Folder access expiration date for internal and external users access to folders
Add a feature to allow user's access to folders to expire on a pre-set date that can be determined at the time you are adding them as a collaborator. We have various students and interns floating through our department that only need temporary access to certain folders and its become incredibly challenging to go back and remove access on a rolling basis.

adding code to end of URL so content displays expanded automatically when a folder link is shared.
Can you add some sort of feature so that we can control how content in folders display when we share folder links? Right now, content automatically displays in a list view and then you can zoom in to show a larger/expanded view of content.
Can you make it so that we can add code to the end of the url link that will make the content display in the expanded view automatically? Or is there another way to change the preferences so that when we share folder links it automatically displays the content expanded?
Thanks!

Add/Update 'Active Shared Link' Badge when Link Has Expiration Set
Adjust the 'active shared link' badge/icon to include a visual if that link is set to expire.
0 votesThis is currently not on the roadmap as we have not heard this request from many other customers.
We will consider it in the future if there is increased customer demand.

display order of files/folders in the browser version of Box
Since the display order of files/folders in the browser version of Box is dynamically changed in the order of new and updated, it is often difficult to find files/folders, so I would like to change the display order like Windows Explorer.

Manage Folders and Files by Other Users
I recently noticed that, as an administrator/owner of The Animal League of Green Valley account, I cannot see folders and files deleted by other users.
This caused a serious problem when a user accidentally deleted a folder and then left for an extended leave.
I expected to be able to enter "Trash", see the folder and restore it; however, it was not visible to me.
Fortunately, we were able to contact the user who deleted the folder, and that person was able to restore it, but the situation could have been much worse, disastrous actually.
It seems to me that…

Ability to create an index of a folder structure
1) A way to create an index of a folder structure to make it easier for outside collaborators to get an idea of whats down the folder tree. We’re looking for some sort of index (like a table of contents) in an orderly fashion for a particular set of folders. I ran a files and folders report but as just an excel sheet it was relatively useless as a table of contents
2) A way to schedule a report to run daily or weekly

create folder
Can we create a new folder that way we can organize documents we upload onto BOX? like if i have a bunch of pictures from a specific vacation, and other pictures from other vacations, i'd rather each picture be in specific folders rather than all over the place and i have to guess when and where the picture or file is and where it belongs to.
thanks

A User activity report on folders created only
We are looking to generate a user activity report on folders created only. Currently, user activity has file management > uploaded as an option which will include files uploaded and folders created but we would just like folders created and not files uploaded.

Ability to create "search folders" or "saved searches"
Instead of doing a new search each time, it would be great to be able to save a search and run it at any time with one click. That search could appear in your All Files view as a Search Folder (e.g., named "New PDFs re XYZ") and when you click the folder it runs the search; or as a saved search accessible on the left menu.
8 votesHi, it is currently possible to save a search by using the URL. See https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043696314-Search-for-Files-Folders-and-Content for instructions on how to save a search and bookmark it.

Ability to hide feed updates by folder level
Like others have mentioned before, Feed can be too busy to make it useful. There are many folders I am invited in where I don't need to see updates. It would be useful to have the ability to silence those folders on your feed so you are only getting updates from the folders you are interested in.

Folders and Files Report Filtering Settings
Request:
In the folders and files reports, we want to output the results filtered by the content's "Creation Date (range specified)" or "Upload Date (range specified)".example:
Output a list of content that was newly uploaded (or created) within a specific time range (MM/DD to MM/DD) stored in Boxmerit:
By carefully selecting only the minimum amount of information required to be output in a report, you can reduce the time it takes to output the report.
In addition, since there is no need to process the output reports, work efficiency can be improved.
…4 votes -
Users who have permission to output reports should be able to select "target folders and files" within the scope of their access rights
Under the current specification, only administrators or authorized co-administrators can select the "target folders and files" when outputting the User Activity Report.
For the sake of business efficiency, I would like to see users who have permission to output reports be able to select "target folders and files" within the scope of their access rights.
11 votes -
folder notification
Notifications about folder activity for emails who are not collaborators in the folder.
Use case: Our end users are not allowed to access cloud data sites on our corporate network per compliance regulations thus them not being added as a collaborators. I sync the folders down to our file servers and share them creating a two-way data sync between our end users and their clients who use the website. I’ve just been asked to supply alerts when a client performs activities in shared folders but can’t do so directly because I can’t add specific email addresses to the alerts.

Folder of aliases to Box files for sharing
In order to supply a group of files to a collaborator such as an outside contractor, one must copy existing files into a new folder. We need a way to gather the ALIAS /SHORTCUT to multiple files that can be placed in a single shared folder.

Allow admins to be able to exclude specific folders from scanning policies
Be able to safelist individual folders and their content, in case the latter are part of normal operational activities of specific teams, and to reduce false positives/noise to SecOps teams.

Logging in to Box from a shared link should not redirect to home
With the current iteration of Box, when you follow a shared link while not logged in, the only way to log in is to click "Go to My Account" which directs you to your home page on your Box Account. This requires re-following the link again to get to the shared item as a logged in user. This adds several additional clicks to the simple task of following a shared link from an internal email regarding new comments on an item, for example.
This was not the case in the past, where there was a "Log In to My Account"…
