce back email and therefore unaware their comments are not being delivered so our admin is missing out on comments.
