2. Allow Auto-creation and Auto-deletion of Box folders in NetSuite per record

   Introduce functionality within the Box–NetSuite integration to automatically create associated Box folders when a NetSuite record is created, eliminating the need for users to manually click the “Default” button.
   Additionally, enable automatic deletion of the corresponding Box folder when the related NetSuite record is deleted, ensuring better data hygiene and consistency between systems.
   As part of this enhancement, provide administrators or consultants with the ability to toggle this feature on or off by record type, allowing organizations to apply automation selectively based on their business needs.

   - Reduces manual user actions and wait time for folder creation

3. Create folders in bulk by a specific destination folder using Relay at run time.

   Hello,

   As an example for you: our practice uses box.com for our architectural packages. Currently when we want to create a new project folder with specific names and sub folders we have to duplicate an existing set of folders and rename them all then move them to a new location.

   It would be helpful if Box Relay could let users choose a destination folder in Box at run time as part of a “Project folder creation” workflow.

   For example, during a form submission (or via a simple pop-up), the user could browse/select where the new project folder—and its standard subfolders—should be created.

   Right now, Relay requires the destination folder to be predefined in the workflow. That means we have to create a separate form/workflow for each client or brand just to point to a different parent folder.

   What we need is a single Relay workflow that:

   • Collects the project details,
   • Creates the standard folder/subfolder structure,
   • Applies naming/renaming rules, and
   • Lets the user select the correct client/brand destination folder each time.

6. Controlling the Visibility of External Collaboration Folders in Box Drive via Admin Settings

   We would like administrators to be able to control the visibility of external folders in Box Drive via the Admin Console.

   When using Box Drive, the following security risks exist:
   ・Risk of data leakage due to user error: Files or folders may be accidentally dragged and dropped into external collaboration folders.
   ・Risk of ransomware spreading to external tenants: If a user falls victim to ransomware, the encryption attack may also affect external collaboration folders belonging to other companies.

   We would like administrators to be able to control the visibility of external folders in Box Drive via the Admin Console. Rather than users configuring this themselves, we want administrators to be able to enforce the hiding of external collaboration folders through Admin settings.
   ・Control scope: the enterprise level and the group level.
   ・Target: External Folders
   ・Control details: Toggle display/hide on Box Drive (access remains available via the web app)
   ・Configuration permissions: Only administrators can change settings (end users cannot make changes)
   ・Scope of application: All users at once, or on a per-user or per-group basis

   ・When an administrator enables “Hide External Folders,” only internal company folders will be displayed in the end user’s Box Drive.
   ・Access to external collaboration folders remains possible via the Box web app (ensuring business continuity).

8. Request to increase item count per folder limit

   We would like to be able to add more than 15,000 items per folder. We are working with multi-level folders structures within our environment and anticipate having more than 15,000 items within the first level of their subfolders.

   We have an internal initiative to scale up this and several other metrics. And we have made significant progress in terms of the number of items that can be stored in a Folder. I am happy to report that our research have shown that our infrastructure can easily scale up to 1 Billion items in a single Folder.

   Since this initiative is underway, we are in the process of understanding how such a scale impacts the usability of our first party applications that sits on top of our platform. However, accessing such large number of items on a single folder via our APIs should be straightforward.

   Disclaimer: We are not yet committing that such scale limits will be available to all pricing tiers.

9. Unify Time Zone Handling for Expiration Dates of File Requests and Shared Links

   Currently, Box handles expiration dates differently depending on the feature: Shared Links use PST/PDT as the standard, while File Requests rely on the local time zone of the device used to create the link. As a result, even when the same expiration date is set, the actual expiration timing can differ between the two types of links.

   Having different time zone behaviors across Box features lacks consistency in implementation and is not intuitive for users. We kindly request that the time zone handling be unified across features.

10. Metrics for tracking most oft-accessed files on a Box Drive shared among a team, department, etc.

    OneDrive's tallying of the number of times particular files are accessed and by whom helped direct organization efforts for cloud storage and understand staff behavior. The Box Drive does not have a similar quantitative feature, as far as I know. Possible to create such a feature, to track who, when, and how often particular files and folders are used by staff permitted access? Thank you!

11. I am trying to see if I can lock down folders to prevent people from accidental moving or deletion.

    In Box Drive (File Explorer), sometimes our users accidentally move folders into other folders, not realizing what they did. Then people cannot find what they are looking for. Is there a way we can prevent this? Or is there a way we can prevent this for higher-level folders? Or is there a way a user can receive a prompt along the lines of "Are you sure you wish to move this folder?"

    Ideally we license Box Shield and it could easily be a policy based on metadata or tagging for certain folders.

    This would probably make the most sense.

    Any folder tagged with #nomove just couldn’t be moved unless it was first untagged on the web interface by an owner, editor or admin.

    It seems customers have been clamoring for this feature for years. It would bring tremendous value to your service.

12. Manage Box Drive folders that sync with the Box.com - I have to uninstall Box Drive from all of my devices

    Because I cannot select which folders to sync from Box.com, I cannot use Box Drive which makes going back to One Drive extremely appealing.

    This seems like such basic functionality and it's very disappointing that Box didn't provide it - and actually took it away when moving from Box Sync.

    My idea is for Box Drive to provide the same basic functionality that Box Sync had and One Drive and Google Drive and Dropbox have.

13. Add the optional message text on Shared Link Email to the event in the API

    When a user clicks the email button the Share Link screen they have the ability to enter an optional message to the person they are sending the link too. This optional message is not captured anywhere in the Box system or event stream. The only way to capture a record of this optional message is with the Compliance Email Archive. Customer would like for this optional message be captured in the event stream so 3rd party compliance software can capture that information. This is an issue in regulated industries like Wealth Management in Financial Services that require logging ALL potential messages that may go to a customer.

14. Prevent desktop box folder deletion

    Please create a way to globally disable users the ability to delete folders from their desktop with Box Drive.

    They are under the impression that if they hit "delete" on the folders they are removed from the Projects. This in turn has caused a lot of chaos from team members deleting the entire Project folders instead of going to the Box website and revoking their permissions.

    No amount of training we try do it can solve this with a company our size.

    Team members are deleting terabytes of data and it's exhausting trying to recover all this data.

    This is not on the short term roadmap (6 month) due to other higher priorities.

17. Enable Box DICOM Proxy to send to multiple pre-configured folders

    Currently, the Box DICOM Proxy can only send files to 1 specified folder and they are organized dynamically based on the DICOM metadata. If an admin wants to send files to multiple folders based on their own routing logic independent of the DICOM metadata, they need to install multiple instances of the Proxy. This is not scalable when multiple folders are at play.

    The ask is to enhance the proxy to support multiple destinations per installation of the proxy. Each destination would point to a pre-defined folder created by the admin.

19. Box Relay - ability to share a folder to a group

    In Box Relay it would be nice to be able to share a folder to a group and not only to users.
    Entering all the members of the group one by one can be time consuming and over time the members of a group evolve, which means that the Box Relay settings have to be changed.

20. Documents within Folders
