I would like to be able to customzie the content preview window side bar
Once Box AI is enabled it takes the top spot as the default sidebar view in the content preview window. Some of my users would like the Activity Tab to load first, as they depend on seeing comments. Being able to customize the sidebar icons would be great

SSO Authentication Should Be Counted as Login in User Statistics Report
SSO Authentication is not counted as "Login" in User Statistics report. SSO Authentication is also "Login" activity. It should be counted.

Currently, malicious user will easily be able to impersonate the recipient. To prevent fraud, disabling in-person role is necessary.

Enable users to add timestamp notes (annotations, comments) on files with audio or video. For example: the ability to add a note at a certain point in time in the video, especially for feedback purposes.

Eliminate confirmation email for manually created or provisioned accounts
We feel that the confirmation email step should not be utilized with accounts that are manually created in the portal or that are auto provisioned from AD. When we create a new account, there is a "delay" with the new email address being propagated and established in our third-party cloud-based email security system. This causes the new email to be added to the hard bounce list at Box due to the email address not being valid (yet). Shield Malware Threat Detection False Positives on Excel Documents with Macros
Multiplan (160k ARR) turned on Malware Deep Scan and was getting 3-5 false positives per day because users across multiple departments often work on Excel Documents with Macros. Due to their process, users need to upload new versions of these Excel documents daily (they cannot use Version Control to handle this). So the IT team is being pinged every time a new version is added. This has been so overwhelming that the IT team has turned off Malware Detection. They will enable again if Macros are not accidentally flagged as potentially malicious.

At Box, we want to make sure our customers have controls to manage alerts that are generated and stop any unnecessary noise. We have some additional detection filters for our malware detection rule on the proposed roadmap for this year.

See folder structure
Display the folder structure in BoxDrive instead of presenting isolated folders without context.
For example, if the folder structure is:
X
|- Y
|- Zand our access is limited to folder Z, it would be much more intuitive for the interface to display folder X as the main folder, with only folder Z visible inside it.
This would help provide greater clarity regarding the folder hierarchy and enhance the user experience by offering context rather than showing only folder Z in isolation.11 votes -
Consistent TimeZone Reporting
Good morning,
I think it is important that all the reporting is consistent in the way it is generated. Right now there are three linked reports that are treated differently and make more difficult to compare them. Though the underlying purpose is different, it is clear that they are related and it would help a lot that they use the same exact time zone.These reports are:
- Platform Activity. Generated by using PST time zone.
- User Activity. Generated by using the report requester time zone.

Users can currently comment on files, and this request is to extend that functionality to allow users to add annotations to specific locations within a document or file.

2FA for external users - have the option to have the second factor email instead of text. Or give the option for either text or email.

Set default file view and sort options by folder (and all sub folders for that folder)
Ideally, let an owner or editor of a folder set the default view (list or grid) and sort order of the files.
The system default appears to be by date the file was updated which is rarely (if ever) what our users want.
Re: view options: For photos especially, the list view is rarely the preferred view.
Additionally, with the grid view, allow the size of the image also be set as a default.
This may not be an admin console enhancement. I think it needs to be a under More when you’re looking a a folder.

Admin Console Report - Need to filer Upload types under User Statistics Report
We are pulling admin console reports for User Statistics - Under Uploads, we would like to see a filter for files and folders for their App Users.

We have applied Box Shield's [Download and Print Restriction] to "For Box Desktop" and [Microsoft Office Coauthoring Basics] via browser is also disabled.

Populate accessible_by field in get collaborations
When managing collaborators, the end user needs to see who they have sent invitations to, even if those invitations have not yet been accepted and the other user has not created a box account. The call to get collaborations on a file or folder returns accessible_by: null for pending collaboration requests, essentially hiding the details of the pending requests and making it impossible to display those details to a user in a custom app. This data is definitely available because this feature exists in the main Box.com interface, but has not been exposed to the APIs yet.

Custom link URL sensitive content warning is misplaced
Under the checkbox to set a custom URL there is this warning: "Custom URLs should not be used when sharing sensitive content."
Custom URLs are not the problem! Anyone who guesses a custom URL and is thereby able to access it already had permissions needed to access it.
The warning should be "'Anyone with the link' should not be used when sharing sensitive content" and it should be in the prior popup.
Meanwhile, when a user has created a restricted link and then comes here to make a custom URL, the existing warning creates needless Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt in…

Ability to specify the destination folder for periodic output of Box reports
We would like to be able to output Box reports periodically by specifying a folder.
Currently, it is possible to output reports on a regular basis, but when providing them to users, it is necessary to manually move the output results, which takes a lot of man-hours.

Select user group on BOX Rleay's workflow
When creating a workflow using BOX Relay, groups cannot be set as recipients in the notification options. When notifying a large number of people, it is time-consuming to enter the address for each person, so it would be nice to be able to set groups.
