Publish a changelog of Box Drive updates
The blog is nothing close to release notes and version history. I’m looking for something more industry standard. Please put that in as a feature request. Knowing, for example when 2.0.70 and 2.1.105 were officially released (date) and the changelog (massaged for general consumption, if not raw) si what these are for and these press releases on the blog are not a replacement for technical info.

Alert on folder names not allowed in Box web
Box Drive will alert when a folder name isn't valid. Would be nice that there would be a way to not allow folder names in Box web when Box Drive doesn't support it.

Box drive's system extension update
I am running BoxDrive version 2.23.422
After I upgrade my Mac (for example, from BigSur 11.5 -> 11.6), I get an error dialog the first time I try to open Box Drive. It says "Box Drive's system extension failed to load. Please make sure it has been enabled in System Preferences > Security & Privacy and then restart your computer. ....".
Reinstalling Box Drive and restarting the computer doesn't fix it. I found a workaround at https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360051323454-Box-Drive-s-system-extension-failed-to-load which fixes it, but I have to apply that workaround each time I…

Use Box (cloud, not drive) as browser's download location
I need a solution for preventing files downloaded from the web from being saved directly to my device. This puts sensitive client information on the device and requires me to delete the file after uploading it to Box, and hackers can still find information on a hard drive that has been "deleted". It would be much more secure if I could select Box as the browser's location where all downloads are stored. It seems this should be possible with Box's browser extension.
Box Drive is not an acceptable solution for this since it is just as accessible as…

Direct transfer tool on macOS from connected NAS to Box online, bypassing the local drive cache
Our scenario is a NAS with 80TB worth of data on it. Mac-only environment.
I know about the standalone transfer tool available on Windows, but this is no option for our macOS environment.
Box Shuttle (cloud) is not an option to get this data onto Box, either as it can't connect to our NAS direclty (and it being in offline network segment).
Uploading in 1 go from the web portal fails miserably.
Drag'n'drop from NAS to connected Box Drive client fills up disk space beyond capacity.
Copying files from my NAS to Box Drive requires a tedious, manual process…

Add 'x' or cancel/clear button to clear out old search terms in Box Drive
Box Drive keeps the previous search terms in the search bar. If the user wants to do a new search, they need to manually clear out the old text.
Our user would like to have an "x" button at the end of the search bar they could click to clear the field, versus selecting the text to delete it manually

Ability that restrict to create a file/folder on the root folder and move/copy to the root folder on Box Drive
.Ability that restrict to create a file/folder on the root folder and move/copy to the root folder on Box Drive if their enterprise set "Restrict content creation"
Currently, we can perform operation create/move/copy in the root folder on Box Drive even though our enterprise set "Restrict content creation".
Of course, the files/folders are marked as problem items, but if we move to the folder directly under the root folder, it looks like they have been moved to the folder, so logging off from Box Drive or replacing with new device due to hardware issue may lead to lose some contents.3 votes -

Allow users to manually prompt Box Drive upgrade from the Drive menu.
If a user's machine is running, they will receive the prompt to upgrade to a new version, even if they are not actively using their machine. This will cause users to miss the upgrade prompt for 24 hours.
We would ask that messaging is added to the Drive menu letting a user know that a "new version is available." If they click this, they will again receive the prompt to upgrade.

Select folders from hard drive to sync with box
Rather than syncing to a separate Box folder on my desktop, I would an application that would make it able to flag folders and files that already exist on my hard drive. I would very much prefer to be able to open my Windows Explorer and right-click on a folder and make a selection that would automatically sync that folder from where it is in my hard drive to Box.

Select folders from hard drive to sync with box
It would be very convenient to have an application that would allow a person to go in from their Windows Explorer to flag folders that already exist on the hard drive that would be synced and updated on Box. I would strongly prefer this to having to sync things the other way around, as I consider my hard drive to be my "home base". For instance, I would like to just right-click on my work folder located on my hard drive, and then select an option that would flag it to be synced with my box account so…
