Allow admins to be able to exclude specific folders from scanning policies
Be able to safelist individual folders and their content, in case the latter are part of normal operational activities of specific teams, and to reduce false positives/noise to SecOps teams.

The ability to add an auto-expiration on specific external collaborators access to a specified file or folder.
I would like an Expiration option date picker to be added to the Collaboration Invite window. This will allow our company to let a user privilege expire without us being forced to expire by auto-deleting a folder, or sharing a link that expires but can also be shared with others in the meantime.
18 votesUnfortunately this is not planned in the near-term, but please do keep adding use cases so we can consider this request for the future.

Top folders in Box Drive should respect top folder restrictions
We currently have it set to “Only Admin can create and delete first-level folders, file and bookmarks”.
But it is still possible to create folders in Box Drive and store files within them, but they aren’t actually uploaded to Box (as users do not have permission to create these top level folders), and they are saved locally

Thank you for this feedback! This is not currently planned. We will reconsider this with additional demand.

Users want to customize their "home" Box page to limit # of folders in view
Users would ideally like to be able to create folders within their own home screen to sort & categorize folders they've been granted access to.
These folders would be for personal organizational purposes, but would not actually impact the folder structure overall. This group felt that the Favorites feature was not sufficient on its own.

Users who have permission to output reports should be able to select "target folders and files" within the scope of their access rights
Under the current specification, only administrators or authorized co-administrators can select the "target folders and files" when outputting the User Activity Report.
For the sake of business efficiency, I would like to see users who have permission to output reports be able to select "target folders and files" within the scope of their access rights.
11 votes -
Copy files to Relevant Folders based on Tags or Automation Rules
We would like to setup Automation rules for folders that would COPY and not MOVE new files to designated folders.
To take the idea even further, if the COPY could be triggered by a TAG assignment, it would be even better, because some of the files in the affected folder should not be copied, while other should.

Collaboration Domain Whitelisting at Folder Level
We want to whitelist other domains at the folder level so that collaboration can be open with certain clients on external folders while also being completely blocking collaboration with any other domains.

Show classification of files in Box Drive
We use Classifications to indicate restrictions on who a file can be shared with, e.g. confidential information supplied by third party that cannot be shared with other parties involved in a project. While classification is displayed within Box, there is no indication of the restriction if the file is accessed through Box Drive which could lead to unauthorized disclosure.

Please keep the feedback & use cases coming to help us prioritize this in the future!

Add ability to Move Folders & Delete Folders through Zapier
Currently, there is no ability to move or delete a folder through Zapier. This functionality would greatly improve our ability to keep our folder structure organized and cut down on reliance on users to perform these actions.

Ability of business to enable/disable password protection of documents/folders function
The functionality allowing users to password protect documents and folders, should be manageable at the top level, as this function may cause problems with managing content if over used by users.
A simple enable/disable toggle for each group of users (Previewer, Editor etc) - so that users may/may not have the ability to password protect documents/folders depending on their permissions in particular locations
Admin Console - reporting locations and details of password protected documents and folders

Automatically generate a password for the shared link
I would like to request the addition of a feature that generates a random password meeting the password requirements on the screen where users create an open sharing link and are prompted to set a password.
When there is a requirement to set a password, manually creating a password each time can be burdensome.4 votes -
Using the Outlook Integration: Shared link settings be customizable (default to "Collaborators Only).
All email recipients should then be automatically added as a collaborator to the piece of content being shared.

Show collaboration folder path for External users
When we look at external users, now we can see a folder that they are collaborators in but we cannot see the path to it nor can we navigate to that folder. Can that functionality be added so we can more easily see what folders are shared and what is in them?

Grant an admin access to all folders with one click.
I would like a way to easily grant an admin access to all folders instead of having to add them to each root folder one by one.
