1. Notification function when a conflict occurs when editing a file

   Files are locked when edited from Box Drive by users who have co-authoring enabled.
   However, it takes time for the lock to take effect, which can lead to file conflicts if another user edits the file first.

   BoxDrive and BoxEdit normally notify you when a file conflict occurs, but unfortunately users who have enabled the collaborative editing feature do not receive the notification that a conflict has occurred.

   If you want to co-edit with a user whose co-editing function is disabled, you can co-edit with Office Online if you are editing Excel or Word, but the file you want to edit this time is Access.
   Therefore, collaborative editing is not possible in Office Online.

   When a conflict occurs, it is necessary to re-edit each file, but currently there is no notification when a conflict occurs, so you have to check on your own to see if there is a conflict.
   To save time, notify users who have co-authoring enabled when a conflict occurs.

2. Notification that someone you assigned a Task did not complete it by the deadline you set

   Often I assign Tasks with deadlines. While the person receiving the task gets notifications that the deadline is approaching, I do not get a notification if they did not complete the Task on time.
   This would be extremely helpful to know that Tasks have not been completed so we can follow up.

3. Customize "shared settings" notification

   Hi,

   Whenever I put a BOX link on slack, I always get the "shared settings" notification.

   "It says I can customize the sharing settings use the dropdown list. "

   But I just want to share the link, don't want to customize every time. Is it possible to set not to display this?

   Yes, this is possible via setting the Default Instant Permission to "Do Nothing". This can be set up in Box app's Home page in Slack.

4. Save Microsoft Teams Recordings to Box

   When recording a call/meeting in Microsoft Teams, it defaults to using OneDrive as it's default storage. Currently the process of saving a recording is a manual process of downloading the recording, and uploading to Box. I'd like an option to default recording data to Box instead.

5. Display Notification for Blocked Uploads to Uploading User

   When creating your own Content Security policies for uploads it would be really helpful to be able to create a notification that would be displayed to an uploading user. The notification would be able to be configured by an admin user to explain the reason for why a file upload was prevented.

   Without these types of notifications we have users who may upload files and then needless work exists to find out which user uploaded a file type we do not accept to then notify the end user that the file type is not acceptable and then have the user upload a file again. If we could just get the user to know which file types were allowed at upload and the reason if the upload was blocked that would be very helpful.

6. Show number of unread notification on left menu bar

   In the past, users were given the number of unread notification they have on the left menu bar. This has now been replaced by a red badge. We would prefer to have the number display so it is more accessible.

7. Customize Upload Policy Email Notifications

   Ability to add customized logos, hyperlinks, and change the text of the notification email so it makes more sense for our organization.

   As the notification stands now, it's generic and we want to make it more descriptive.

   Thank you for the suggestion! At the moment there is no plan for this feature. We may look into this in the future.

8. Trigger E-mail notification for annotation comments

   Currently, Box does not send E-mail notifications when a reviewer uses Annotation tools such as Markup, Comment on Region, and Highlight and Comment options, unless our name is mentioned. It would be beneficial if Box could send E-mail notifications even when our names are not mentioned in annotations.
   While Annotations are excellent for adding comments, not receiving e-mail notifications for these comments is a drawback. Please consider implementing this feature.

9. Update "Box login from..." email notification

   When I access Box from a new browser or device, I get "Box Login from...." email notification from Box.

   Within the email body, it said "You can manage your login activity list from the Security tab and your notifications from the Notifications tab of your Account Settings." but there is no "Notifications" tab under user Account settings.

   Instead there is a "Sharing" tab under which there is a section for "General Emails and Notifications". Could you please fix the wording with in the email notification body to reflect the correct tab and section. It helps the end users to get to the right section to manage their email notifications.

10. Please create navigation to split "shared with me" files and folders from my own files and folders, similar to OneDrive.

    Please, please, create a separate view on the web to just showcase files and folders that are shared with me; rather than files/folders that are of my ownership. Similar to what other file storage providers offer, like OneDrive.

    Thank you for the feedback here -we are considering various ways to split shared/owned content & are considering this for the future roadmap, but don’t currently have a timeline for this.

11. Notification bubble in Grid View for Comments

    I'd like the notification bubble for comments to be returned to the grid view and not ONLY be available in list view. I have some employees that use this feature and now they have to toggle back to list view to see if there are comments of files that have been provided -vs- being able to see them at a glance in grid view as before.

12. Email notification to include name of person signing

    Looking for an option where the email notification includes the name of the signee from your signature requests.

    This would make it easier to search in our emails rather than having to click the link to see who signed the documents, which wastes time and makes it a lot harder to track.

15. Email Notification for specific documents or tags

    In the current version of the Box product, there is no feature available to notify a user or a user group for that matter, of any uploads of specific file types or specific tags on files.

    We would like for our users to be able to be notified of uploads of specific files in a given folder instead of being inundated with notification emails for every upload done in a folder.

16. Notification on task assignment not supported in API

    Currently there is no option to send a user an email notification when they are assigned a task via API. This is an unexpected gap, as an email will be sent when the task is assigned manually in the UI, and there are few indications that the same will not be true for programmatically assigned tasks.

17. If users log in from "Microsoft Edge", send them a notification saying “Box login from "Microsoft Edge".

    Users receive the notification mail of login activity saying “Box login from "Windows Chrome" even though he login from “Microsoft Edge“. It should say "Box login from "Microsoft Edge"

18. Automatic notification of an added sub-folder

    I would like to be notified when a new sub-folder is added to an existing folder. It would be helpful if this could be set and be automatic as opposed to requiring a person to tell me. It seems a basic idea for BOX and was surprised it did not exist. Am requesting per this page.

19. Notification pop-ups that have already been viewed are now unread.

    For the past month or so, notification pop-ups that have already been confirmed will be marked as unread.
    Even if I click to mark them as read, all notifications are often marked as unread.
    This is causing significant problems in checking new notifications, so we request that this be fixed immediately.
