Request for an option to enable or disable email notifications when sharing a Hub
When sharing a Hub, I would like to be able to choose whether or not to send an email to the person I invited.
This is because users are not used to receiving notification emails from Box and might perceive them as spam, which would prevent unnecessary inquiries from being made to the IT department.
The addition of the Hub will be announced separately on the portal site, so I would like the Hub to be quietly added to the Hubs menu.1 vote -
Email notifications should include context
We want Box generated email notifications to include context re: the folder-level where the user was added.
For people like our boss who wants to know what is going on with a project without having to open a folder the information provided in the email notification will have to let him know what project (folder) it is associated with.

Metrics for tracking most oft-accessed files on a Box Drive shared among a team, department, etc.
OneDrive's tallying of the number of times particular files are accessed and by whom helped direct organization efforts for cloud storage and understand staff behavior. The Box Drive does not have a similar quantitative feature, as far as I know. Possible to create such a feature, to track who, when, and how often particular files and folders are used by staff permitted access? Thank you!

Shorten/Remove "Copy Link" Delay
There is often a delay when copying links to multiple files/folders in Box. As a result, one link may not be successfully copied even after the green "Copied" notification appears.

We have 700+ users. There should be an easy way that an admin or co-admin can notify everyone.
Example: say we need to do some maintenance and would like to notify all of our users. Right now I was told the only way to do this is to email everyone or share a link with everyone. With over 700+ users that would be a LOT of emailing or sharing. Can you please create a way we can send out a notification to our whole enterprise?

Add a 'description' for folder and files at the top of the page, just below the folder/file name.
A description of the folder at the top of the page will save time for our users, stakeholders and team members. It can be used as a way to describe what a user can expect to find in a given folder; and if this option extends in all sub-folders and files, it can help save a lot of time, bandwidth, and storage.
The following format example will work well:
Account name > Project name > Research files

Sharing folders takes too many clicks
It takes too many steps to share. When box first came it was awesome- 1 click to create a folder and 1(2?) clicks to share. Now it is 5 (five!!!!) steps to be able to put the folder link into "pasting" into email position. Why are you yet another company who along with increased success make it worse for its users? And contacting you regarding this issue is such a hassle- there is no direct "contact" information to voice this issue. That communicates that you really show no interest in us users.

The ability to resize or delete the astronomical images on the Relay notifications.
In its current state, the astronomical image is so large that it is difficult to see the text underneath.

Add permissions to a folder without emailing everyone
I'd like to be able to edit permissions directly in a folder without sending and receiving a ton of emails. I have not found a way to do this - even silent mode on the admin account does not allow for this. I think the notifications within Box are sufficient to let people know their folder permissions have changed and if I want to send an email it is easier if I just send a single email outside of Box to all affected.

Dashboards - Enhanced (and Exportable) Dashboards in Admin Console
This request is for enhanced dashboards inside the Admin Console, specifically:
1. Exportable dashboards
2. Customizable - add options to choose custom date ranges, etc.
3. Allow for a 'double click' into the charts to see far more information - for example, don't just show me the top 5 users by storage total (like we do now) -- also allow me to 'double click' on that chart to see my top 100 or 500 even.1 voteWe intend to improve the Insights dashboard to provide more interactivity and customization. Identify locally any failed uploads
Hi, we have had users send entire folders with dozens if not hundreds of subfolders up to Box via Box Drive. In some cases, since they aren't reviewing all of the content they are uploading, there are some failures (inappropriate file or folders names, unsupported file types, etc). Box Drive names the failed uploads but offers no way to identify them in the Box Drive folder structure on the local machine. Currently if I get tagged in box I can receive a slack notification but I only get an email for approval tasks and gets buried in emails.1 vote -
RELAY Notifications
Relay can alert on new collaborators to a folder. Relay cannot distinguish external vs managed user. It would be a plus if on certain folders you can choose to ignore if the collaborator is a managed user. So only alerts for external collaborators get sent.

tagging/assigning comments on a document (similar to OneDrive)
In One Drive you are able to add comments directly within the document, and tag people/ assign the comment to a person using the @ sign and it will send them a notification.

Install Box Sync on PC using existing Box Sync folder
You have a published workaround here:
This only describes how to download the Box Sync data all over again. I do not have high-speed internet, so this would take weeks to do.
All I did was change out my storage drive. All of the Box Sync data was copied exactly, so all 50GB of data is still there. I just need to have it see that the files in the current folder are the same (you can use the filename, location, and file size). Enable Fast Push Notifications for Metadata Changes.
Nationwide is a platform customer who is customizing Box’s UI elements to support a new version of their Claim Center application. One of their usecases requires nearly instantaneous notification for metadata updates. The Event Stream is not an appropriate source because of the delay associated in parsing.
This functionality would 100% be used by Nationwide.
