Expose EXIF Metadata in the Box Webapp when Media (Photo, etc.) is Uploaded via Box Mobile App
Currently we do not expose media EXIF metadata (location info, camera type, etc.) for files uploaded to Box using the standard Box mobile apps (we do for media uploaded through Capture though).
This request is to provide a similar experience like we've already implemented with Capture.

I have some files sorted into collections. It would be great if I could select all the files and tag them.
Currently you have to tag each file in a collection individually. If you select all the tag option disappears.

Folder Level Setting to Enable Office Online
It would be outstanding if Box could enable some intelligence around editing office documents, and/or have a switch you could set to only allow designated files to be editable via Office Online. That way no one could accidentally step on changes to a file that someone else made, or cause a conflict which has to be manually resolved. This would be a real big win. And when I say designated files, I mean in a folder not across Box for all of us certain file type.

Metadata Versioning History
As we need to meet specific regulatory or compliance requirements, it's helpful to have a history of the metadata attributes that are applied to a folder or file.
It would be ideal if this was versioned on files/folders in the UI or reportable via user reports.
33 votesAlthough we do not plan to introduce this feature in the near term, we recognize its importance. We will certainly keep this in mind for future roadmap inclusion and we will keep the status of this request updated to accurately reflect our current position.

Ability to 'select all' or 'multi-select' items for moving between folders
Same as the title says: ability to 'select all' or 'multi-select' items for moving between folders. Why can't I select multiple files via a menu option, drag and drop, or any other method beside individually clicking every single item.

filter the activity report with specific classification
We want to get the activity reports for specific classification(just like specifying the folder).
We need to audit user activities for confidential files every quarter. Current activity reports can only specify the user, date, folder and action, not classification.

File Request should be back to the original page after uploading
When multiple files are uploaded one by one (e.g. with different metadata), users need to visit the url every time upload completes. It would be time-saving if it goes back to the original page after completion of upload

Remove File Size Limit
File sizes only continue to grow as video quality improves due to better technology. Our video teams have some files that are 700 GB or more. We are unable to use Box as a backup solution because of the file size limit.

Enable native Google share module for externally-shared files stored in Box
Request:
Add the ability to share files directly via Google's native share module (Google Drive sharing UI/flow) rather than requiring the Box share flow, while keeping the underlying file stored in Box.Use case:
Some of our clients use Box as their primary repository. When we need to share a file with these external clients, the current flow requires them to create a Box account to access the shared file. This is a blocker and several times it's come up that external clients will not create Box accounts just to receive a file.We still want the file itself to…

Disable drag/drop function for subfolders when navigating to save a file
When navigating to the relevant subfolder to save a file, it is too easy to accidentally drag/drop a subfolder into a parallel one, on route.
Causing headaches with missing folders and upsetting the folder structure.
If the folder moving function could be frozen while saving files, this would be more secure.8 votes -

Block file extensions lists in Shield malware detection
As part of Governance it is possible to move certain file types to a Quarantine folder. This is useful for a lot of ransomwares, as they change the extension of files.
Currently this "old" functionality has not yet been moved to Shield. Shield does have a malware detection, which uses threat detection technology. We would like to have the ability to extend this with a list of known extensions.
