Retention Policies as Deletion Policies
Files in a folder (or globally) would be purged after a certain period of time, but if a user wants to remove the content before that time, they would be able to do so.

Report on new data platform doesn't reflect latest information
Report on new data platform doesn't reflect latest information
To improve report performance, Box migrated legacy to new data platform on collaboration report recently. However, new one will take about 24 hours to reflect latest data into exported report. It could be harder for admin to audit new collaboration on enterprise using report feature. There are two request for this change :
- Make sure that admin knows when the exported report is as of
- Reflect much faster like User Detail Report which can reflect 1 hours ago

"SSO Authentication Should Be Counted as 'Login' in User Statistics Report"
SSO Authentication is not counted as "Login" in User Statistics report. SSO Authentication is also "Login" activity. It should be counted.

Allows the report to see the classification labels that have been applied in the past
In the User Activity Report, when a classification label is changed, it is logged. However, it does not record from which label was changed to which label..
One user currently sets the privilege to edit classification labels to editors (general employees). However, the more users with editing privileges, the greater the security risk. The only way to avoid this risk is to limit the scope of editing privileges to the owner or co-owner (superior). In that case, it would be too inconvenient, since it would be necessary to apply to the superior for a change in the classification label.…23 votes -
Make Shared Excel files only editable in Excel online, not downloadable.
Create an access level for Word and Excel files that allows the user to edit them online, but not download them to /upload a new version of them from their computer. Basically, online edit only.

Deleted accounts: Retrieve and restore any previous collaboration relationships
Allow for a Point in Time recovery.
We inadvertently de-provisioned a group of users and then re-provisioned them. Upon re-provisioning, we want Box to be able to restore the user collaboration points to how they existed prior.

Add "Open in Box Drive" function
Add an "Open in Box Drive" UI option for the web app.
This solves the problem of identifying a file or folder in the web app, wanting to work on the file or folder in Box Drive, and needing to leave the Web App to navigate through several steps to find that file in Box Drive.Ideally this should only be active on hosts that have Box Drive installed; it could be not presented, or disabled, on other hosts.

Allow multi-select of files to download from Content Explorer UI element
Our use case is using Content Explorer to allow users to interact with content in Box. If a user wants to download multiple files via Content Explorer, they either have to download one-by-one, or launch the Content Picker UI element and identify their files again. If Content Explorer supported either multi-select or a checkbox multiple select, users could then download their files with one click.

Approval Task With Box Relay Enhancements
When allocating approval tasks in Box Relay, users are able to uncheck the "Invite the person in charge as a viewer" function.
In addition, if "Invite users as viewers" is enabled, and the members in charge have been granted permission as members of a group, which prevent them from being invited to the file as viewers.52 votesWe’re evaluating this as a feature now.

Folder Lock from Web UI
Currently, Folder Lock can be configured only through API. We would like to be able to configure it on Web UI, e.g. Folder Settings.
Folder Lock function is very useful, but not used widely. --Email Notification - Sent to 'affected users' (defined as Folder Owner and the original Inviter, aka the person who invited in the collaborator who is about to expire)

Wrap or hover long owner's name to display whole name
Longer file or Owner names do not display the whole name in the UI
For example Users&Groups > Groups > "Group name" > Edit users.
If owners name like BoxTestAccount(Bostestacconut+new@box.com),
It shows BoxTestAccount(Boxtestaccount@box...

Allow users to easily set retention on an individual file or folder
End users need to have the ability to easily apply retention policies to individual documents. They should be able to click an apply policy button, choose the policy and click OK
Policies should be able to be configured so that users only see policies that apply to them or they have access to.10 votesPlease help us understand the use case more, as the ability to apply retention is typically not extended to end users.

Ability to create folders on the fly when moving/copying content
Users would like to be able to create a folder when moving/copying content, as opposed to only being able to move/copy content to pre-existing folders. It would save time and energy to be able to do that on the fly as opposed to creating the folder ahead of time.

Stop or modify instant suspension of new user email addresses on account setup, or give admins access to your blocklist
When a new user account is set up, a confirmation email is automatically sent to the login address for the account. Currently, if this message is bounced, the user's email address is immediately placed on your block list.
So - I create a new staff email account in 365, then use that email address to set up a Box account. Box immediately sends a confirmation email message - but 365 is having a slow day and the gateway hasn't yet caught up with accepting messages for that address. Create a report with a list of users who have Relay Lite access
A way to view a list of users who have the [Relay Lite access] check box selected? Such as through reports instead of having to go through each user in Users & Groups.

No Logs for prevent Managed User username change
The new feature allowing administrators to Prevent managed users from altering their Profile Name information does not generate any log entries when it is activated. Additionally, changes to this setting are not recorded, like when someone deactivates it.
Please request that any modifications made through the Admin Console be included in the security logs. This must be forgotten in the development plan.1 vote -
Separate shared links for internal and external users.
We want to be able to share links internally and externally. External shared links should only be available for 10 days while internal shared links should not expire.
