    Admin/ Co-admin would be better informed if they have the option to receive notification whenever managed user invite external user for collaboration.

  3. Send Relay notification to internal distribution list

    In relay, we want to send a notification to a distribution list (internal), but right now you can only send to managed users or external users that have been previously invited to a folder. We have a use case where we want to trigger a notification to an entire group, they have access to the folder, but we don’t want to rely on individual notifications for this, we want them to get a forced notification. They are in a group, but groups in box aren’t mail enabled.

    So either the ability to send to a distribution list… or…

  4. Notification about Update of File

    If you share a link to a file or folder, is there a way for recipients on that file to be notified that the file has been updated or in the case of a folder that another file has been added?

    For example, when they receive the link, could there be a message that says, if you'd like to get updated about this file/folder enter your e-mail. Then Box has a way of sending them the updates.

  5. Default email notification for a folder

    Set a default notification setting for a folder (i.e. Every collaborator gets a notification email when a new file is uploaded), until the individual wants to change that and override it. This would be helpful in the case where we want to utilize Box to share files with external clients and avoid sending a separate email to them to let them know that we've uploaded a new file. It would be a hassle (and maybe not likely to happen) to rely on external clients to change their own personal notification settings.

  6. Notification that a file has entered workflow

    When a file enters workflow it is moved, a notification (preferably to other users in the folder) that the file has been moved because it has entered a workflow is required.

  8. Include owner of the relevant file in the notification e-mail when the collaboration is terminated.

    Currently, the following information is included in notification e-mails when a collaboration is canceled. 
    "There is one collaborator to be removed-[name] - [folder name] - [date to be removed]."

    The current notification email has no information about who the collaborator is.
    Please include the owner's information in the notification email so that we can contact the owner.

    I enabled notifications for the BOX REPORTS folder for uploads but this does NOT notifiy me when the report completes.

    We are currently evaluating Relay so notifications on Mobile will be important for making Relay a viable solution (and will certainly make regular comments/tasks easier to access).

  12. Notification when someone is editing a file

    Since we don't have an option to check-in/check-out of files, can you add a feature like Dropbox's badge which alerts a user when someone else is editing a file so we prevent any simultaneous version history/editing issues?

    We have launched the capability to coauthor Office, iWork and Google Workspace files from Box Drive. Coauthoring documents will provide indication on the users who are actively editing the document.


    We currently do not have this planned on our roadmap for other file types.

    Please keep the feedback & use cases coming to help us prioritize this in the future!

    Would be great if Box can be used as an archive for Zoom Phone voicemail messages and recordings.

  14. I want you to change the title of the email notification when you add an item to the folder.

    "Example"

    TEST A

    If you set the folder notification as above,
    When you upload a new item to the Notification folder, you will receive a notification with the email title "Added to TEST A".
    "It's easier to understand the email title that the item has been added to the Notification folder, so I'd like to change the function.

  15. Directly copy files from Salesforce's native file storage to Box via the Box Folder Component which is present on a record

    Be able to drag and drop files stored in Salesforce's native file storage into the Box for Salesforce LWC to save the file down from Salesforce into the dedicated Box folder for the record.

  16. Display warning notification (admin controls) for moving large files and folders.

    We have large projects folders containing 5+ GB of data. Would like to have a warning notification similar to that of deleting a file, pop up when someone goes to move a file or folder.

    Ideally this would have customizable parameters controlled by the admin such as warn users only when file contains over 100 mb or even a feature that requires admin approval over a certain amount.

    We recently had one of our very large folders moved accidentally and it caused a huge bandwidth issue as well as displaced the many sub folders that various departments relied on.

  18. Admin-level alert notification on certain Box Drive permission errors

    Users can create folders in Box Drive at the root level. In a closed folder taxonomy, the folder does not sync and fails with permission and/or problem item errors. If a user does not address the notification (or notifications are disabled), users can continue to create content in the unsynced folders. Icon overlays are also not reliable, so this will not be discovered until the content is lost due to hardware failure or software/OS reload. Consider alerting admins of these issues via the event stream or Shield-type alerts to prevent data loss, or disabling the creation of folders this…

    An option to have the signed email notification be an option on it's own. The amount of emails TS sends is a lot, but this would be a key email that some may want to keep an eye out for.
