   Create an access level for Word and Excel files that allows the user to edit them online, but not download them to /upload a new version of them from their computer. Basically, online edit only.

2. Ability to specify items that have been moved to the recycle bin when outputting the user activity report.

   It seems that the specification is also intended to check the movement of items before and after they are moved to the recycle bin, but I would like you to be able to specify the items that have been moved to the recycle bin when outputting the report.

   Currently, it is a specification that can not be searched if it is moved to the trash box when the item name is surely grasped.
   Items cannot be specified in the target folder and file items.

3. BoxDrive app for Windows better error messages visible to users

   We are trying to troubleshoot BoxDrive connectivity issues and the only error it generates now is "Verify that you are connected to the internet and restart Box Drive". This error is not specific enough to start the troubleshooting process. BoxDrive for Windows needs to have a better error messages shown to the users if it's an issue with network connectivity, user authentication or any other issue.

4. User Activity report should have logs for “New version upload”

   At present, it only shows as “Edit” and if a new version with a different name was uploaded on a file by mistake, the admin will not be able to find out what happened by searching for the file name.

6. Allows the report to see the classification labels that have been applied in the past

   In the User Activity Report, when a classification label is changed, it is logged. However, it does not record from which label was changed to which label..
   One user currently sets the privilege to edit classification labels to editors (general employees). However, the more users with editing privileges, the greater the security risk. The only way to avoid this risk is to limit the scope of editing privileges to the owner or co-owner (superior). In that case, it would be too inconvenient, since it would be necessary to apply to the superior for a change in the classification label.
   By making it possible to track which classification labels have been assigned in the past and who assigned them, it is possible to increase the convenience of classification label operation while ensuring security.

   過去に適用されていた分類ラベルをレポートで確認できるようにします。
   ユーザーアクティビティレポートでは、分類ラベルが変更されるとログに記録されます。しかし、何のラベルから何のラベルになったかは記録されません。

7. Approval Task With Box Relay Enhancements

   When allocating approval tasks in Box Relay, users are able to uncheck the "Invite the person in charge as a viewer" function.
   In addition, if "Invite users as viewers" is enabled, and the members in charge have been granted permission as members of a group, which prevent them from being invited to the file as viewers.

8. Ability to run relay workflows as a group

   Relay workflows and approval tasks are started and sent as the user that created the relay. Ideally you want to get the box approval task that is sent to the users to approve to look like it is coming from the team that is requesting the approval.

   Example: Invoice approval
   When an invoice approval relay starts, pick dept. from metadata and start an approval process to the appropriate user as defined in the workflow. The user gets an email that says 'boxadmin' (in out case the user that created the relay) has sent you an approval task.

   It would be better to have a senario whereby you could select the 'from' of the approval task creation to be from one of the security 'Groups' in Box. Therefore you could then get an email to say.
   Finance Dept. has sent you a Approval Task

9. Google Workspace - Add Collaborators/Check for Collaborators

   The Google Workspace add-on only allows you to create a Shared Link to share files/folders, you cannot add/remove collaborators. It would be great to have the ability to add folks as collaborators, rather than just choosing from Shared Link settings. Additionally, it would be great if when sharing the file it could be recognized that recipients on the email and/or calendar invite do not have existing permissions to the file/folder (similar to what Google does.)

10. Folder Lock from Web UI

    Currently, Folder Lock can be configured only through API. We would like to be able to configure it on Web UI, e.g. Folder Settings.
    Folder Lock function is very useful, but not used widely. Probably it's because API is not very friendly for some users.

    Because of the downstream impacts, we will not be solving this problem as requested. We will be looking at a more holistic approach to prevent unintended consequences of file operations.

    Change the default security of a shared link, to "People in this file" or "People in this folder" rather than "Anyone with the link" (which is the current default).

    Whenever a shared link is created in box, the default access permission assigned to the new Shared Link, is "Anyone with the link" unless Account-level permissions are specifically changed by a knowledgeable user. This is not a secure choice at all. It's too easy to create a large number of Shared Links which, by default, are open to absolutely anyone in the entire world to whom the link gets forwarded to. The box user may be under the mistaken impression that their link is secure, but by default it is absolutely not at all secure!

    This poor security choice is similar to forwarding an email attachment directly, but the difference is that box requires each of it's folder to be specifically permissioned. So the box user is under the impression that when users are permissioned to view folder contents, that no-one else would be able to view those contents even if a shared link is forwarded beyond the intended audience. WRONG!

    Since box requires explicit addition of users to each folder, it makes sense that all shared links, by default would have their access level limited to the users of that folder. The user should specifically select whether they want to make the link accessible to everyone in the world.

    Change the default security of a shared link, to "People in this file" or "People in this folder" rather than "Anyone with the link" (which is the current default).

    The logs of adding and deleting classification labels will be output from the User Activity Report as "Add Template" and "Delete Template".
    However, since the details are blank, it is not possible to determine from the user activity report whether the logs actually add or remove classification labels.
    Therefore, I would like to see the addition and deletion of classification labels added to the items as "Add Classification Label" and "Delete Classification Label" instead of "Add Template" and "Delete Template".
    If it is difficult, I would like to see it placed in the detail column so that we can distinguish whether the classification label was actually manipulated.

15. Upload notifications should notify user of uploads even if their account is the one uploading to a folder

    User has set their folder settings to allow notification emails for a certain folder. She only gets email notifications when other people upload to that folder and not when she does. She would like to be able to receive notification emails when she uploads to the folder.

    This is an interesting feature! However, it does not have enough demand or impact in order to be prioritized. We will reconsider with additional demand.

16. Allow multi-select of files to download from Content Explorer UI element

    Our use case is using Content Explorer to allow users to interact with content in Box. If a user wants to download multiple files via Content Explorer, they either have to download one-by-one, or launch the Content Picker UI element and identify their files again. If Content Explorer supported either multi-select or a checkbox multiple select, users could then download their files with one click.

    Specific business process: when working with insurance claims, adjusters regularly need to find and download several images to share with another insurance company to process the claim. Out of 100+ images in the claims folder, adjusters share a small subset.

    Our use case is using Content Explorer to allow users to interact with content in Box. If a user wants to download multiple files via Content Explorer, they either have to download one-by-one, or launch the Content Picker UI element and identify their files again. 19. Change primary email address but not login user

    We are a large University with affiliate organizations leveraging our Box service. These affiliate organizations do not use the University primary email address domain.
    Specifically for BoxSign, we would like be able to change some users' primary email address to their linked email address WITHOUT changing their email address used for login into Box (because they have to use SSO and 2FA).

20. Change Sender name to "Box" or "Box Updates" instead of the user's name

    Collaboration Invite notification emails currently pull the inviting user’s Display Name from the Sender line and putting it in the From line. This means that while the email is coming from noreply@box.com, it still has the user’s name like the email has come from them directly.

    This can cause conflicts with mail servers that flag emails based on Display Name and email origin. It would be preferable to simple have all notification emails from Box leave Box or Box Updates in the Display Name field, rather than spoofing the acting user’s name.
