1. Allow Adobe Bridge to Show BOX Drive Folders/Files (Worked in Previous BOX Version)

   With the update to BOX Drive Version 2.24.208, Adobe Bridge no longer shows BOX folders and Files when opening files in the application. In pervious BOX Drive version, Adobe Bridge showed folders/files, just like any other files – either local or in other cloud applications. HUGE inconvenience to workflow. Please reinstate this functionality.

2. Ability to customize collaborator privilege

   Want to automate the task of "when the viewer / uploader notices the need to update a particular locked file, ask the editor to confirm and approve the file update"?
   To do this, from the perspective of user permissions, you need collaborator permissions that remove one permission from the viewer / uploader and grant one permission.

   -Collaborator authority that grants manual workflow startup authority to viewer / uploader authority and cannot unlock files.

   By realizing this authority, the following workflow can be automated in combination with Box Relay.

   (1) Lock the approved document managed by the editor.
   (2) The viewer / uploader notices the need to update the file.
   (3) The viewer / uploader starts a manual workflow for the file.
   (4) The information is notified to the editor by Box Relay, and the editor confirms the content and approves the work.
   (5) The file lock is released by Box Relay.
   Box Relay assigns a task to the viewer / uploader that invokes the manual workflow.
   (6) After the work is completed, the viewer / uploader presses the task completion button to proceed with the workflow.
   (7) The editor confirms the contents and approves the file.
   (8) Approved files are locked again by Box relay.

   The above is a specific story, but in general there are only 7 collaborator privileges, so many BOX users may have tasks that they want to perform but cannot. There is a possibility that all can be solved by creating a customizable collaborator privilege that allows each item to be set freely.

3. Right now, Box's search engine is kinda useless

   So, i contacted Box through chat to ask why the search engine wasn't looking for the specific input i searched for, and among other things i was told that the engine will look for files/folders which match ANY of the words in your input and has no capability of looking for files containing ALL of the words searched for which most search engine have, be it web search or OS search.

   So, here's the problem, we have around 10.000 files uploaded to box, and lots of them share several words which indicate the client's name or what the file contains. So if i have a file called, for example "GAT Flyer Expo 2020", and look for "gat flyer expo 2020", instead of looking for a file with ALL of those words in it's name, it will look for any files that contain any of those words, resulting in 2.000+ results, of which i then have to manually search for file i was looking for, which defeats the purpose of a search engine.

   So, Box's engine should have the capability to search for files that contain all of the words in the input, instead of looking for files containing any of the words. Kinda imperative as a function i'd say.

4. I would love if we could Embed AI Agents, and assign specific AI Agents to specific Hubs.

   Hi there! I'm trying to make the power of Box AI accessible to my users. Right now the best thing would be to give them a chatbot to read HR documents, on our Intranet in Sharepoint.

   I would love to be able to embed ONLY the Agent into Sharepoint, but so far we can only embed the Box Hub. Therefore if my user wants to ask about their HR benifits, my user has to:
   1. Go to the HR Sharepoint Site (where they normally find info on employee benefits, etc.)
   2. Unlock the blue/white Box Cloud image (see: "RC HR Screenshot 0 - Embedded into Sharepoint.png")
   3. Read my instructions on the hub, ignore the folders in the hub, and click the Box AI button (see: "RC HR Screenshot 1 - user reads instructions.png")
   4. Change the Default AI Agent (see: "RC HR Screenshot 2 - default AI Agent.png")
   5. The user has to somehow know that they're using the default AI agent, and they need to use the dropdown to the proper HR Agent "HeberBot" (see: RC HR Screenshot 3 - Dropdown to proper Agent.png)
   6. then finally type their question.

   I would love for this to be simplified somehow. Can you suggest other ways, or let me know if there's something that box has planned to simplify this? The best outcome would be: I would love for my user to go to the HR site, and type questions to the correct AI Agent.

   So I guess this request can be broken down to 2 technical asks:
   1. Embed Box AI Agents/chatboxes directly into sharepoint.
   2. Allow admins to assign specific AI Agents to specific Box Hubs. ( For example, my HR agent to my HR document hub. And inherantly disallow the default Box AI agent, or other AI Agents)

5. Display folder path under file/folder listings

   For example, for a folder "Project 1" several levels down in the Box hierarchy, display the folder path under the folder name:

   Project 1
   All Files > Level 1 > Level 2 > Level 3 > Level 4

   The folder path would be in a font smaller than the folder name and a slightly muted colour compared to the folder name

6. Provide enterprise configuration of folder metadata cascade

   1. Provide an enterprise configuration option that would allow viewing/editing/adding folder level metadata without also enabling the ability to cascade metadata.
   2. Provide an enterprise configuration option that would limit the ability to initiate cascading metadata to owners and co-owners.

7. Improve management of pending invitations via API

   As we continue to build and customize the collaboration mechanism we found it difficult to manage pending invitations. When calling your API api.box.com/2.0/folders<folder_id>/collaborations it returns approved collaborators in the “accessibleby” object but when it return PENDING collaborators the “accessibleby” object is null, but there’s status “pending” on this collaborator. We would imagine it would capture the email address of that pending collaborator. Seeing this is capable in your public domain to show the pending collaborator with an email address would be very useful to create modules to manage pending collaborators (e.g. resending the invitation, update the email address, etc..).

   The temporary solution that was offered:

   1) create our own database to manage and capture external emails that were sent invitation to collaborate

   OR

   2) query the event logs to find those external emails.

   It doesn’t seem to be very efficient for us to adopt these solutions for the interim when BOX’s API already aware of the email value and Box has the mechanism to manage these pending collaborators and move them to approved once they have a profile in Box.com. This will also help reduce traffic and processes if Box can capture this detail in the collaboration dataset.

   As we continue to build and customize the collaboration mechanism we found it difficult to manage pending invitations. 8. Improve Iconography for Bookmarks

   Currently, the Bookmarks Icon offers no distinction between a bookmark to another folder, file, or external site. Users are less likely to click on these bookmarks since the icon looks like a hyperlink instead of a folder.

   Request:
   (1) Allow user to identify if the bookmark is to another Box folder, File or External Site when creating it.
   (2) Based on the user's selection, update the icons for bookmarks to look like a folder or file icon as opposed to a generic link/bookmark icon.

9. Add ability to add symbols or words on different parts of the post-its on canvas

   We're using the canvas to plan project activities and sequence them using a pull planning methodology. It would be helpful if we could edit the top part or bottom part of the note that is currently unused margin to add comments.
   
   We'd like to add durations like 2w, 1d, etc or a symbol that means something in one corner or a champion in another. Sort of like headers and footers on a word document but for the notes.

10. Please reflect "Notify affected users" setting change on the security logs report

    Currently, "Notify affected users: x days before expiration" setting change does not get reflected on the security logs report.

    <Repro steps:>

    1. Go to Admin Console > Enterprise Settings > [Content & Sharing] tab.
    2. Make sure "Automatically remove invited collaborators" is ON.
    3. Turn on or off "Notify affected users: x days before expiration" checkbox and save the setting, with "Automatically remove invited collaborators" kept ON.
    4. Run the security logs report.

    Currently the change does not get logged on the security logs report.
    Please reflect this "Notify affected users" setting change on the security logs report.

11. Fix custom logo resolution & display issues

    Presently there are two main issues that Box needs to fix with the way it displays custom company logos:

    1. Custom logos display at an extremely low resolution. It's 2023 and our company's logo looks blurry and very bad on most screens. Logos used in the Box Sign branding are crisp and high resolution and look great. This is not the case for logos used within the standard Box file management platform though. Please fix this.

    2. Right now Box has the option to upload 2 different versions of your company logo. One for use on a white background and one for use on your 'brand color' background. This is great, but due to a bug I have been reporting for years, Box in certain cases will display the wrong logo version. For example, on a shared public link to a file (not a folder), it has a white banner at the top of the screen and it displays the "logo for use on brand color" instead of the correct "logo for use on white." This is just a bug that needs to be fixed.

    In short, please fix the way that custom company logos display in Box. Our clients are interacting with our files and it is important that our brand is represented in a way that looks professional and displays our logo correctly.

    When a user is setting up 2 factor authentication, the message says it will replace your login settings. It needs to say explicity "Box settings", as it now leads you to believe it is replacing your authenticator app settings that is used for the employee's company login.

    We want to create a new workflow, after the folder creation.

    We are planning to have two types of flows, "Project folder creation flow" & "Approval flow(under the newly created folder)".
    The "Project folder creation" is fine, but for "Approval flow" we need to create it each time after new project folder has created.
    So it would be great if we can create the "Approval flow" after the project folder has created.

    Outcome: Copy the prepared folders underneath the folder which triggered the relay.

15. Transfer Ownership Enterprise Event

    Currently, when you delete a user the only way to show that the content from one user to another user in the enterprise events are track two separate events:
    - UPLOAD (Creation of the new folder with the user's naming convention)
    - MOVE (From unknown location/user, to the new folder)

    This mean you needs to track the newly created parent.name and the move event with the item.name. I'm proposing two potential enhancements:

    1) Enhance the MOVE event to show the source user/item details AND target user/item details.
    2) Create a new TRANSFER_OWNERSHIP event so that you can distinguish between a regular MOVE event and a transfer event as a result of deleting a user.

16. Use Metadata Fields to Rename Files

    In Relay, under the Rename outcome, I would like to be able to use fields from a metadata template as pieces to rename the file (and have (2) etc. added to the end of a file name in the case that duplicate names are generated like Windows does).

    If a metadata template is part of a file request for a given folder, then I would like the option to use its fields to rename files through a workflow that is trigged when a file is uploaded. For example, when file is uploaded, rename uploaded file to "Submission by 'metadata-first-name' 'metadata-email-address'".

17. File uploads are extremely slow.

    File uploads are extremely slow. For example, a group of 3 x 20Mb files might take an entire day to upload on a 5mb.s connection. This has happened in the past 3-4 weeks.
    I found the root cause of it. I am in New Zealand and redirected to the Tokyo server, which is very very slow. I verified that this upload path is an issue thus:
    Tried to upload a 20Mb file using browser (via Tokyo) - 2 hrs later the file was at 20% upload. Cancelled the upload.
    Connected a VPN onto Los Angeles. Uploaded the same file (and others). Uploads completed in less than a minute.
    This performance issue forces me to use a VPN each time I use Box to upload which is burdensome.

    Currently, only two legal hold contents can be exported at a time, and the maximum export size is 4TB.
    When there are many legal hold targets, the export setting needs to be repeated many times to download them, which takes a large amount of time.
    Therefore, we would like you to revise the maximum number of targets and capacity.

20. Select the type of access from Box for Outlook.

    【Prerequisites】
    Folder Settings>Only collaborators can access this folder via shared links
    Set to "Folders Only". ( *It is not "Files Only". )

    【Method】
    1.Run the Box for Outlook "Upload and Attach".
    2.Select the items you want to attach to the email and select a folder in the Box.
    3.Select the type of access.
    *However, the pull-down for selecting the type of access will only show "Users in this folder".

    【Requests】
    Even when the above preconditions have been set,
    we want to select "People with the link" or "People in Company" or "invited people only" from Box for Outlook.

    【前提条件】
    フォルダ設定＞共有リンクで共同作業者のみがこのフォルダにアクセスできるようにする
    「フォルダのみ」に設定します。( ※「ファイルのみ」ではありません。)

    【操作手順】
    1.Outlook用のBox「アップロードと添付」を実行します。
    2.メールに添付したい項目を選択し、Box内のフォルダを選択します。
    3.アクセスの種類を選択します。
    ※しかし、アクセスの種類を選択するプルダウンには「このフォルダのユーザー」しか表示されません。

    【ご要望】
    上記前提条件の設定時であっても、
    Box for Outlookから「リンクを知っている全員」、「社内のユーザー」、「招待されたユーザーのみ」を選択したい。
